to think we did the Grand Slam that year. This was really close ! It must have been heartbreaking as a welsh fan. Betsen & Rougerie were the MVPs of the French squad for those last minutes.
Ne rien lâcher jusqu’au bout. De chaque côté. De belles valeurs.
I forgot Steve Hanson coached them
That was a great clip. Thanks for the upload
Amazing to see how muxh more precise passing has become over the last 2 decades
Outstanding referee
OMG!!!!! Là c'était vraiment à deux doigts..............
Ahhh! Baggy heavy cotton sweat like a bastard shirts. Wonderful days
I am not suggesting that David McHugh favoured one side more than the other, but he is not of Test Match standard and never has been. He’s not biased, just poor.
@@TPH250290 Some are obvious whilst others are more difficult to spot. Just have a good look at the video.
Last minute madness eh?
On balance, that Quinnell effort was probably a try and one more TV angle would probably have shown it.
Brilliant rugby ! 💎
Toughness and skill all the way.
Sadly, with the changes to the Rules of the Game, this sort of wonderful finish is NO LONGER POSSIBLE.....

Absolutely. I'm of a generation often criticised for looking back to the 70s with rose tinted specs but this shows that even 20 years ago the game was far more entertaining. Modern rules, risk averse greedy governing bodies and excessive use of technology have turned rugby from the most thrilling spectacle into a stale, predictable series of set plays interrupted every couple of minutes by the refs whistle!
Heartbreaking.
@@robertlawrence7958 I played rugby for my SYDNEY GRAMMAR SCHOOL First XV and for Sydney Uni Law team as a fast and hard hitting winger.
But the best game I ever played was for SYDNEY UNI LIONS as a cornerback in the NSW 'gridiron' comp. Was I good?
@@markdowse3572 Yes.
It's one of the hardest positions to play in American Football - if not THE hardest.
