The whole thing with Groot towards the end, demonstrated w/ Gamora, is meant to say that anyone can understand what he’s saying if they’ve been around him long enough, so him saying “I love you guys.” at the end is then meant to suggest that we all have too.
I think Gunn's exact quote was "we're all part of the family now"
That makes sense to me, honestly. Real wholesome lol
I love how James Gunn used the hype of "Who's gonna die?" dilemma that the MCU fans were worried about AND THEN turned it around and no one actually dies. Instead he writes an ending where the characters get to finish their arc as separate individuals. And I love that.
They (the suspected ones) all had their moments where we thought they were gonna die. Drax when he got shot twice, Rocket going to the light, and Quill when he got stuck in space. And yeah, I love that they did finish their arcs.
A genius move =)
@@GHanBax also nebula piloting the exploding ship
Plus Drax getting his head beat by Adam was pretty worrying at first
@@behurastudio Despite that, Drax is truly a survivor, he has a healing factor similar to Wolverine
Rocket's scream of devastation will never leave my mind. I felt every single part of it. Bradley Cooper deserves an Oscar for that performance.
The way The High Evolutionary started mocking his screams to his face was pure evil. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a villain more than in that moment. Dude deserved every moment of that mauling and then some.
@@pyroguy1104 indeed.
Young Rocket was actually voiced by Sean Gunn! But yes, it's absolutely heartbreaking
@@pyromncer410 that’s for after the flashbacks of baby Rocket and before the flashback of Lylla's death.
lol because he yelled? Please.
Every scene with Rocket's backstory had me legitimately teary-eyed.
100%
The saddest part about all of it has to be the fact that Nebula… NEBULA, said that it was worse than what Thanos ever did to her, and she ain’t wrong, Rocket being tortured, torn apart and put back together the way he was done, i can see how Nebula is shocked at it
Just teary-eyed? I was sobbing silently in the theater for probably half the run-time 😭😭
Can't disagree, Rocket with his friends, and I do love Floor, Teef and Liyla
Don't forget Nebula and Rocket spent 5 years together after having lost everyone else that was close to them, trauma bonding and all that shit. In that time they would have likely become very close -- the only family either of them had left. Their relationship seems to be skimmed over by a lot of people in this movie from what I've seen.
Let's not forget their bond with each other as experiments disfigured and tortured by their adoptive father's. Then Rocket rebuilt Nebula with care.
Like when Rocket came back to life the first thing he ask is where is Nebula ? 😢
Actress Mikaela Hoover who voiced Floor did a phenomenal job. I rarely get emotional or attached to characters in a movie, much less animated ones. But she really did break my heart with "Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now!" Such a simple line, but she put so much pain and fear into it, that for a moment, I could feel true sympathy for her character. As one commenter pointed out, Floor's rabbit instincts were telling her to run, but she couldn't leave her family,so she stayed, begging them to go with her. I'm surprised that Hoover hasn't done more that I've heard about, she has talent.
I honestly am still unable to hear her panicky voice saying that over and over again. It broke me in the theatre and I will never get over it
My friend took his two daughters to see this and he said “before they had only gotten teary eyed at movies, but when Teefs, floor and lylla were murdered they were full on crying.”
Didn't the actress got famous for being on vine??
@@muddabuwshi6510 I'm not sure, I don't know what vine is.
I don't know why I kept thinking it was Laura Bailey. I guess any lass with a "cutesy" accent is now just Jester in my ears. :|
Fun fact: The small creature that says thank you is actually James Gunn making his first cameo
This character was originally made for Stan Lee. R.I.P LEGEND
James Gunn confirmed that when Groot says “I love you guys” he’s really still saying “I am groot”, it’s just that we finally understand him like they do. 😭😭😭
No, cuz anytime he says groot he’s always saying sum different
@@user-hh8df6zo6sNah, he's right, gunn literally said that
Completely makes sense no one reacted when he said " i love you guys" so he had to say " i am groot""
me when i dont know what im talking about@@user-hh8df6zo6s
This was a super hard watch for me. I cried in the theatre, on the way home and for an hour after I got there, lol. The animal cruelty was too much for me, but I appreciated how real it was. We don’t deserve animals.
I also loved Nebula in this, she was underrated, she was pretty much the one holding everyone together.
IT WAS TOO MUCH!!! it was so hard to watch. especially with floor, i have a bunny myself and hit too close. i cry every time i think of this movie..deadass.
Too much, yet still far less graphic & tame compared to the actual animal cruelty every animal in the meat & dairy industry are forced into
For me it was down to dealing with a long time friend group going separate paths and already having it weigh heavy on my mind prior to watching. Made me cry my eyes out. This was the 1st marvel film I'd seen without em too.
Honestly this movie is the most fun I've had with the MCU in a while
I agree completely, it was such a fun movie
Most Definitely
Huh?
Same, I was not expecting much but it really delivered.
Hey, James made sure he left Marvel with a 💥 and he delivered.
this movie is heartbreakingly beautiful
When baby Rocket said "Hurts" it broooooke me
43:28 this hits a little harder when you realize that Groot doesn't just look shyly pleased because Gamora understood him, he looks that way because _his mom_ understood him. All the original Guardians raised him, so they're all his parents, and he was probably hurting in his own way after they lost her and then got back someone who treated him like a stranger.
Groot isn't actually uttering "I love you guys" through his mouth. He still utters "I am Groot", but now we can understand what he's saying
“Rocket, teefs, floor go now” will always bring me to tears. And when he first says hurts made me sob immediately
It still gives me chills
"I love you guys.". Means we have been with them for too long that we finally understood Groot.
Cody’s reaction to Floor being “Ew, no!” made me so upset. We love Floor. ❤😭
Rockets origin and his “family” killed me. I can’t handle animals getting hurt. Lol
I never thought I'd get all blubbery from seeing a hug with a raccoon, a human and a tree. This movie was phenomenal, and a perfect wrap to the trilogy.
Saw this twice in theatres with my sister and it was amazing each time, even though I cried like 6 times each 😭 my sister and I saw part 2 in theatres also and we genuinely didn’t think going into it anything could beat our viewing experience of that but I genuinely think this is the best in the trilogy 🙌
Having the final shot of the Guardians trilogy be Rocket howling at the sky in happiness was the perfect way to cap off these wonderful movies.
Obligatory comment about Groot not actually saying "I love you guys" at the end, but it's actually us being with Groot for long enough that we understood his "I am Groot" now
Incredible movie. It had all of the things i wanted. Action, fun, emotions, crying. I enjoyed it so freaking much. And i love the detail James Gunn added for Groot when he said: I love you guys. - he made Groot said that, because we spent so much time with Guardians and with Groot over the years so we started understanding him.
I love Adam Warlock's little buddy. It looks like if a spider were cat-sized and cute. Also, I was so glad to see that little cameo by Yondu.
Ironically, millions of years ago, spiders used to be the size of a human head.
44:32 There's a telepathic component to Groot's communication, and you have to spend a certain amount of time with him in order to be able to receive his signals.
We the audience, now at the conclusion of Vol 3, have finally spent enough time with Groot to be able to understand him as well.
Just as alt-timeline Gamora finally did a few scenes earlier.
This was the perfect ending. Lots of rumors about rocket's or drax's deaths and then the big scare at the end with peter really had me not breathing for a minute. Soundtrack on point as usual. First movie I went to the theater for in a long time and I wasn't disappointed.
She's not from a different universe, she's from earlier in her timeline, i think.
It's even sadder when you realize Gamora was like a mother to Groot and he has to sit there and deal with her not understanding or even recognizing him..
And no he didn't speak English at the end, the audience just finally understood Groot. Gunn confirmed.
Listening to James Gunn's director's commentary, where he talks about the dancing scene at the end of the movie. He played the motion stand-in for Groot and his brother Sean plays the motion stand-in for Rocket. So he got to dance with his brother, just like when they were kids, while getting their chance to live their dream of creating a massive movie. It was really quite moving to listen to.
Little known fact, in the comics after Peter goes back to Earth, he doesn't stay with his grandfather for very long. This is because he finds out that Shield has been tracking him since Thanos attacked and he has to change his name and move away from anyone he knows to keep them safe. He changed his name to Andy Dwyer
I love when they are setting all the animals free at the end and you just hear mantis "go babies, go babies" she is my spirit animal 😂❤
Seeing this in theaters was an experience...incredible movie. My mom who doesnt like any mcu movie loves the guardians movies and cried like a baby during the 3rd one. My favorite too Bridget!
Saw this twice in cinemas and it was worth every second of the rewatch. Such a win!
"The name is Rocket, Rocket Racoon" - one of the best line in the movie(chills)
When I understood Drax wasn’t a destroyer he was a dad I realized when a man has nothing to protect he will become a destroyer a cup full of water flew out my eyes
This movie is my fav movie of the entire mcu it’s just so good. Guardians might have one of the best trilogy’s in movie history aswell no cap
Rocket's scream was such a powerful moment...
The first official F bomb in the MCU that's quality content right there
Man it's so amazing to think about how far Nebula has come
My favourite moment is at the end when Drax starts dancing as the song reaches its climax
And it was unscripted when he said it.
I loved how close Rocket and Nebula are in this one. It makes sense too, since they were the only two guardians left for 5 years after Thanos snapped, they had lots of time to bond. Nebula getting emotional when they save Rocket and she hears his voice made me cry (so did everything else in this movie tho tbh).
@@vordt4139not unscripted.
One of the best films in the MCU but also the best Guardians Film this movie had so much action and heart but also had an emotional story about Rocket which is what i loved most about this film also fun fact about the hallway fight scene that was all done in one take!
it’s so sad when u think abt groot going from having gamora as a mother figure to then her not even remembering how to speak his language
Saying floor is your least favorite is gonna make me hunt you down and make you into a floor
James Gunn played my heart like a fiddle in this film. I Ugly cried, but also died laughing. The best mcu film in ages
Everybody think they gangsta till Lylla hits you with the "But not yet"
Secret invasion is definitely worth checking out. To me i think it has a caption America winter soldier vibe to it. A show where you can’t trust pretty much anyone. I love it. 100% worth the watch
Groot didn't say "I love you guys" at the end, he said, "I am Groot" we just finally understood him
This movie completely WRECKED me. I knew it would, but I didn't expect it to be so swift about it. Didn't even make it to the friggin TITLE SCREEN. And then it's just... Rollercoaster deluxe. Loved it. Needed emotional recouperation before engaging with it again though.
In that moment where groot speaks and we the audience can finally understand him. Brilliant.
I was absolutely cracking up in the theaters when i saw this but then before i knew it i was sobbing 😭 this movie messed with my emotions
gotta love how groot is the innocent nice one but also by far the most vicious and violent when it goes down.
This is my favorite MCU movie right now
Film made me cry like a massive baby in the cinema
Me too😭🙌🏼 I knew it was gonna be emotional but not crying in a packed theater emotional😂
This movie was sad af
@@frankiefaddaI hate animal abuse 😭 upsets me so much
@@Winford.Studios if that’s true, definitely don’t pay for meat or dairy ever, this is very tame compared to what billions of other animals go through at the hands of cruel humans
@@TherealfakemaxgoldbergI’m vegetarian 😀
I was in the theater for 30 minutes and was already bawling my eyes out. This movie was fantastic but so sad. Like Bridget said 1000/1000!!!
Great reaction video to a fantastic movie‼️ Loved the “DON’T” commentary to my scene. Mantis made me do it 😂‼️
- Bam “The Dancing Guard” 👽🖖🏾
i love how we finally know groot well enough to understand him..
I love the deliberate mention of the magnet boots at the beginning to illustrate what they were in the final fight.
Right when I saw that scene in the beginning I said, that's gonna come back later.
So glad we got to see you guys watch this! Absolutely incredible movie! definately in my top 3 mcu films
Man the tears I had during this film was insane, absolutely broke me! And not that it’s important at all but the cgi in this movie is some of the best to date!!!
44:25 He didn't say "I love you guys". He said "I am Groot". But NOW we can understand what he means. :)
Rocket built that ship, the gear, weapons .... he was always sorta meant to be the leader ... builds the gun in the first the movie, the bomb in the second!!! "This was always your story, you just didn't know it yet" :) :) :)
First MCU film I cried to and the second film overall after Bridge to Terabithia.
Lol facts that movie fucked me up when I watched it in elementary always hoped it would get a sequel
Bridge to terabithia was special. Hence why i always wanna go and enjoy watching beautiful sceneries
damn you gotta watch more good movies then
Another amazing reaction 🤙🏽
The soundtrack to this is amazing! It must have been a nightmare editing this haha
"I love you guys" - Groot
This scene was in the perspective of the team who understands what he says. He still said "I am Groot" but we get to hear what they hear. Also, Gamora finally understands him because Groot's language is about emotional bond, which she earned again in the end.
This movie sky rocketed to my top 5 favorite MCU movies! Now off to watch you react to it :D
If you love animal. And watching this movie you gonna cry!!
7:27 Baby rocket saying, hurts, it hurt us
I love the shit out of your reactions...any show, I'm here! Thanks for the laughs!💕
I liked how they worked on that proposal that appears in Moon Knight, they show that the afterlife changes according to the individual's vision and that it is very diverse, and theirs is made up of the only worldview they have, cages.
39:19 fun fact James Gunn Said that this was Supposed to be the Stan lee cameo when it was written lmao one of his faces was gonna be Stan
Loki was an absolutely amazing series to watch ,I was a bit skeptical about it but it was great!
Wrong video
@@Cam_bit they asked what else they should watch...
@@Cam_bitstill time to delete your comment…
you forget the dog's name but the russians really did send a dog named Cosmo into space where it died. I always saw the MCU Cosmo as a tribute to any animal who had science tested on them to death....
Did you notice that Drax literally steals the motorcycle from a Biker Mice from Mars
Floor shouting "rocket teef floor go now" over and over again hurts th most. The fear, despair in the voice. Just can't take it.
By the way, I do a little work for The Reel Rejects. I can’t believe I haven’t seen your channel until now. You both are awesome and remind me of myself and my wife. You both rock!
OMGGG YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH I WAS WAITING FOR THIS REACTION
You guys are awesome! Please continue to upload!
"I LOVE YOU GUYS."
- Groot
One of THE BEST moments of this movie overall!!!!😭
The reason Groot said I love you guys in english is because he actually said I am Groot but because we have spent so much time with him we now understand him.
"Stop crunching" make my day, and I don't know why was so funny for me
There's a Nova project in the works, and Star Lord and Nova is one of those iconic comic duos. I'm hoping that's where we see Star Lord next
"Dad or grandpa?"
His dad is Ego..
I'm new here and I've been beige watching everything. I enjoy the channel. I say YES. Yes to react to all the MCU pictures you showed in the beginning
never noticed this but before cosmo kills the snapping turtle guy, it sounds like he either says "jeez" or "shes-"
The first F bomb in any MCU movie/show…..and it was awesomely placed and funny as hell. “Open the F’n door!”
think this is my first viewing since seeing in theaters, still hits so hard thanks yall!
James Gunn said in an interview that a Star Lord movie is in the works. It’s going to be based on a comic where Peter is coming to terms living back on earth.
yayyyyyyyy I'm so happy
Peter being reunited with his grandfather -- *that* almost made me cry.
I was shredded with the death of Lila. It just went down an emotional roller-coaster from there.
Cosmo, the telekinetic dog was based on Laika the first animal to orbit the Earth, launched by the Soviet Union, never to return alive. I like to think she had a beautiful life.
All the time we have seen Rocket, he denied being a raccoon. Until he met his kin, and suddenly he found _pride_ in being a raccoon.
BRIDGE just womping them out at the start lol
I would love to see reactions to the marvel shows and movies you've missed! It'd be so much fun! Loki and Hawkeye are two of my favorites.
"Dad or grandpa?" 😂😂 as if his dad Ego the living planet was literally the villain of the 2nd movie
This movie fuckin rules, absolute blast of a movie and the perfect close to a stellar trilogy and maybe the best team in the MCU. This movie exceeded all my expectations and had everything I could’ve hoped for in it, also love that Gunn subverted expectations big time and all of them survived, lastly all of them got amazing ends to their story arcs. Gunn hit a home run with this movie and it’s in my highest tier of MCU movies along with IW/iron man 1/gotg1/winter soldier. Truly the perfect end for this team and for James Gunn’s time In the MCU, I’m really gonna miss seeing this lineup on screen together but they got the perfect send off so I’m happy. Nice reaction guys.
The explanation of "why there is so much yellow goop?" Much like the Celestial head they live in, those large Celestial 's dead parts are left all over the galaxy and people harvest their organs on a massive scale. Or use them to live in. Kinda like the Celestial sticking out of Earth in Eternal's. That eventually becomes an Avenger complex.
One time, when I saw this at theaters, when I knew Rocket’s story was about to come up with him being experimented on, I had to run to the bathroom to avoid that scene because it scared me so much, when I ran I accidentally tripped and scratched my knee on the carpet. It was just a little scrape.
Not so fun fact, Cosmo is based on the real space dog Laika. She was the first ever living creature to be sent into orbit by the soviets. It was understood from the get go that Laika would not survive the mission. They plucked her off the streets, fed her, cared for her, then sent her skyrocketing into space. Alone in a tiny little capsule knowing she wouldn’t make it back. They said she’d die once she ran out of oxygen but she had a heart attack about 3 hours into orbit. R.I.P Laika 🌹
The whole point of understanding what Groot said and the end means we are all his family
I was almost crying in the cinema While 2minutes after having so much fun because of drax and his mate ;( Best film in MCU BY FAR
Omg I have been a blubbering mess with all rocket scenes who knew his back story was so tragic for such a happy go lucky raccoon but I agree with Bridget this is my faveroute guardians of the galaxy by a mile I felt so many emotions with this movie I am glad they didn't kill of rocket and I hope that they plan on making more films down the line
Quill really called The Evolutionary "Robo cop lookin"
Just watched this movie this morning. Now joining you. I will watch any Marvel content you guys put out! This is top 5 MCU movies of all time. Love you guys
This movie was so phenomenal so much heart and funny moments . I was a wreck both times I’ve watched it .
