Very informative. For international students there is also an International Student Services where you can hang out and chill with other students from all over the world. Word of caution Manitobans are friendly and their friendliness is contagious so be prepared for that.

It feels like high school with that laid back culture of UoW. There are so many Asians in Manitoba so I guess there are a lot of Asians in Red River College and University of Manitoba.

@@shresthashrestha1991 I'm an economics student and have taken some compsci courses. From my experience and from fellow students it's pretty good. I think it's important to consider the alternatives, I recommend looking at course catalogs, try to understand what area you want to specialize in, and choose a school based on if you believe it will be satisfactory for your goals. UofW does have quite a range of compsci courses including things like Python and Machine Learning; it should be noted that UofW also has a Masters program for CS. Professors in general at UofW are personable.
