  • 📢 Breaking News in BC Real Estate! 📢
🏡 Starting July 18, the Two Month Notice for tenants is changing to a Four Month Notice 🗓️
    🚨 New Regulations Alert 🚨:
    - Mandatory Use of a New Web Portal to register and track all eviction notices 📋💻
    - If someone is moving INTO a tenanted property, they MUST live there for at least 12 months 🏠
    🔑 For Tenants:
    - More time to find a home when served notice ⏳
    - Double compensation for bad faith evictions 💰💰
    ⚖️ For Landlords:
    - Drastically alters their ability to sell a home, obtain a mortgage, or even maintain an appraisal value from the accepted offer date to the closing date 📉🏦
🤔 What Do You Think? 🤔:
    - Pros: Helps tenants have more time to find a home, provides an online portal for dispute resolution and evictions 🏠💬
    - Cons: Could dramatically lower property values, affect saleability, and prevent sellers from porting their mortgage ❌💸
