Create a Hand Rig in After Effects | Tutorial

In this After Effects tutorial, I’ll show you how to create a hand rig without plug ins. We use the Create Nulls from Paths script and the linear expressions. It makes animating fingers much easier and quicker.

I've always loved your workflows. I might have to jump in and take the course - expressions are def my downfall, I have the worst memory when it comes to expressions so I've basically hoarded a very long txt document with them all. haha. But It's def a hassle trying to work through them when I need.

Yes, each finger is linked to a slider control. You don't have to use a Null object, I think it's easier to have all expression controls in one place though.

@@latestcolors.w Then it’s the script. It seems the Nulls aren’t linked to the path points. You selected the path of the pointer finger to create the Nulls? Maybe it’s a preview thing? Have you emptied your cache in the presets?
