This was great. Like the other commentator said I haven’t heard Shadows live. I remember when I finally made it to a concert and they played Friends of Money. I was with a friend and she was like what is this song and she was shocked that I was singing along and knew all the words. I was too because I didn’t even remember that I knew it, total muscle memory. My reply was “I guess I’m just more of a Duranie than you are”…lol
The thing that makes Friends of Mine so good is when they go from the A sus chord at the end of the verse to the chorus in G Major. It sounds so good. It's like relief or something.
I love this performance. SOYS isn't an easy song to sing or to play, and they make it look (and sound) so easy. They take it at a pretty fast clip too! I love how the audience is singing in parts! SLB sounds phenomenal. I would love to hear this in higher quality sound.
Absolutely Brilliant took three generations of my family to see DD Dublin in June still as good today as they where back then. Love Simon got a great sense humour.

What a band!! I have loved them since they first arrived on the newly launched MTV I rediscovered them in the 90’s when I heard Come undone on an alternative rock station .. I was instantly readdicted RE- rediscovered them last week when I went down the Duran Duran rabbit hole and revisited everything ..and it struck me how brilliant they actually are .. it was pretty mind blowing after I listened to nothing but the Duran Duran and Tears For Fears catalogs on shuffle all week ..2 of the best 80’s era band and out of this world vocalists Soooo good Simon has unbelievable stage presence live performance .. they are still on 🔥🔥🔥 can’t wait to see them in September These guys are a Chameleons of audio visual art I love dark Duran Duran, punky funky Duran Duran,goosebump inducing Duran Duran,classic Duran Duran .. unpredictable Duran Duran 😎😎
To be fair, the majority of songs they played were not from their usual concert setlist. I can’t blame him for having to refer to the lyrics now and again. It didn’t detract from the show, and I thought it was quite clever how they incorporated it into the concert.
