Hi Christy. A few years ago I packed a lot of these shoes. I put them tops together heel of one to the toe of the other. I then put them into a long narrow shrink wrap bag, the kind you shrink with a hairdryer. Once you shrink the bag they are held together tightly and fit along the side of the OCC plastic shoebox. You can still fit a soccer ball or water bottle plus school supplies ect. I sent all 3 sizes. I'm thinking that I may have put rubber bands around them just to initially hold them together before I put them in the bag, but I can't remember for sure. It is a challenge to fit as much as we love to send in each box when packing a larger item, but these shoes surely are a quality item if given to the right child. Thank you for all you and Michelle do to educate us about OCC. I am the OCC coordinator for our church and try as I do to educate our people, so many still don't get it. I purchase extra, quality items and school supplies, and fill up any empty spaces so no box leaves our church half empty. As per our pastor every one is filled to the top. We won't pass our problems on to the processing center, they already have enough to deal with. Every child deserves our best! Jesus doesn't have favorites, He loves us all fully! God bless you!!!

I read several articles about these shoes saying that they have lasted 3 to 5 years . I'm planning on buying some for 2025. I'm already stocked up on supplies and wow items for 2024

I sent these, used rubber bands when packing, was able to fit shoes, & soccer ball along with other items as will in a standard occ shoebox

Great! Thanks Sonya❤️ I am going to try them in shoeboxes and see how much room they take up. They do look long lasting 😊

Hi Christy. Yes, we have sent this shoe several times, especially to the 2-4 boys, 5-9 boys, and 10-14 boys. We like that it has been tested to last at least 5 years. Our grandson went running in them and thought they were comfortable. It is a very well made shoe, and often the children need black shoes for school. My sister and brother in law have been in PNG for 22 years and think this shoe is fabulous for third world country terrain. Plus the children can wear socks with the shoe, or share the shoe with siblings if the family cannot afford shoes for all the children.

My spatial genius of a husband finds it easiest to pack them by placing items inside the shoes, like we do with water bottles.

We have sent several pairs last year in our boxes. They do take up slot of room but I think they are worth it. At $20 if they last 3 years that is a bargain.

Thank you, Deborah! And they could be passed to siblings since they are so durable. I like how sturdy they are for sure.

I have not heard of or purchased these adjustable shoes before. They are definitely something to consider. They look like they are great quality. The price is a little high unless they could be considered the WOW gift. They likely take up a lot of room in a standard OCC box too, but with all the crazy things happening in the world shoes might be the gift they are praying for. Happy Easter! Sorry to hear about the delay in getting your puppy. Good things come to those who wait.

Thank you for your input, Linda. I’m going to pack them before I make my decision. You’re right! Some children may be praying for shoes! Thank you for your kind words. I can’t wait to share her with everybody! Happy Easter!

Much higher quality than a flip flop, medically better for foot development and no shin damage compared to long term use of flip flops, longer lasting than a flip flop (more environmentally friendly), fosters growth and employment in Kenya, transparent charitable organization. Hands down I would and have put these in shoeboxes and will continue to do so. I personally do not pack flip flops.
