- 2023 is almost over, which means it's time to share my top 10 games of the year! I played a lot of fantastic games in 2023, and it was pretty hard to choose which ones were my favorite. See you all in 2024!

My top two are the same, but flipped. Hi-Fi Rush is absolutely incredible though and I totally get why you slotted it in at number 1

I never really gave Hi-Fi Rush or Sea of Stars much thought until this video, needless to say they've been added to my wishlist!

Another MasterPiece VideoGame for 2023 that got a well deserved and worth the wait Sequel for me is Alan Wake 2 With it’s Great Story Voice Acting Music and Characters and I Highly recommend it
I would never consider rpgs or rhythm games but this year I played for the first time Mario and Luigi Dreamteam and Metal Hellslinger. These two games for me reminded me of why i love gaming and really expanded my selection on what games to play in the future. I’ll definitely need to check out sea of stars and hi-fi rush. They look like really fantastic games.

Games like planet of Lana are the reason flower is one of if not my all time favorite games. Games like flower journey and abzu that let you get lost in the environment with beautiful music and visuals is always a good time.

i want to give attending a local FGC meetup a try (i’m right there with you regarding playstation plus!). i doubt i would have taken a liking to fighting games had i not dated someone who was into them a few years ago-having friends that are relaxed, casual fighting game enjoyers expanded my idea of how i like to have fun while socializing. i hope SF6 inspires developers to do more to onboard players new to fighting games, because i don’t think people look to video games for the kind of gradual learning & delayed gratification inherent in most fighting games :)
lastly, which characters did you enjoy piloting the most?
In SF6 I mainly play as Ken, although Dee Jay is super fun to play as too

Aligned with every game on this list, except Spider-Man 2. Enjoyed part 1 and Miles Morales, but didn't like part 2.
Persona 5 is easily my favourite game ever so i’m glad you spent time getting through it. it’s really a journey.
RE2 also freaked me out constantly, at least until you leave the Police Station and go to the sewers, the game gets worse for me there.

i’m on the final badge level of mario wonder now and i think it’s really fun. nothing about the game is particularly revolutionary or even too unique tbh, but it’s just incredibly well designed and polished. lots of fun.
it was good enough to make me want to 100% it as I go along. i just wish it was slightly longer. World 1, 4 and the Petal Isles are great, but 3 and 5 feel very rushed since they’re much shorter and don’t even have a boss. world 2 is solid but just a bit too short, and world 6 feels too generic in its theming. i think having 8 main worlds would still have been a better choice.
Just out of curiosity do you play much of the soulsborne type games?
I played Elden Ring last year and really enjoyed it, I want to play more of them

Genuinely curious, does no one care about Jedi Survivor anymore? I mean TOTK is at the top of my list, and Pikmin 4 and Spider-Man 2 are definitely in my top 5, but I think Survivor is my 2nd favorite and pretty much since a month after release it seems people have forgotten about it.
It was probably my 2nd favorite game from last year. I guess the discourse surrounding its performance tarnished its reputation too much :/ it’s really not talked about at all
