On the 31st December 2015 Mötley Crüe took to the stage of the Staples Center in their home city of Los Angeles for their last ever live performance.
It was the culmination of a farwell tour which had started in July 2014 and travelled around the world taking in North and South America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, Europe and the Middle East. The band had signed a legally binding cessation of touring contract that prevented them touring as Mötley Crüe beyond the end of 2015 and so this concert truly was The End. Being Mötley Crüe, they did, of course, go out in style with a spectacular light show and stage set, pyrotechnics, Tommy Lee s incredible rollercoaster drum solo and a set list packed with Mötley Crüe classics. They may be gone but they'll never be forgotten.

Mick Mars' riffs in my honest opinion absolutely carried tracks like Girls, Girls, Girls and Shout At The Devil; without his riffs, a lot of the songs just wouldn't hold up.

I grew up with Mötley Crüe. They were one of, and still are in my top 10. But this was pretty fucking back on Vince’s part. Even Mick with all his medical issues nailed it. Vince seemed like he half assed it and sang 1/2 the words.

@@BluTheHonky What does using a backing track behind his solos have to do with his medical issues? He is playing the solos himself (at least it looks like he is) so why not just play them by themselves? The backing track isn't helping him, it's just another artificial part of the show.
@@tommyvercetti5802 kinda hard to play a rhythm part and a solo at the same time when you only have one guitarists 🤨 you want mick to just grow an extra set of arms? no modern touring musician is going to completely play a whole show authentically, there will be points where a backing track may be used, nothing wrong with that, especially when there are physical limitations to what the actual band can play and there are layers to the music

Half (if not way more) of their attraction / success is based on image and show, so the yardstick shouldn't be the average Joe. Look how certain actors change from skinny to fat and back for different roles. It's also about dedication.
I'm not saying you _have_ to look a certain way as an ageing rockstar; it's just that by not doing so, they lose a certain appeal to some for reasons that seem legit to me.
@@YTOnceAgain Agree 100%.....about my previous comment, I meant that unlike the average Joe, these 4 do have savings to afford better healthcare than most of the people in the world...I have noticed a lot of comments directed to Vince Neil, sort of as a plea for him to get help for his weight (whether its a liver disease or obesity Im not certain)...I too used to feel bad but then realized he has the cash to get better but still sings like a tranquilized horse...I mean even after Motley Crue ended he could have taken time off to get better like how Axl did.... but instead Vince still continued touring solo. At some point, the realization should sink into Vince that he is tarnishing his image.
