    If you have attended a live music concert, you might have noticed this during performance of an instrumentalist as they play solo for long in the beginning. The amount of time tabla players spend in tuning their instrument during live concert (specially outdoors) is way higher to maintain the ambience of music. If this can be tuned almost instantly, I think that’s great innovation.

We hope that it will raise more awareness and curiosity in tabla playing and also attract more people to the traditional use by the maestros that you mentioned. Regards

    I would love to play one of those so much! As it's an electric signal being connected straight, through cables, it feels PERFECT to manipulate through pedals and effects... Muslimgauze does fiddle with the timbre of percussion loops in that kinda way, but having the signal completely digital would be really something else for experimental music

    The bass of the original big tabla drum is much more impressive and rich in tone than the electronic one. I hope you will manage to get the electric one to sound just as good because that electronic tabla is a really good invention! I always wanted to learn tabla - but practicing at home in an aparment is almost impossible without disturbing all the neighbours. With an electronic tabla like that I could practice at home with headphones. That would be awesome.

    Still got some tweaks to do but truly impressive.
    The tone is good and the best part we don't have to switch the hi tabla to suit the key of the songs. The tidikide (roll) sounds pretty obvious that it's an electronic tabla, try to implement the samples as close as swarplug as it has all the variations for rolls, with touch velocity to change the samples while playing it will definitely be a game changer, I'm sure the developers has thought about it. Really hope to get the updates soon on the development.
    I can see in future tabalese will have less hi tablas or maybe just this set to carry around for shows, this will ease them a lot.

    • @kedamusicltd4365
      @kedamusicltd4365  Před 3 lety +2

      The unit has overall tilt and also height adjustment when stand-mounted. We feel that the player can adjust these two variables to find a comfortable playing position. (Acoustic tabla does not have height adjustment of course, and therefore the drums are tilted to suit the player's shoulder height and length of arms). There is also a sensitivity setting which allows less force to be applied, therefore negating the need for individual tilt. Regards

      @@squ34ky presets etc won't be too difficult in the future. Like a keyboard. Something which is electronic amplified usually also means less technique is required to get the same amount of volume/sound. This is already proven by dholak, manjeera etc on octopads.

But sound vibrations of original equipments like tabla, dholak, mridang are said to have impacts on chakras on body like in SanKeertan, Classical Music, Gurudwara's Shabd & Vanis which cant be achieved through electronic instrumemts.
