Tory’s Hopes Pinned On Blaming Immigration To Distract From Brexit Black Hole

- The combination of a good news day for the government, a Sunak/Hunt media blitz and an unusually timed Cabinet meeting at 4pm today have triggered a fresh bout of chatter that Sunak might, just might, be about to fire the starting gun for a general election.
Andrew Pierce invoked immigration bashing on GMB and surely looks like a distraction attempt.
Tory peer (and close friend of David Cameron) Danny Finkelstein poured some fuel on the fire last night, telling his podcast he had “picked up a bit of talk in government circles” that given things are unlikely to get much better this autumn, Sunak might as well get on with it now. Let’s hope so!
On the other hand: Finkelstein went on to say that he doesn’t think a summer election will actually happen. And Downing Street is sticking to the line that the government’s “working assumption” is that a vote will be held in the second half of the year - though that’s hardly going to dampen speculation, given July is in the second half of the year!

It will take Labour years to repair 14 years of Conservative rule, every month they stay in power will make the job even harder.
Labour can start with getting all the PPE money back and putting thieves in prison.
You think they can sort it out? lol
@@Jimbo_LB well at least we think, you just spout what your masters tell you to, troll.
Come on farmers wake up. Support a party that helps you.
Brexit is dying off almost as quickly as some of the elderly voters who were “persuaded” to think that it was a good idea to leave the largest trading bloc in the world to be able to eat and drink sovereignty*.
* You can’t.
Just a shame Streeting's gagged from calling out the catastrophe of Brexit!
Unfortunately Brexit is poisonous labour have to stay away from it or the media will destroy them it's going to take time until everyone realises what a disaster Brexit is 😎👍
"Tories Hope To Blame Immigration" Well that puts the Irish on the back burner, for a change!!
And the Germans, the French, the Club med countries, the EU, the Polish..
Well, the list goes on and on.
One of the reasons the NHS is under pressure is because we have an aging population who need more healthcare. These are the very people the Tories are going to try and scare into voting for them. Let's hope they don't fall for it again like they did with Brexit, because the very people that will be needed to care for them will not be allowed into the country under the Tories.
Let's hope that during this coming campaign that Labour hammer home just what damage the Tories have done to the NHS. Because no matter what lies the Tories may say about the NHS nobody believes them anymore.
It's time for the people of this country to get rid of the Tories and if that means tactical voting to make sure they get as few seats as possible then so be it. If there is a viable opposition candidate then forget your party allegiance vote for that candidate. If you are a Tory with a shred of decency and you live in a safe Tory seat but cannot see yourself voting for any party of the left then either stay at home or vote for a candidate who will water the Tory vote down so somebody else can get elected.
In 6 weeks time I will be 60, in my lifetime the population of the UK has doubled, the percentage of the population not born here has remained the the entire time. Far from being a burden on our public services immigrants have helped keep those services running despite decades of underfunding, the money they spend also keeps thousands of other businesses from going bust due to the current cost of Tory crisis we're going through & the damage to the economy from brexit.
@@peterholden3672 Good point Sir. But no doubt DUNCAN-SMITH would have me planting "tatties" from the comfort of my wheelchair. Which I would willingly do, if the bastard was pushing me ! lol
You are a better journalist than the journalists. Love you Liz. Farm on!
I too was delighted to hear Wes Streeting on the TP show. Particularly impressive was the way he failed to remember the 6 fundamental Labour points. Sharp as a banana that Streeting
I couldn't believe it when itv reported this £30b black hole as a labour problem! And then went on to say that 30000 people would be getting £2million each not a black hole in sight!? 🤷🏻♀️
Magic money trees do exist
Was that not compo for infected blood? Don’t you think they are entitled to it?
@@Jimbo_LB of course they do! The point is it's a similar amount to the "black hole" but is anyone reporting that it is going to cause a government spending meltdown?
Timing is everything.
The inept Sunak called his election to the tune of Labour's anthem 'Things can only get better!' and meanwhile the heavens opened and God 'peed' on him.
What would he give for an umbrella? Surely someone could have walked out with one. No, drowned.
Thankfully we only have a month and a bit more before he is gone.
Edit: Shades of Theresa May, with her voice failing and the letters falling off the wall behind.
4th July, our chance for change is here. 🍾
Your chance to free yourselves from the tyranny of the British! Declare your Independence!
It is almost too funny.
There we go Liz. An election and hopefully a fresh start for farmers.
I hope I don’t see any of them with Vote Conservative posters on their land or they will lose public sympathy.
it's about time we understand that we are an island we need immigration and to import food
We have millions of immigrants that never work, commit crimes and deal drugs. How does that solve a labour shortage
Thank you for your hard work Liz ✊ would love to see you having a chat with Carol Vorderman about the Tory economy and how it affects our food security.
Through history strong women have always been able to bring about meaningful change when weak men have failed!
It was strong women that brought about child poverty laws in the middle of world war 2 and I’m sure it will be strong women leading the change for food security and economic reform as well!✊.
"SNATCHER THATCHER" and others you mean ?

14 more years!
How’s that for a slogan 😂
Thanks for your common sense, Liz. Go well with your farm this summer.
On 4 july we want uk back
What is happening in Europe right now is not even being reported here in the UK by MSM. It is definitely a case of, "I see no ships!"
I strongly recommend that you investigate it for yourself and draw your own conclusions from your findings.
How much money has been wasted on the Bibby Stockholm? OK, I know allof it has, but how many millions of our money. Yours and mine.
The plan the plan the plan dear lord.........kick them out.
Your introduction is spot-on as always!
Well done liz its time a politician explained we have a serious demographic problem with a ageing population not enough working people we have a consumption based economy without working people we are in big trouble time to face facts 😎👍
On 4 july we want our star back
you cannot have your star back by voting for it. UK does not comply with the criteria to make a successful application to start the accession process for membership in EU. Is the population ready to join the Scgengen area, adopt the Euro, lower the debt by 50% and work for closer political economic and monetary union in EU? Those are all in the Copenhagen Criteria and non negotiable if UK wants to join.
Baby baymers and scape gayting ! lol...posh birds !
I find it difficult to stomach Wes Streeting at the best of times tbh …
bit of a scruffy dressesr and his accent must hurt your ears.

Liz, can you tell us more about the "improved" SFI offer? And how deregulation of some planning laws will help tenant farmers?

@@lizwebstersbf . I thought so,,good answer)
No real difference it seems between the 2 parties. No mention of Brexit causing this staff shortage.
And we were just starting to get stuff done here!. I even saw some pot holes being filled yesterday. Amazing what a looming election can deliver isnt it. It took fourteen years, but I suppose Rome wasn't built in a day was it!.
So how will you vote? One pot hole a summer does not make.
@@nicks4934 I will be voting as I have done for fifty years. LABOUR. But as the economy is in such a piss poor mess don't expect much to alter very quickly!. 😒🤔.....

Japan is the prime example of a modern, wealthy, technologically advanced society which is rapidly ageing but allows very little immigration. As in Britain (and Europe generally), Japan has major structural problems which nobody is prepared to address - in case it upsets the widespread anti-foreigner sentiment.
Yep.... Must be brexit.

Is it not clear enough or is it volume?
I just can't see a July election happening , it wouldn't be representative as many people will be abroad.
I think an autumn GE is much more likely, whichever way the Tories know they're burnt toast.
If labour manage to stay in power for 3 terms the Tories could be finished forever because of demographics.
OH IT IS NOT MY FAULT AFTER ALL !! ....thank you Liz for speaking the truth...to late for me I left a year ago and will never return......I do NOT HATE Britain....(it was 38 years) but for me and many EU Citizens it was beyond the pale

The shadow secretary really needs some training in producing clear, credible and attractive arguments. Or, perhaps the labour should just replace him. Might be easier and more productive.
Maybe Sunak can give him lessons, would that make you happy?
