Season 6 Episode "cure the common code" (604) - Krátké a kreslené filmy
- Teller, any chance you have your driver's licence with you?
- Nope
- Ok bye guys
Yes I was very lucky ;-)
I always wonder what would happen if a magician asked one of them to come up to the stage and they just looked him or her dead in the eyes and said, "no". 😂
@@nibsabbath1825 If I were in the magician's place and that happens, I would just move on to a more cooperative member from my audience.. 🙂
Of course they prearranged it. And it's a prop license. You don't think the state of Nevada would issue a license to "Teller" rather than requiring his full legal name, do you?
@@goodmaro I believe Teller legally changed his name from his birth name Raymond Joseph Teller to just "Teller".
Teller is 71 and hops up those steps like a gazelle still. Might not seem like much but that man stayed in shape.
He's like the "old frail chinese guy" in the Prestige, he's stronger than he looks.
I love teller
Yeah he's 71, born in 1948.
I asked him what his secret was, but he didn't want to talk about it.
Krizefugl : Teller is 71 but the way he moves it’s magic.
Am I the only one impressed with the blurring quality of the drivers license? 😂😂
Right!? Hahah
No lie I was impressed too
Real magic in action for sure
110% 😂
5:03 you can see Teller's face on his license in full glory. So cute.
I’m not impressed. Obviously, he broke into Teller’s house at night, stole his driver’s license, made an exact replica of the license, and returned the original before Teller noticed it was missing.
OBVIOUSLY!
The real magic is in the comments
Yaaa may be
id10t ...
He made the replica and replaced it for the real one. Did the trick and Teller got the real one back. Nice!
A routine about forms and applications is very German 🤣
Great trick! Brave man doing it directly in front of Teller who was watching both hands every moment.
Imagine later Teller was pulled up and the traffic cop said "this a fake license where's the real one"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ballsy of him to pull Teller up specifically. For those not in the know, Teller is considered one of the greatest sleight of hand magicians alive, so to do this type of trick right in front of HIM? Ballsy. Also not surprising he couldn’t fool them.
That's why. Imagine if he had actually fooled the best slight of hand magician in the world from 6 inches away!
That's like laying out Mohammed Ali with a sucker punch on your first try! Straight up streed cred.
But as he said, he sells tricks. This was his way of advertising his tricks to anyone interested to buy them. It's pretty common on Fool Us to see guys come on just to show off a trick they know won't fool them just for the publicity.
I was just about to comment about your metaphor about Ali, but I think I misunderstood it at first. I think the "Straight up street cred." threw me off, but I think you meant to sucker punch Ali 6 inches away in the ring while fighting him? Just like Teller was really paying attention at close distance.
@@zabnat No, I just meant if you were for some reason offered the chance to fight Ali, and managed to knock him out with a quick punch, first try. Haha that would be incredible and pretty much impossible.
Throwing one single punch and knocking out the best boxer in the world, is about as likely as fooling Teller with sleight of hand from extremely close up where he can see every move and potential mistake.
Teller is honestly just _that_ good.
i think the best one is the blind man.

I absolutely loved this routine and this whole idea! Well done Axel!
One of my very favorite magicians of all time! Axel is great. This was so clever.
So clean and simple. Brilliant.
I really loved your performance! And I think your answer about astonishment is great. Both are great and they aren't mutually exclusive reactions but astonishment is harder and captures the point of magic better than laughter. I'd love to catch one of your shows some day.
The sleight of hand and misdirection is very well done. I'm only going to say that I think anyway that the license moves around a lot less than someone might guess. But even knowing Penn's hints, the method of having the final reveal open the way it does is pretty baffling. Your hands don't go anywhere near the fold in the paper and the paper from the camera shot behind it looks really normal. So that is the real trick, the last 2-3 seconds. My guess is it was Teller who busted you. You had him 6 inches away from you watching your hands like an eagle. Takes a lot of guts to try and fool Teller that close...
Very cool “nest of envelopes” or “multiple wallets” reveal. Always love these and how they are done. Takes quite a bit of skill to that people underrated over the years due to over exposure from different varieties of a similar gag. Still extremely impressive and your driver’s license twist can have numerous comedic scripts written that would leave any audience in stitches simply because it is so relatable and the DMV/OMV is an easy target for banter. Love it. Keep it up. Perfect for TV, anytime, anywhere.
Im still confused by the spoon turning into a fork
@@VictorTheHonoredOne603 God, you really do not need to spread you negativity into this world that stems from how much of a failure you are. Now scram.
it was really a spork.
max roovers watch it closely on slower speed, slight of hand switch
He just switched it out during the camera cut. That one was editing magic, nothing more.
Seems to me the head of the spoon is detachable, which he removes when turning it over, and then deposits in his pocket when grabbing the knife. The spoon was never really a spoon to begin with.
If it came from Elsweyr, it likely was sent by a Khajiit.
Thats exactly what I was thinkin of!
; )

That's awesome lol

Hello Axel, What a great effect! I loved your story and the comedy and as to POSSIBLE method - well, it was flawless to me and would be to the vast majority of Magicians and layfolks alike. Please, keep doing what you do best - love your stuff! Paul
I love how they can explain the trick in only away that they and the magician can understand. While the rest of us mortals stare with fascination of the trick
I'm not sure I would want to know how these amazing things are done. Might be kind of disappointing.
@@shack8110 most of the time I agree with you on that
@@shack8110 Why would it be disappointing? You do know it is a trick, knowing how its done can even make it more impressive since you get to know all the work behind it.
If you're a fan of magic or atleast the show Fool Us, you can sometimes know how Penn gives away key points. Sometimes saying the word skywalker or anything about star wars because the magician did a "force". Sometimes his compliments aren't actually compliments but instead more of a sarcasm. In another episode, a magician did an easy trick and he says something along the lines of "I really like how these props can easily be bought in a magic store(meaning its a common trick)" or "Magicians put effort, practice, alot of practice to perform their act but you, you did it so effortless(audience applause thinking it's a compliment but was literally effortless.)
first set of cards placed in front pocket has DL, when application is pulled out it has the driver license retrieved with it, it is then planted when he grabs the purple envelope from teller. thats what pen means by the application is important for getting back the DL.
Fooling Pen and Teller isn't the only objective of going on this show. This routine/effect was totally cool and a fantastic piece of work that deserved to be seen by the millions of views this episode will get on TV and online! Awesome work, Mr. Hecklau. Cheers from NY.
You fooled me!! Always great stuff Axel!
Wow man I’m legit speechless!
That was amazing
"We deliver before you place the order" 😂😂😂
Herzlichen Glückwunsch, nicht nur mir hat es gefallen sondern auch das Publikum war begeistert.
I loved the props, so clean and beautiful
obviously he comitted identity theft, applied for a driver's license pretending to be Teller, and took the letter with him for the performance
Great Job Axel! Greetings all the way from the Philippines!
Great Job Axel, amazing work!
Ein schöner Trick, und eine tolle Show! 😉👍🏻
Props for the unique performance mate.

Eine sehr täuschende Nummer! Ganz toll!
Great work. You're amazingly smooth.
So clean amazing 🔥🔥🔥
It’s been almost 4 years but this trick never fail to amaze me , great job 👏
Thanks a lot 😊
that was a pretty slick move when he grabbed the "here" card...
Eine starke Nummer, sehr schön gemacht. Klasse mal wieder etwas von dir zu sehen. Grüße Olli
Superb! Incredibly clean and fair... a miracle!
Teller has such a baby face even though he’s older. He looks like a cute teddy bear hahaha
I love Teller! He is so sweet and cute looking! (Wish he was my daddy)
@@everhirstseyt2667 you made it a sexual thing so fast
I've been watching many of y'all that have fooled Penn & Teller, and I love everything I seen so far.
Incredible! Loved the act
Really wonderful!
ein sehr schöner Trick... toll gemacht :)
Great trick and presentation!
You astonished me. Nice work.
Truly amazing!
😀👍
Really nice. I agree with all that Penn said, it is direct, smooth, clear and, in my opinion, totally baffling. Another great creation - congratulations.
Great act, Axel!
Ganz herzlichen Dank!!!
Super super clean. Still cannt fathom what's gone on here. Crazy.
Happy you like it!
Awesome 👏
Amazing 👏 magic!
Merci :-)
Mr. Hecklau, thank you for posting this video and for responding to many of the comments here. I still don't know how you did this trick, but after reading your comments, at least I know a few ways that you didn't do it.
Mission accomplished. Your mustache amazed me! Haha
AND the trick! Well done!! 👏👏
Judging by Tellers reaction, smoke should always come out when he closes his hands! 🤣🤣🤣
Really nice, clean presentation. The two slights that you had to do to make this work we're undetectable, and I like the multiple envelope wrinkle, as well as keeping a lot of stuff in Teller's hands :)
Yeah, they were undetectable because of camera cuts
Monsieur Buster no they were all on camera
Truly amazing ! WELL DONE !
I am typing in this praise in astonished silence. So smooth!
That was amazing, you might not have fooled them but you sure fooled me! What a great trick, thanks for posting!
Thx 😊
A very clever and original act full of detail and interesting props. I love the DHL parody and it's not true that Germans don't have a sense of humour. One thing I love with Fool Us is how P&T respect the performers - they know most of the tricks but they know all well that those who do this show are all excellent and they sometimes do special tricks so they are v. polite with them.
Thanks for your feedback.
Sehr cool.Respekt .Alles Gute.Grossartige Show
This trick is so neat! The routine is elegant, it's entertaining and makes sense all the way through, I like it very much and I have no clue on how it's done ( except the disappearing of the driver's license ;)
Wonderful performance, Smooth, I didn’t see ANYTHING!
Considering you're talking about how you invented this routine, can I assume that you were one of the performers who was filmed for the "Inventors" special, but your performance was slotted into another episode?
WOW WUNDERSCHÖN! Unfassbar toll gemacht!
I got it after Penn spoke about importance of the "Application"
Man really impressive trick
3:58 Keep your eyes on the left hand. The envelope was never inside the mail to start with. It was inside his jacket, and right at this moment he placed the mail behind the envelope. The orange envelope was a gimmick where he had a pocket to slide the purple envelope out of it to make it look like it was inside.
How the card went inside the purple envelope is where the main part is what penn is referring to. He did not directly remove the application from his jacket. He first placed the DL inside his jacket where purple envelope was(little below) and then he removes the application which was a bit topside.
6:23 is she sleeping? LOL
absolut toll!

Hats off Axel. Lots of love from India.
Thank you
Never get tired watching these magic acts one per day
Impressive and original.I liked it !
I thought it was sleight of hand, until all the sealed envelopes were opened up and it was in the letter and glued. Absolutely wonderful, clean and well done.
Only i think he pulled it from the pocket and slided into the envelope. What gave it away is that he asked Teller to open the letter then suddenly he take it and open the paper himself. 4:58 look how his hand is folded after beeing in the pocket, and then the sliding fingers when opening. Maybe im wrong, just a guess :)
He definitely took a little while to open the letter but his fingers were a lot lower than where the license was when he revealed it unless his thumb did the work... or the top hard...
The idea is so great. If you have a second chance to perform the same act, you must have fooled them. Can't go back in time.
Thanks a lot!
I suspect one of his 4 cards that he sandwiched Teller's license between is a shell card, cuz when he reveals Teller's license had vanished, he doesn't show us the backs of the first two cards, which he puts first into he jacket pocket. He accesses the license from inside his jacket when he brings out the license "application".
He took long to produce his application from his jacked...
Im guessing barbershop card looked thicker.
he took out the license here 4:58
Amazing!
Amazing.
I read the comments and I have two points: watch it at 0.25 and notice the following: 1- he slips the DV at 3:58, you can see that, and then 2- at 4:38, he hits the envelop with his hand to fix the position of the DV in its place, but it is amazing how he can have all these holes or slips in the envelops without showing is a great of art!!!
It’s a great act.
Wow!!! Another awesome creation. Love this trick so much.
Great job my friend!
Der Auftritt war grandios!
Daaaaanke
I'm still not entirely sure how he loads the envelope without getting caught by Teller, but you can definitely see him prepare and load the final note when he reaches for the "Application". One really impressive thing to me, is that if you were performing for a "normal" person and audience, he totally could have distracted and loaded the license from his hand around the 5 minute mark. He definitely did not use that method in this case (you can confirm by stepping frames), and this would definitely have been caught by Teller. I appreciate when magicians go the extra mile as part of a routine for Fool Us.
My guess for the final envelope load is as follows:
1) He retrieves the license from a slit in the back pocket.
2) There is a small slit in the edge of the purple envelope, and the paper inside sticks out a tiny bit to form a funnel. The license is dropped down this tunnel, and falls to the other end where the sticky tape catches it. The paper is then shoved the rest of the way into the envelope, and sticky glue at the edge, of the purple envelope seals the envelope (still ballsy with Teller getting to at least quickly handle the envelope (you will notice that he ditches the envelope pretty quickly). He then later squeezes down on the envelop to set the license firmly on the tape.
3) I believe the reason opens the final paper and looks like he could be palming the card is just an attempt to misdirect Penn and Teller.
Thank you for taking so much time to write down your thoughts here
@@AxelHecklau Thank you. It was a fantastic trick, and a wonderful execution.

Nice magic I like your magic trick the best
It's a great trick, great performance.
Magic Identity Theft! There’s a new game in town. The boys were absolutely in his ‘left pocket’….
Klasse Trick, den ich auch schon live im Close Up Club bewundern durfte!
There is seems to be some string attached to the back of the letter and he seems to do something with his right hand just before he unfolds the letter. Not sure what it could be though. Some mechanism to pull the license out of his sleeve perhaps? I enjoyed this performance, simple and intriguing.
What the real spectacle is his mustache, taken from Colonel Sanders, KFC.
