I have a subscriber who was stationed at the old Subic Bay Navel Base. I was given a flash drive with over 1,500 photos dating back as far as 1945 - 1991. I wanted to share these photos with the world. To me this is history of not only the Philippines but also U.S.A. military involvement here in The Philippines.

Awesome video! I was at Subic on my first ship in '86. Many times in Olongapo and Clark before Pinatubo. Thanx for sharing that
I remember my first visit to Olongapo in 1963 was stationed on a DDG port visit. Remember that bridge was alot smaller and that river was a ditch then (maybe)? exchange rate was 5 to one and only allowed to wear uniforms and back on base by midnite "Cinderella Liberty".
Makes me want to go back in time! The girls look evan prettier back then.

Hello. At the 9 minute in mark...in #2. There she was, the AFDM-5. Floating Drydock was stationed there in '79-'81. Ship Repair Facility (SRF) SUBIC BAY!! Thanks for the memories Brian.

Pictures starting at 6:37 to 10:43, I’m the Photographer of those pictures. Each picture tells an interesting story. I believe the person who gave you the thumb drive. He got the pictures from Subic Bay Marines web site. Thanks for presenting my pictures on your outstanding CZcams channel. I love your hard nose style & taking no trash from the haters. Please continue with your channel. I also have a small CZcams channel - JR IN ASIA. I have tons of Philippines picture starting March 1999 but I still have a long way to complete my CZcams project. On 5 September I will return to the Philippines. Hopefully 9 & 10 September I will visiting some of VFW buddies at VFW Post 2485. A little history of myself. I was station at Alpha Company Marine Barracks Subic Bay from June 1978 to December 1981. Before that I was deploy with 1st Battalion, 9th Marines from February to April 1977 at Subic Bay. I love the Philippines.

Was a Corpsman stationed at the NAS Cubi Point Medical Clinic 75-77, and lived in the Navy Barracks directly across the parking lot from the Main Entrance to the Company B Barracks and my blue 74 VW Karman Ghia with me and had a great time there.
I was HN,TAD at the Dispensary, in 86' Tad there for a mos, waiting for my new ship, the Knox .. In / out of there a lot, with the Midway .. Man, those were the days .. I passed on orders there .. Not sure I would have survived, haha ..

Wasn't sure, I served on the LSD-33, USS ALAMO.
It was the Parsons. Spent 3yrs on that ship.we went to Subic quite regular from Yokosuka.
