- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!!! Today, we survey and help clean up after some severe storms with "straight line winds" and possibly an unconfirmed tornado pass through our area. We take our flagship #11, Peterbilt 389X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R heavy rotator towing and recovery unit to set up a construction site office trailer that has been barrel rolled by the storms. We also get to use our new EarTec EVADE headsets. Ethan gets to run the controls of the rotator after recently attending the Miller Industries, "Ring Leaders," rotator training in Chattanooga, TN. You also get to meet another new member of our team, Oscar, who, today is operating our "little Pete", our Century 4024 on a Peterbilt 337. What a versatile machine that thing is!!! Many viewers are asking about the badge on Ethan's belt. It is an Emergency Responder Badge, specifically for towing and recovery. I wear one as well. As many know, Ethan is also on our local Fire Department and has been going through a lot of training with them. He is working to gain as much knowledge as he can and his progress is showing, especially when he runs his own scene. Many do not see how well he is performing handling solo calls. Ethan-cam is such a strange sight, to actually be looking at Ron.
My parents were RV dealers for many years. I had an uncle that sold mobile homes. That office trailer was very well built. Most would have been kindling when it was on its top in the roll over. Nice job by the team in getting this back upright with no more damage. I am sure with as little damage, if the frame is still straight, it is repairable. Someone might just buy it from the insurance company and fix it up. Some hard work and a nice unit cheap.

It's great when you show clips from Ethan's camera as you can actually hear him and see how engaged he is in the process. This if often missed as he is soft spoken and hard to hear from the main camera. Glad to hear all the training he is doing, the business seems like it will be in good hands as he does more and more of the 'grunt' work and allows you to run the business.

BTW Ron it wasn't enough that you posted the rescue of the asphalt spreader a few days ago, Josh from Pepe's Towing had one as well posted yesterday. This was located at a gas station so traffic and time wasn't a big deal.

Nice job Ron, handing off your knowledge to Ethan. We're all good at what we do because of all the mistakes we've learned from. It's tempting and hard not to just tell someone everything you know because they need to make their own mistakes too if they're going to learn something as well as we do. That's tough to do...to watch someone do something different than what you'd know to do and let them find their way. But you do a great job letting him work through problems...pointing out safety related items where you don't want to learn the hard way, etc.

one of the things I learned from you came in handy. Grandpa got the RV. stuck on an incline when he buried the rear towing hitch. a guy came with a small pickup pulling a light tandem trailer. we hooked up a strap to the front axle of the RV. and the trailer frame. I practiced what I learned I had Grandpa give a little gas to assist and he poped out. thank you sir

Really enjoy your videos, and lately it seems you letting your son ( I believe he is ) make more decisions. Iove that they have to learn first hand by doing. That's the only way to learn anything. With you watching over to make sure it's done right. With adding a little advance without over riding them. I grew up on the family farm and all ways love operating heavy equipment. I heard a Proud Papa when that trailer touched down, and you know what, you have every right to be! I also admire and respect that you yielded to Ethan's ideas on how to up right the trailer. It helps his confidence in his own ability. Not to speak for you, but I bet one of your primary concerns with his plan was "Will the drag winch unspool?". Just a guess of course. Great job Ron and the Midwest Truck team and I did some research on the weather in Scott City and surrounding areas from the few days and the storm that you got hit by might of been part of the same storm system that had a confirmed tornado that went through the town of Millville just 344.5 miles from Scott City.

Very well done job and very well thought out by everyone on this rollover as it's hard to imagine being rolled over several times and still held togeather after being outrighted as a normal trailer it would have been leveled on impact why I say that as I v had the hands on experience on dealing with rollovers house trailer as I had to remove several of them after a tornado touched down witness the after math is unbelievable it's no easy task so kudos to ron and his team ps this could be a good fixer upper for someone that is in to redoing these and as well the time

Great to see you getting Ethan involved with the planning and execution of the job. He's a trained Miller Rotator operator now, and you're the guy with the experience. Looking forward to him taking his first job as lead.
I've seen you do this more than a few times and i always have to remember that bringing the boom in has to be accompanied with bringing the cable in as well because the cable is controlled from the winch not the end of the boom as all you are doing is changing the pivot point between the hook and the winch not the cable length. If that makes sense. It looks like Ethan is learning. There's a lot to learn . You have to slow down but not stop when you get near the balance point to give yourself time to see what's happening. Another awesome job well done.
I fully expected that to cave in when I first saw it. Sort of amazed it didn't just rip off the frame. Sure was constructed better than I thought. Looks like the new guy is going to be an asset to the team. Eager to climb and do what ever it takes to get the job done. So, is the short guy ladder lost forever or just on the wrong truck???
Ron thanks for having all of our backs and the Lord as well. I just had to change a tire on my mom's van the the Turn Pike and my head was always looking at traffic and near had my back to the traffic. I also told my parents near have your back to the traffic bc that is very dangerous. We eagle scouts have to stick together and I just got my eagle scout this year in June
