Tory’s Hopes Pinned On Blaming Immigration To Distract From Brexit Black Hole

  • The combination of a good news day for the government, a Sunak/Hunt media blitz and an unusually timed Cabinet meeting at 4pm today have triggered a fresh bout of chatter that Sunak might, just might, be about to fire the starting gun for a general election.
Andrew Pierce invoked immigration bashing on GMB and surely looks like a distraction attempt.
Tory peer (and close friend of David Cameron) Danny Finkelstein poured some fuel on the fire last night, telling his podcast he had “picked up a bit of talk in government circles” that given things are unlikely to get much better this autumn, Sunak might as well get on with it now. Let’s hope so!
On the other hand: Finkelstein went on to say that he doesn’t think a summer election will actually happen. And Downing Street is sticking to the line that the government’s “working assumption” is that a vote will be held in the second half of the year - though that’s hardly going to dampen speculation, given July is in the second half of the year!

One of the reasons the NHS is under pressure is because we have an aging population who need more healthcare. These are the very people the Tories are going to try and scare into voting for them. Let's hope they don't fall for it again like they did with Brexit, because the very people that will be needed to care for them will not be allowed into the country under the Tories.
Let's hope that during this coming campaign that Labour hammer home just what damage the Tories have done to the NHS. Because no matter what lies the Tories may say about the NHS nobody believes them anymore.
It's time for the people of this country to get rid of the Tories and if that means tactical voting to make sure they get as few seats as possible then so be it. If there is a viable opposition candidate then forget your party allegiance vote for that candidate. If you are a Tory with a shred of decency and you live in a safe Tory seat but cannot see yourself voting for any party of the left then either stay at home or vote for a candidate who will water the Tory vote down so somebody else can get elected.

In 6 weeks time I will be 60, in my lifetime the population of the UK has doubled, the percentage of the population not born here has remained the the entire time. Far from being a burden on our public services immigrants have helped keep those services running despite decades of underfunding, the money they spend also keeps thousands of other businesses from going bust due to the current cost of Tory crisis we're going through & the damage to the economy from brexit.

The inept Sunak called his election to the tune of Labour's anthem 'Things can only get better!' and meanwhile the heavens opened and God 'peed' on him.
What would he give for an umbrella? Surely someone could have walked out with one. No, drowned.
