Not enough people are talking about Sonny Jurgensen doing an actual BEHIND THE BACK PASS
time stamp plz
@@baits8420 @4:12
@@MrV41N i’ll pass, already got the answer too so no need to be weird😹
@@spookiboi7744 thx my guy
Historical note: That was Sonny's first start as Eagles QB. The game was the 1961 College All-Star Game, which was played between the NFL Champion and a team of rookies for charity. Sonny got the start, because Philly's starting QB in 1960 was Norm Van Brocklin; who had retired and was now the head coach of the first-year Minnesota Vikings.
Some of these really old dudes from the 50s and 60s were unreal. Actual behind the back pass, and falling on your butt and still throwing to the end zone?? These dudes got some balls
Absolutely. Respect to those guys for toughing it out.
I respect anyone playing football in leather helmets with no facemask, no mouth piece and in the real weather element (no dome, heated field, etc)...gotta respect it
@@truthiscensored Back in the days when a guy like Night Train Lane tackled above the shirt. When the Philly/Giants rivalry started with a tackle people swore killed a man that day (due to a person coincidentally dying at that stadium for other reasons same day).
Hell, Joe Theismann was a beast even in my fathers era for wearing the single bar helmet. Shit was a magnet for grabbing. Film on old players is wild. I watched, and would reccommend you if you like it, film on Gale Sayers on the day he played in the mud. I don't know how a man glided where everyone stood still on that crap. People would be complaining today saying the game should be postponed! D:
Not to mention issuing a big ass ball that’s not meant for throwing😂😂
Back when you got 3 concussions during a game then wen t and worked 11 hours in the steel mill the next day.
Watching Fitzpatrick getting his head almost ripped off and still making the completion will always live with me forever. Heck of a game!
For a QB who never played in a playoff game Fitzpatrick was pretty amazing
Do you mean Fitzmagic
@@parkerduncan978 only when Pickmagic isn't in the house
@@answeris4217 its fitzmagic or fitztragic for sure
It was almost like an animation😭
Looked too unreal💀
Herbert to Guyton was one of the best displays of pure arm talent I've ever seen, over 60 yards with perfect placement 😮
Josh Allen to Gabriel Davis throw was pretty Good Throw Also
That Sonny behind the back throw was NUTS! We use "Backyard football" to describe many a play, but if a play could ever look like a "just how we drew it up (in the dirt)" nonsensical play that's the one. Amazing. That's the type of play that explains why hes a Hall of Famer I guess!
4:22😮
I need mahomes to pull that move out this year !
@@lizoyd18 he’s been working on it. he says it’s coming
@@brownie3454 He could definitely pull it off and Reids the coach who would take the time to make it work. For years they said give Reid a HOF QB and you'd have a dynasty. They certainly look the part for KC fans!
It was also pointless and unnecessary. Lol Wasn’t difficult either. Just different. Ppl do that messing around in their backyard just playing catch all the time.
Disgusting lack of Matthew Stafford. The dude has some of the craziest throws in NFL history.
It's not his fault, no throw can be described as "impossible" when Calvin Johnson is on the other end.
@@pat2rome Then put him in the beginning! Ain't like he didn't work for it, since they had to go for him almost every play.
@@pat2rome Stafford's best years were when Calvin wasn't there.
It’s insane the disrespect on a Super Bowl winning QB that throws no look passes and has a cannon arm.
Lions fans be like
Manning to Manningham. Was scared this would be left off. Amazing video.
Never expected Tim Couch to be on this highlight reel once, let alone TWICE lol
Just shows he had potential and the Browns ruined it…
And neither of his appearances were a famously successful Hail Mary pass
And Ben Roethlisberger made it once 😂 it was pretty much a Rodgers and Mahomes film
And not one single Burrow pass? Ridiculous.
20:34 I will never not laugh at Paul Allen’s pain that Josh McCown gave him that moment
that NOOOO is transcendent
NO!
The Brady to Moss connection in double coverage was unreal
Two of the best, making the best plays
@@MrV41N really I had no idea
It 99% Moss too, those throws are just floaters
The Brady to Moss show is still the greatest show the NFL has ever seen🔥💯
@@patrickr2691 clown take bro🤡🤡🤡
My favourite was Fitzpatrick’s given how far he has to throw it, the situation in the game, and that he got facemasked while throwing it like 40+ yards down the field, all at the same time basically, just insane
That Cutler throw starting around 1:37 is so sick. rolling left, throwing back toward the middle 63 yards on the dot and getting decked right after he lets it go. Awesome.
Its crazy he became a bodybuilder after his football career
Dude could've been great if he gave a shit about football
@@titusdangelo3001from Smoking Jay and getting 6 wins a year to 6x Mr. O
That Cam Newton throw around the defenders helmet was beautiful!!
Was gonna say, 12:45 was nasty
Yeah great camera angle
The scott Mitchell throw in 1993 vs. New england was unreal. He was going down, lobbed the ball without seeing it, and completed the pass to mark Ingram
Those Aaron Rodgers throws are insane. His arm talent was unreal
Was?
is unreal*
The best to do it
People really underrate him this year for being on the Jets
@@cacatayo1989 he's anything but underrated right now lol
Warren Moon was such a dang good QB. It's a pity his teams just couldn't cut it, because he absolutely had Super Bowl champion level skill.
The Tannehill to brown throw was insane. He hit AJ in the cradle when AJ turned.
i think AJ just has that turn down to a science. feels like he did it regularly with Jalen Hurts this past season
Mahomes throw in the Super Bowl where he was parallel to the ground and hit Williams in the face mask is still the best throw I've ever seen
Sonny with that behind the back was crazy
Really cool to see Logan Thomas switch from QB to tight End and find some success
that Cutler pass at 1:35 was insane
Was about to comment this, dude had such a cannon
Casually chucked it 65 yards 💀
@@owen754 he honestly could have been so good if he cared😂
@@fakexsniipes2196 he cared, he just did a bad job of showing it. As a bears fan I miss him
PJ Walker's 70 yd bomb is the best throw I've ever seen
Aaron Rodgers has made some of the craziest throws
fr, couldve just been a rodgers highlight reel with some of the other throws they put in by other guys that rodgers made routinely
I love watching these incredible plays from way back
Roethlisberger in the SB against the Cards will continue to be the best single throw I've ever seen in the NFL. The perfection of the throw mixed with the weight of the outcome makes it top.
And it didn’t make this video. Lol
@@CoffeeNo0b0514it definitely is in this video lol
Those Aaron Rodgers throws are insane. His arm talent was unreal. That Cam Newton throw around the defenders helmet was beautiful!!
That Brady to lafell pass is super underrated
You absolutely nailed this video. Well done, round of applause 👏🏽
The Cunningham avoid the sack in the end zone then on target bomb for a TD is still amazing to this day
seeing andre johnson in a titans uniform at 15:16 hurts my soul.
The passes that Mahomes threw in Chiefs vs Bucs were unbelievable.
They literally don’t even make any sense in regards to the actual law of physics either??? Like you need to plant your back foot to generate power from your lower body up to wind into the throw… yet he did that MULTIPLE fucking times without even touching the ground needed for the process in the first place. It’s remarkable …
ikr. mahomes is a different species
it's unfair to put aliens against normal people
@@8aemr😂😂😂
I didn't see the Bengals in a single play. This may be the longest montage I've ever seen without seeing them either causing damage or getting damaged. Wow
the throw where he fell and still threw it was crazy
Madden saying, "That's not an arm -- that's a gun!" has me rolling 12:38
Lol this is just Rodgers, Favre, Elway, and Mahomes highlights. I love it.
I'm a simple man, I see a video of great throws, I watch a video of great throws
Wow Peyton Manning and Drew Brees only 1 highlight each. Those two have made some incredible throws in their careers. Thanks for the vid.
No Marino either
1:53 I saw this play and that was insane! Beautiful throw by Brett Farve
I love football videos like this that give the great oldies some love. That Jurgensen throw still amazes me.
That behind the back pass was INSANE
got to appreciate the wrs work too
I still don't know how the camera man got the perfect shot on that Russell Wilson pass. There was no question his knee wasn't down and yet I still watch every time stunned.
he will bounce back this season and not write back tho!! 💪🏽 lotta people boutta look so dumb 😤
You called these increasingly more impossible, but the Tom Brady throws are average throws lol
Guys getting pulled down, strangled, flipped, falling, and flicking it 50 yards while Brady just throws normal. Maybe gets hit after...but that's it
The fact that there us not 1 RAVENS QB in this highlight video is egregious.
That FitzMagic throw is still ridiculous lol
Love isn’t about how to find out the similarities,it’s about how to respect the differences.
Shoutout to Cosh Report for making this kind of video a trend
joe burrow to jamarr chase against browns is probably one of the best throws into the tightest window i've ever seen.
That Vick pass was roughly 69 yards in the air, and was an absolute dot.
The Catch II should be here. Steve Young threaded the needle between three defenders and got it to T.O.
Plz do a top 10 draft years (and honorable mentions) the week of the draft plz! Would love an in depth video by you guys for that!
As a Giants fan, I may hate the Eagles. But the Cunningham deep ball against the Bills, plus Vick’s in MNF… some of the most insane throws ever
I was at that Eagles-Bills game, and I still don't know how Cunningham got away from Bruce Smith.
Wilson should have had one more throw in that video. The one I am thinking of is the throw to I believe Lockett where Wilson launched the ball and it looked like it was almost straight up in the air. When it came down it was dime perfect into Lockett's arms in stride. The ball came down as if it were dropped from a plane. It's like trying to throw it into a basketball whoop, that's moving over 20 mph away from you, with the backboard between you and the hoop.
And now he has the TD against the bill to sutton for a future video
People can say whatever about the Falcons losing that superbowl but that throw from Ryan (and catch from Julio) to put them in field goal range with just 4 minutes left was absolutely freaking clutch and they lost because of coaching after that
Thank you, people always want to blame Matt Ryan for that lost.
Tyreek's awareness to jump backwards mid roll at 21:58 and preserve every iota of momentum. Holy cow.
On that last play - the famous one - in the alternate universe, Too Tall Jones jumps three tenths of a second later and pounds the ball to the turf. In that alternate universe, they still wonder to this day what would have happened if Too Tall had only, had only, jumped three tenths of a second sooner.
We need a part 2. Wentz to Sanders in 2019 is missing, some of andrew lucks throws are missing. There's a lot lol. We gonna need more than 1 vid!! 🔥
I was gonna say this one too, as well as Wentz to Mack Hollins in the Atlanta game that same season. Definitely need more of these clips!
Vick to D-Jax is how everyone dreams of starting the game lol
Great compilation, thank you. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
bens throw is the greatest of all time. no question. for the win in SB
20:16 Rodgers throwing it over 25 yards with his wrist lol
Wowww no hail Murray, that is one of the most ridiculous catches I've ever seen.
1:18 brady * breathes*
"oH MY GOD BRADY"
3:26 Was actually impressive, not brady worship
20:32 CAUGHT! TOUCHDOWN!! NOOOOO!!!! Hearing that will never get old.
A lot of these throws made me think "that was amazing!" Fitzmagic's makes me think "how?"
10:01 that throw, catch, & TD was niceeeee
Russell Wilson’s chest pass this year is for sure underrated
The rare Jay Fiedler highlight.
The commentary at 27:07 is hilarious.
"CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?"
"UNBELIEVABLE!"
"BELIEVE IT!!!"
WE ARE GOING TO OVERTIME
Nah bro this is tough 🔥
9:23 *should* have sealed SB LI it not for Shanahan's idiotic play calling afterward
I still can't believe the Falcons blew that. Literally ALL they had to do after Julio's catch was not lose yards and they'd have an easy game-sealing FG. Yet somehow they LOST 23 yards.
Russ was the king of having eyes in the back of his head
I swear Ryan Fitzpatrick was the most fun to watch player in NFL history
Fitzmagic baby!
and the way he threw the dot while getting his face mask pulled was just so cool. im glad he was a fin.
Fitz Magic !!
Lol. Yeah, he was fun to watch if you were a fan of the opposing team a lot of the time, too
Ryan Fitzpatrick having his head turned like an owl and delivering a dime should be number one and that’s just a fact
One of the best videos i ever watched
I was skeptical of Amazons stats thing at first. I have to admit that it's pretty cool.
Soooooo many great Tom Brady throws left off this video. 2020 back of the endzone to AB against the lions, pass to scotty miller in the back left corner of the end zone against the ravens, pass to the sideline while laying on his back after his center tripped him against the bengals, etc etc. Not only is Brady the GOAT, but he also is top 5 in pure arm talent of all time, especially when it comes to his touch and accuracy when throwing the football, and he has a much stronger arm than people give him credit for. He could easily have his own video or several videos highlighting the craziest throws he's made in his career. Would've been nice to see more of them in this video.
There is no pass more impossible and perfect than that big ben to holmes pass in the super bowl. I’m not even a steelers fan, but that one has me in awe every time.
Nice collection, well edited! Wish you had been able to find some footage of Tarkenton, or Unitas, or Staubach...
Rodgers and Mahomes were ubiquitous in this video
One of the greates throws ever made...IMO.
Ben Rothlesberger into the end zone to beat the Cardinals and win the SB.
That ball was inches from being tipped by the defense, best throw I've ever seen.
I'm a Cardinal Fan. I dispise Ben for beating them, but all credit to him for making that throw...the accuracy just blows me away every time I see it.
I keep wanting to see the defense tip it away, but it never happens...LoL
Best throw I've ever seen.
Two of the best passers to ever live are in this video. Neither named Brady.
This is basically an Aaron rodgers highlight video, swear I’ve seen him 10 times in this video, insane
Everytime Eli makes a pass he closes his eyes and prays🤣🤣
That old man was still dropping pretty dimes. He could've given us one more year with another squad looking for some Superbowl magic.
the one time Niners could use some real help at QB and the motherfucker retires
I can think of at least 3 Big Ben throws that deserve to be in this but ill just be happy yall got the important one
That was awesome. Great watch, thank you.
Guy who slipped and fell and still threw it perfectly was the best one
One of the best throws that I didn't see here was a Seahawks-Chiefs game from the 80s, where Derrick Thomas had a season's worth of sacks in one game, wrapped up Dave Krieg on the last play of the game, but Krieg spun out of it and threw a TD into traffic. An excellent compilation though.
A lot of these are great plays by the receiver... either adjusting to the throw or making a crazy catch. I have a hard time calling any throw into double or triple coverage "great" just because the receiver caught it.
Anyway I can’t believe the Randall Cunningham to Jake Reed pass against the Bucs isn’t on here. Right in the breadbasket from 60 yards away with Reed giving Brian Kelly a piggyback ride.
@@untexan Ah but what Randall did from his end zone and in intense heat on that play - 24:59.
You're 100% right on that many of these plays were just great leaping receptions, and I suspect they weren't precisely aimed for a superextension catch like Romo would do with Dez, or any QB great fade pass execution (but again, think Romo :) ).
Manning to Manningham is the greatest throw of all time
Fitz head getting ripped off, and still connecting on a DIME. Talk about "no look pass!"
4:57 sounds like the commentator was about to start rapping on the beat
that pass of mahomes literally in mid-air on super bowl against Tampa would be the craziest touchdown ever.
I know it's one of the most iconic plays in history, but putting Montana's throw to Clark as the final one was disappointing. That was legitimately the least impressive throw in the entire video lol.
Shame there are no Stafford highlights on the run pressure in his face threading the needle in quadruple coverage and you see Tom Brady in a clean pocket to a wide open receiver 😂😂😂
3:00 Me: does the same thing in madden
Madden: best i can do is 5 yards and an interception
FR🤣🤣🤣
This is OP's favorite Aaron Rodgers throws
I’m lucky enough to say I got to witness two throws in this video in person. Unfortunately they were against my team
12:22 This Elway throw is underappreciated. He threw 45 yards down field but also 45 yards across the field. The hypotenuse of that throw is 65 yards. Not too many QBs have the confidence to make that throw. And you thought you would never use algebra after high school. Lol
