- It's the most wonderful time of the year... summer! Tropical locations are some of my favorite places to spend time in while playing games, so today I'm going over some of the best ones I've experienced. I hope you're in the mood for palm trees and steel drums. Thanks for watching!

Tropical locations in Nintendo games have some of my favorite atmospheres in gaming. I love the steel drums that play durring the music as well, it's always so relaxing
My favorite will always be Isle Delphino. Sunshine was my first 3D Mario game and one of my favorite childhood games. I remember spending hours not even collecting shines; I'd just walk around the plaza or any of the other levels. It made me feel like I was on vacation myself. The tropical setting never got repetitive for me, if anything I wanted to see more of it.
8:42 Isle Delfino looks like a beta Wuhu Island (from Wii Sports Resort) - look at the position of that volcano, the lake in the middle, the town and port, the beach sticking out to the right, the small island to the south... Nintendo has been recycling!

Yes!!! I've been hoping for someone to make a video about tropical locations! They're easily my favorite aesthetic and the best way to calm down after a stressful day. You definitely got to most of my favorite areas, but a couple of other ones I might add are the tropical levels from both Mario Galaxies, and the tropical level that unlocks in Miitopia after you beat the game. Great video!

"Until next time my beloved archipelago". The way you said this for Wuhu Island sounded so heartwarming and it surely came from the bottom of your heart. God I love this channel.
I remember the commercials for Pokemon Sun and Moon from when I was a kid. The tropical theme immediately appealed to me and I always wanted to play it. But I never actually got to play it. After almost seven years, I just recently started playing ultra sun and it's exactly how I remembered it. Simply gorgeous.
But my winner would probably be the marine resort from the Wii version of GoVacation. The music, the lighting, the sounds, the npcs, the atmosphere. Just perfect. The fact that the resort is so big only makes it better. You can swim in the sea, walk along the beach, but also explore ancient ruins or crystal caves in the mystic forest. I spent so much time there with my friend back then, it was a lot of fun. Although it is not a "Nintendo" game, it is still my favorite place.
Really love the chill vibes of this one! If I were to make one I’d add the Sevii islands from LeafGreen and FireRed but this is an excellent list!
I love the snow locations more. But I gotta say I love the island in acnl. So nostalgic. So peaceful any time of day. And so much to do. ❤️
What a delightful video! I adore water levels, and beach levels are just water levels with more exploration! I remember spending HOURS just swimming in Beach Bowl galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy when I was little! I've always loved to swim in real life and in games!

I think the Nintendo 'land genres' are some of their funnest things. Tropical worlds are always so beautifully idealised and fun :)
In my head canon all these places are in the same sea. The idea of Wuhu Island and Isle Delfino my two favourite locations being so close is just so cool to me

Love this video!! I love tropical locations in video games too. For me especially, it's a huge plus when there is pirate elements along with it, so I really love Keelhaul Key from Paper Mario TTYD

Beach Bowl Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy is always a favorite of mine. I remember as a kid I would just load up a mission and run and swim around the level

For as annoying as Mario Sunshine can be for me sometimes... Isle Delfino is basically the undisputed king of Tropical Nintendo Locations. The amount of different environments and levels they get out just a vacation summer theme is really impressive.
I was hoping you would mention Bubblaine. It's on my top list of my favorite game locations. 😁
Kawawii Island (Go Vacation) takes the #1 spot for me.

Not that big on the Tropical part but I been thinking on a few Yoshi Story levels which do make me happy, mostly due to it's music.
I find it funny that I completely forgot about Delfino Island since I had the game yet I was thinking of Outset Island, not really a Zelda fan and only played this game once I did like the place a bit.
Of course seeing Delfino Island it did put a big fat smile on my face, I like the place were there is Lava Chain-Chomps the most.

I am someone that enjoys more Ice Levels, I live in the desert so anything that reminds me of the Heat, Sand and Sun just makes me sick of it.
The only tropical level that I do like that is on the same level to it's Ice level in the same game would be Treasure Trove Cove from Banjo Kazooie (yes I know it's not Nintendo anymore) yet still is my number 1.

mario sunshine doesnt have jankie controls. your just really used to the levels in 64. more importantly the game is just harder and i do agree that it has difficulty spikes but its not the controls

The one area that I would include is Maricopa Reef from New Pokémon Snap. That area is so beautiful, especially at sunset.
