This Video Is For Educational Purposes. It is meant to show the psychology behind how police interact with suspects to try and get their confession.
In this jcs inspired video, we take a look at the interrogation of Kimberly Kessler. After spending 25 years manipulating people and hiding from the FBI, Kimberly is finally caught and she wants to tell her story. The problem is everything that she says is a lie.

Finally! I truly intended to comment as soon as I finished but, as is typical with me, I got distracted. It’s truly bonkers. There’s some out there that are pathological liars , my father was one. He was certainly capable of empathy but the lies just flowed off his tongue it was hard to relate. I think we all live in a delusion, that’s not to say it’s a negative. Sadly, I think someone like her can never be reconciled with reality, the delusion is so deep she literally believes her output. Fake owning up to things and admittance of lesser ‘immoralities’ will follow her to her grave. Love the channel despite my bullshit excuse. Thank you. @J Smith nailed it. What struck me was how she allowed no lulls or pauses in the conversation. She dominated the air with her own inconsequential banter. I don't believe there were more than 30 seconds of silence throughout the interrogation. If she was asked a question she set about not answering at great length. There was a visible shift when reality came crashing down, and it became apparent that 'friendly' would no longer prove effective or appropriate.
Her pre-trial insanity performance was an act of palpable desperation and provided a rare look at an authentic Kimberly Lee.
Its failure must have been an utter humiliation to such a consumate manipulator.
Her refusal to admit guilt and provide a location of the body, knowing the victim had family, was absolutely sociopathic

It’s funny that she was angry with CPS taking her son but then she had no problem abandoning him for the next 18 1/2 years. She thinks she’s so special and unique but all she is is a terrible mother who committed multiple felonies in different states and is now a murderer. One day she’ll realize that she’s not special at all and in fact is really just a POS.

I agree with all of that, except her realizing one day that she isn't special and actually sucks. A psychopath will never admit that to themselves, and will only "admit" that to other people as yet another manipulation, if anything. A great example of this is the final interview with Ted Bundy. They are completely deluded and don't follow proper morals. They are proud of who they are and the shitty things they do.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on her thinking too much about anything that could make her come to realize how bad of a person she is. She seems to avoid anything that doesn't make her feel like she's anything other than interesting and quirky.
The really sad part of this story is nobody was ever looking for her. She desperately wishes someone was chasing her, but she was just running from herself for 25 years. Only when she killed this poor girl did anyone give a rat's shit about her at all, which is how you end up like this

I’m a huge risk taker but in this instance I believe I’ve hit a home run. She’s just perfect in every way possible I enjoy a woman that speaks her mind nonstop without any interruptions from the other side. Her figure is amazing too looks thic like a bowl of cereal. What else am I missing? She has a sexy voice that can melt any men’s heart. Overall, she’s an A- and when given a chance will surprise most people who probably don’t believe in her after murdering a barber chick. There may be truth to the cps story. I believe Kimberly had a psychotic break when cps took her son. Her mental health may have been poor at that time. It may have been the reason they came and took her son. All of the delusions of grandeur are a coping mechanism due to her being a neglectful parent. She may have a split personality too. I am sure she would make a great case study.😊

I went to school with Kim and sat next to her in Chemistry class. She was a cheerleader, easy to get along with...not the snobby type. I always had the feeling she had problems at home and she was actually rather quiet in highschool. Where she ended up hasn't exactly surprised me. I remember her dropping out also.

If you notice, she doesn't let them speak. She continually talks over them because she cares for nothing and nobody other than herself. She wants the entire conversation to be about her, and how dare anybody speak about themselves in her presence when it should be only about her. She speaks fast too, so she can make sure people have to listen carefully to what she is saying about how important she is. It's actually quite fascinating.When the police officer talks about himself, she immediately speaks over him and talks about herself. She is a true psychopath. They are so rare, it's interesting to see one.

Not sure if anyone caught this or not but she wanted by the FBI, and has been on the run for 25 years. It’s scary as hell to think people like her exist. I can’t wrap my mind around the way she sat there casually talking to the detectives inside an interrogation room, wearing a jailhouse jumpsuit while being shackled at the ankles acting as though she hadn’t a care in the world was frightening considering she murdered someone and most likely chopped her up to dispose of her like garbage. Throughout the interview she spoke harshly of her mother, yet complained because she hadn’t been able to call her mom at the end.
And she’s Kim Kessler and she’s wanted in Arizona for fraud… for 25 years! Look it up! 😂😂

I had a psychologist friend tell me, if you meet someone and within 5 min they make you feel like your nerves are coming undone then you are most likely dealing with someone that has a personality disorder.
it tracks. or, if you suddenly realize you feel stressed or on edge, or having a reaction but don't know why. you may not consciously know right away but your emotions and even physical body can react. like upset stomach, headache, etc.
i've had this very thing happen to me. the brain sometimes is on a delay, and what you are reacting to is the subconscious recognition of games, lies, manipulations, toxic sh*t. it's uncanny. and ACCURATE. so, don't ignore it ya'll.

Psychopaths are usually "likable" and "friendly" while sociopaths are usually the quiet and unapproachable and antisocial ones.

People who meet the criteria for “antisocial personality disorder” are often referred to as sociopaths and people who meet a lot of characteristics on the psychopath checklist are often called psychopaths, but there is a lot of overlap between the two. Most people who check off a lot of boxes on the psychopath checklist will also meet the criteria for antisocial personality disorder.
“Psychopaths” can be quiet and unapproachable or they can have superficial charm. Superficial charm is only one potential characteristic of someone with psychopathic tendencies. There are people who have many psychopathic characteristics but don’t have superficial charm as well. It varies.

The fact that she thinks she's being cute and at her most likable, yet is still coming off as a cunning evil, manipulative psychopath makes me realise how nasty she would have been to the poor innocent victim since she hated her so much.

The scary thing is she’s not actually nuts. She is just an incredibly self-absorbed cold blooded killer with utterly no remorse. Being a psychopath means you have a personality disorder, it does not mean you have a mental illness. Which makes it even scarier in some ways because you can’t justify it by saying they’re nuts. There are many people you will meet with actual mental health issues who are the warmest, loveliest people who would never hurt anyone.

I dated a guy like this back when I was super codependent. I could never get a word in, all his over the top stories never quite made any sense, he loved talking to people and would tell them things without them asking, and got extremely angry and verbally abusive whenever I questioned anything and gaslit the hell out of me. I’m glad I got help and am now super cautious and able to recognize these red flags 🚩😳

The fact that she uses cps taking her son as a victim card then states that she hasn't seen him since he was 14 months old and he's 20 NOW. As a mother, I can't even 🤦🏼♀️
I came to the comments to see if anyone had commented on that. I have 3 grown sons with whom I am still very close & cannot imagine not being in contact or seeing them regularly... The fact that CPS made sure they got hold of that poor child was a good day's work, they saved him from being raised by this monster. 🤯😵💫

There was no son. The FBI was not looking for her. Her entire story was a lie she told anyone that would listen so she could feel important.
The scary thing is these people exist and are out there and any one of us could get tangled up with them through no fault of our own. I met a woman just like this whose kid went to the same school as my kid. My daughter and her daughter were best friends and it became obvious to us that when this woman had custody of her daughter for weekends she was abusing her. Like, proper abuse not just psychological. One time the girl sent my daughter a picture of her bed at her mum's house. Her mum had shit on her bed. She had to sleep on the floor.
Anyway, long story short we gave evidence and the woman lost custody of her daughter. She has since lost custody of her other two children.
She held us responsible and engaged in a campaign of abuse which terrorised us for years. One time my wife and daughter had to hide in a bank while she tried to break in to get to them.
She was never held accountable other than losing custody rights. She used a 'womans rights' group to help her claim she was the victim of police harassment and the courts.
She has moved to another city so she is out of our lives but we still look over our shoulders.
She's out there and no doubt still leaving a trail of chaos and misery in her wake. It pains me to know that she will be interacting with people and turning their lives upside down.

It’s sad that she felt that being wanted by the FBI was her claim to fame and yet she wasn’t. Intense narcissistic behavior. She really didn’t seem the type to commit murder but who knows what things she told herself and believed. She is sick but she knew exactly what she did and how to ask for counsel as soon as she was backed against the wall.
It’s really interesting to see her interact with the investigator that is responding the way she wants to her behavior vs the other officer who isn’t biting the bait. She focuses all her charm on the guy who is charmed by her and the other guy is almost invisible. At least that’s how I saw it.
Your observation is accurate. That’s why “good cop, bad cop” works so well. She thinks she’s making headway with the good one and can ‘win over’ the other one if she just continues displaying her charm. She’s putting on a show for the unreceptive one. It hurts her pride if she can’t ‘win’. Her flirtation is dialed up to 11.
I observed this also. You are so right! Especially when the topic about September birthdays came up. He chimed in and she had NOTHING to say to him. Like he wasn't even there. Little did she realize, neither cop was falling for her BS.

Manipulators focus on who they can manipulate. That's hyper exposed when the manipulator is a psychopath.
Nobody is charmed with her, it is staged. It is to create a scenario were she feels like she is in control. For a psychopath it can feel okay to admit to something if they feel like they won the psychological war up to that point.
Here's the takeaway: If you have a 'strange co-worker', mind your own business and don't pry into their history.

I noticed she interrupted a lot in the beginning but when they closer to the subject of the murder she started listening very closely. Check the interrogations of the woman in the Eye

My ears are bleeding! I am always astonished at the patience these detectives have.
I love the detectives trolling her over her moronic lies and she never picks up on it. She’s sure they are complimenting her.
I think they were far to nice during the whole interview and should have used some intimidation tactics on her. Sitting with her in silence and telling her to be quiet unless she was willing to devulge where she hid the body may have worked. This type of person thrives off of manipulation. I also would have also used 1 male and 1 female detective and some one on one interrogation as well. Plus I would have removed the restraints.
