awesome stuff... been trying to get my ebike channel running but sadly COVID and a few health issues slowed it down the last couple years but channels like you are keeping the fire burning in me...
very interesting, keep them coming
Man you get sent some buzzing stuff great video hope you're proud of yourself because you have made a great channel nice one man 👍
Thank you so much 🙏
Wonder what having 3 motors would be like, 2 hubs and 1 mid drive.
Heavy AF most likely 🤣
@thecouchtripper let's make it into a hybrid and add a couple of engines too
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
With a paramotor fan on your back C:
Death lol
Fuck that put a spinnaker on it, chump😅
This is the one I have been waiting for. Been looking a this bike for a while
thank you, very informative, just subbed
I love my Philodo AWD. I had it for months before I realized AWD only works with the throttle, cruise, and walk function. It does not engage in pas alone. But it is not really needed then, as I can get almost 35 mph with just the one motor and the battery lasts longer. I am racking up the miles, this old man loves his ebike that makes me feel 16 again😀 I also know that if my rear motor burns out on the trail, I should be able to get home on the front. I love this bike.
I got this MG740 Plus and its bloody fantastic - Great content Andy! By the way the Tyres are awesome, so plush and solid, im topping 700 miles and still no punctures as they only run at 20 PSI. The are not a gimmick. This bike is TOP for the dough, its also in eBay for about £1400. Whats more, Cops leave you alone
Nice video and assessment. Thanks.
Great vidoes and on the strength of your knowledge and this video I am buying a MG740 this week :)
Appreciate that 💯 using the links in the video airways helps support the channel too 👍
I bought this bike because of your video!! I'm loving it!! Thanks for the head to head comparison!
You're welcome 😊
how is the battery?
Excellent Review Thank You
It’s gonna be way more torquer, but the top speed will be roughly the same (it’ll just take longer to get to the top speed)..and battery drain is quicker.
I’ve just had the 740plus delivered and i can say it’s the dogs bollocks. I’m a 19 stone man in my 50s and most ebikes unless they are fitted with duel motors won’t be getting you up most hills. But having duel motors is a game changer. Love this bike and the price is good for what you are getting. £1600 delivered to your door. Best ebike I’ve owned, 100% satisfaction.
where did you buy yours from Derek?
get a motorbike, a 19st man looks silly on a tiny little kids bike
@carlwelstead5622 the link is in bio its page 2

Great review. Im 6ft 2 and 110 kilos. You have just helped me with my decision. 🙏
Youve come a long way from when i fismrst seen you building that fast electric litbike woth andy kirby. I was building one at the same time.
That is impressive. Some duel have to much going on that a clean bike
Haha, love the fun factor! Great content and good old down to earth reviews. So that’s the 2x 1000 watt motor fat bike covered……..what if a Kobebike 2000w motor was on the rear 🥳
Thanks!
That's the set up I want for my Ariel Rider Kepler 👍😎
Thanks for your great reviews. I was new to the ebike thing and you helped a lot with all your videos. I liked this review so much I bought this exact bike and then threw another 800 Euro in upgrades onto it.. Deore gears, 10 speed 11-36 screw on hub, a 53 tooth front ring, 203mm brakes, downhill forks, juggernaut pro tyres a few carbon bits... got about 3 to 4kg off the weight. loving it!! Its a beast of a thing.. now I just need to save up for a second battery, perhaps a 52V (if it will work with this bike? Do you know? any ideas?) Thanks again for taking the time to explain everything so well. You are an inspiration!! Keep up the good work.
Thing sounds insane holy shi
52v doesnt work here my guy. the controller n battery is rated at 48. u will probably have thermal issues. but at 48v its still great. the torque is enouph, 52v would give u 3-4 extra mph, i dont thing it really needs them ;)
@@hatakekakashi513 THanks for the info! I have not changed anything since...still lovin it!! Great bike. Thanks for the reply. appreciated.
Very sharp bike👍🏽⚡️👍🏽⚡️
I remember going to a bike show in Lemington spa in the noughties, 2004 or something i think. There was a cristini 2wd pedal bike with a fairly complicated system to transfer power to the front with a prop shaft that ran uo the top tube and eventually to the front wheel. Even if i had the spare 3 grand i think it was priced at i wouldn't have gone for it but i must say i feel slightly left out by the range i could do on an ev but i still love my 2013 canyon nerve xc. Serving me well.
Just subbed 😂
Hi iv been watching your channel little while now and it's great
Your to the point and no messing that's better than people who waffle on 😂
Any the video on two motors front and rear wheel great to be honest I had thoroughly of the two motor e bike but a carnt afford one
Any way what about a 3rd motor ebike with motor where the peddles go through ...not sure what it's called
Any keep up the fantastic videos ....
Interesting!!
Fantastic chanel Some great builds I am going to upgrade my 1000 watt single motor rear wheel for a double motor set up it will add so much more torque at a relatively cheap price.
How
triple motor next. Front, mid, and rear baby!!
I have a BBSHD mid drive with a 1000 watt front hub. 2x 17.5 amp 52 volt batteries It’s a huge improvement.
I've always been curious as to whether or not it would be worth it to add a front hub motor to a BBSHD bike. What kind of bike is it and what type of riding do you do? Do you have front suspension too? Would be cool to use the front motor when the back tire is losing traction but just wondering if the weight penalty would be worth it for strictly offroad singletrack use.
Ur a hero my bro
Good lads
Steve did enjoy the mortal Kombat ish inserts
Single motor test is still hauling the weight of both motors though. It would perform a lot better as single motor without the weight of the unused motor.
Bedwetters are knocking one out at the title
great test.
If you build one can you test pulling a trailer up a hill?
This is raely seen but would be required for people to haul shopping or children
I think if you compared that with 2 x 1000 watt vs a bike with a single 2000 watt it would be a fairer test and I think the single motor would actually win due to less weight. What would be interesting through would to see it's offroad credentials.
I don't think it's that simple just weight isn't the only factor. I think spreading the initial load might even make this bike a bit quicker if the line than a 2000w it felt quicker
@@DudeStuff It would be interesting to see, the dual motor certainly seems to be the choice for EV manufacturers.
The top speed of 2 1000wat motors is the same as 1 1000 watt motor but with two motors the torque multiplies so it reaches the top speed faster so a single 2000 watt motor is faster.
@@MrCsebike..the 2000w should be better in every way
@@mr.monitor. If you stay with 48 volts the 1000 watt x 2 will have more torque and the seed gain for the 2000 watt will be less than 10 mph.
what are the front fork dropouts made out of , i dont see any torque relief as i can tell, if the dropout is steel then that makes sense
Where were you doing the testing? Looks like an amazing place.
I run one of those motors at 2200w, its fine 90% of the time, but long really steep hills will cook the phase wires.
Twin motors should solve that, but ultimately midrive for the stupid steep stuff
Sounds like they need to use larger phase wires
I’m thinking of buying cyrusher ranger, but do u think if u removed wheels from this bike & place on the ranger it would would work ? Could the ranger be dual motor & what would performance look like ?
But are ya better off having a 2000w motor or a dual 1000w
How do you fit these duel motors?do they run off the same battery? have you made one? thanks
Great review which i had tge funds for a bike like that
Im not sure what e bike to Get
i want to commute 16-20 miles a day
8-10 miles each way.
But on a budget
What would you recommend??
Im 95kg
6,3
Not sure that matters
nice, but how are the two Controller connected to ONE Display?can you made a video about this, please? thx
I bought one last night. Can't wait to get it. Cheers for the review.
Im thinking doing the same just a bit worried on mileage out of a 20amh battery with dual motors mate 🤔
@@jimmyallen9927 I'll let you know!!
@@jimmyallen9927 it's not gonna go that far if you are hammering the throttle constantly with both motors on and doing top speed.
@Jude Price thats true i usually ride all my ebikes by pedaling very rarely use throttle myself mate
My 1000 watt mid bafang i built on a specialized frame eats my 17.5 amh battery if on highest setting or throttle lucky if get 15 miles out of it when do lol
Real lad proper
Hello. Looking a bit of advice, what do you think between the lankeleisi mg740 plus and the keteles k800 2000w duel motor thanks
now imagine paradox kinetics mid drive motor driving the rear wheels and a 1000w hub motor driving the front wheels
are you upgrading the quad mate?? Excited too see what you do too that if you do
been planning on building a dual 1500 watt bike for lugging fishing kit up steep inclines .after owning a kugoo g booster and realising the potential but it will have 2 batterys like the kugoo but 52 v
That’s what I built & its powered by 2 52V 20 amp batteries. I have bad knees and it’s hard for me to pedal but now no matter how steep the hill I can power up it and the range is phenomenal!
@Treasure Traveler nice big fat tyres for the sand too 2wd has to be better for carrying heavy loads
I have a ~5kW dual motor bike I built myself. it's an absolute hoot to ride. Climbs stairs like they're not even there, hills are but a minor inconvenience, and with phase weakening enabled it is absolutely stupid downhill!! I've had it past 60 once with a slight tailwind. It gets to about 57 without*... And It's probably the single sketchiest things I've done so far bar none!!
The only thing it really doesn't do all that well with is snow and ice. FWD does a far better job at keeping you upright, RWD is fun for keeping the tail sideways, and AWD is absolutely marvellous for keeping the entire thing sideways... at a 90* angle.
* Should note that that speed was not performed on-road. It was performed on disused road space where no traffic comes through because fuck trying that shit on a main road near me!!
What type of motors are you using?
@@jamescorrigan2777 a pair of those voilamart 1500w DD hub motors
They can take a fair amount more power than they're rated for as long as you're not running silly amounts of current, so far I'm doing 2.5kW per wheel and they don't even really build up any noticeable heat when being run... even after a steep.hill they remain only slightly warm to the touch!!
Do you know when, or even if, this model is going to be available for purchase, because I can’t find it anywhere on their site only the RV700 model, with the single 1000W motor from your previous video.
Nice bike.
Good lad
Hello nice videos, looking some advice, im new to electric bikes, thinking about getting one, i was looking at the lankeleisi 740 plus 2000w duel motor and the gogobest gf 700 1000 w duel motor, i would be about 150 kilos, i would prefer mud guards and a back rack and lights , not sure if i need the bigger bike , the gogobest seems to be powerful enough from what i can see. Thanks
I just order my but only thing what i am thinking was in the manual "do not use in rain"
Hi pal im after an ebike to comute to wrk an back prob roughly 8 mile per day i need 1 with a back bracket so i can put stuff im my carry pack N nip out of wrk if i need msterials etc what would you revomnend ti be onest iv been looking at the himmiway zebra but i do like this 1
Shengmilo s600 dual 1000w motor unlocked top speed 55mph in UK .
Dudestuff rules. Good man
Just use a front and rear hub motor and a mid drive. While you are at it you could add a friction drive on the front and rear and add one of those old school brushed motors with a chain on the left. Will be faster then Usain Bolt at the quarter mile.
Are the controllers build in to the motors?
How would it compare to a BBSHD bike with at least a 1:1 gear ratio, up very steep hills?
Best lad ever
Now add mid drive!
Can anyone help me please. After watching this great review, i went ahead and purchased this beauty of a bike. I literally got it a few hours ago today and just went to put it on to charge, but the charger/power unit, which connects to the battery, is showing a constant green light which sould indicate thst the battery is fully charged, which i can assure you that it isnt after the fun ive been having on it today. Apparently, the light should be red and then turn green after being fully charged. Has anyone got any suggestions or any advice for someone which is new to this game. Thank you all.
dont forget the front motor when not in use gives some resistance
Hardly, most resistence it gives is the increased rolling resistance due to the added weight.
Is there a way to have two throttles ie a throttle for each motor?
Need a 2024 version! Check out the Excalibur Hunter from Neutronic Ebike.
Now imagine having a big quadcycle with four 5000w motors as generators and a good dedal drive motor that pulls all 4 weels at the same time, maybe a small battery pack to keep everything powered at all times and to help a little on take offs
Yeah already thought about doing thos quadricycles are expensive and hard to get hold.of here
Good men
I hear front hubs can cause a loss of traction control and a rear hub + mid drive setup works better.
I think if the battery was mounted to the front somehow or maybe paniers, any kind of weight would push the front tyre down to give it more grip
Good boys
U did mention about height, I'm 6.4 with long legs lol
Would u recommend this bike or find something else?
So iam undecided between this mg740 and the rv700. I seen your reviews on both, great reviews. Which bike do you think is better between the 2? Iam a bigger guy, 6ft and 250lb.
Hi I'm about the same stature as you the dual motor is a tempting prospect but ive a feeling the rv 700 battery would last a fare bit longer. I just ordered rv 700. I'll report back bro.😎👌
The mg 740 is a beast had mine abount 6 weeks pulls like a train done abount 500 miles so far on it i was thinking it would go faster than the 30mph though i get out of it but a fun ride with loads of torque
Mid drive motor on cycle bike and a hub that should be amazing
still saving money few months after i saw ur review. i m between mg740 and x3000 max. cant figure what to choose
Did you end up keeping this one? Ive just ordered one
Dude this guy went full simple Jack
Extra Motors add torque, once they're at Max rpm then that's it, you'll need a gearbox or higher voltage/rpm motors to go faster.
Unless the bike is lifted off the floor or going down hill the bike is always under load. On a flat road I find 2 motors get higher speed closer to an unloaded motor.
Good bike
3000w 72v rear motor kit or this dual set up?
loving all the recent content mate. if i have a £1500 budget for a gravel ebike/pedelec what do you think is the best route to go down for value and reliability.
If you can collect in Essex I can do you one for 650
I wish I had the money I love the bike love competitions
Hello. I’ve studied your videos fir some time. May I ask your opinion please. One of my e-bikes 36v. This battery will only charge to 40.2. Full. Is that in your view a problem??
Thanks in advance
Terry
As far as I know it's always just 4-6 volts over the rated voltage?
I have a 52v kit that charges till 58-ish.
How’s the acceleration on flat pavement?
What was the top speed you got up too
Does that use a single controller ? I'm not sure but these might be 750 watt motors with peak wattage at 1,000 or so. You need to find out nominal and peak wattage.. Then what the size is of the controllers. I have a true 1,000 watt motor with 1,800 watts of peak. The controller on my bike is 33 amp . many 1,000 watt motors have 35 amp controllers. 22-28 amp would be a 750 watt nominal and peak of about 1,000. Also a 1,000 watt nominal motor will have a minimum of 90 Nm of torque. Not 70-80 Nm
Beauty
So is it 1000w w/ 2 500w motors or 2000w w/ 2 1000w motors¿?
A 60v battery fit on it you think?
In restricted mode and with the throtle disabled is this leagal.
I'll stick with an Andy Kirby big rear motor kit thanks!!
I'll stick with a BBS02 running 1300 watts peak that will climb any hill like a goat.
♥️ ♥️ ♥️
why the 1000w motors so small
I like the BS they say in the splurge on their website…..battery completely hidden!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️ can’t understand why they didn’t put 21700 batts in instead of 18650’s? Woulda seemed better especially hauling 2 1000 watt motors 🤷♂️ Front dropouts don’t seem adequate especially the amount of grunt the bike is gonna produce?? Thanks for sharing this on the channel Steve 👍 police compound will be full of these!🤣🤣🤣🤣💪
i mean dual motors are better but its not a fair test using the same bike, the 1000w is shared between the two motors as opposed to one and in 1 wheel mode is has the extra weight and friction of the dead wheel
Don't listen to what the cows said, they thought the bike was a load of old bullocks.
Cool guy
2x1000w motors must drain that battery just in throttle
all it needs now is a mid-drive for three motors to go insane.
