Don’t trust the John Werry translations bro. Sukuna’s twin is Jin Itadori, which makes Yuji his nephew. Also, Sukuna must have known who Yuji was once he was eaten since he had access to all of Yuji’s memories. Plus with sukuna and yuji sharing a body he must’ve felt that their souls were similar, so Sukuna has probably known rough relation since episode 2.
I think Sukuna saw the memories of Jin at Chapter 143 and realized it after chapter 214.
The “Yuji is Sukuna’s twin” mistranslation wasn’t John Werry. It was a mistranslation on the leaker’s part, one that they admitted to and fixed.

Considering that Sukuna operates on the philosophy of “Might means/equals right”, and pretty much thinks “losing = death, winning = life”.............then if he loses, then he *has* to accept it, and can blame no one but himself. Ergo, his philosophy will come back to bite him in the backside if Yuji manages to eek out a win here, and thus has no reason to look worried because of it; he made his bed, so he gets to lay in it, end of story. 😤
I mean....at first you can explain why Sukuna looks a hell of a lot like Yuji because they shared a body, but when Sukuna moves bodies, they STILL look similar.

Now that we know the technique (amongst other subtle hints) it can also be seen as a hint towards what his technique was going to be. But like... who would've thought about that with this scene? Also since the text said as of now Yuji only has 2 cursed techniques, hinting that he will have more. Maybe the black box that Sukuna learned was a technique he picked up from his twin brother after he consumed him, and that Yuji has that cursed technique ingrained in him
He could possibly inherit his mother's cursed technique, or something entirely different that could put him in his own league
So he's going to have his own shrine technique with scissors instead of slashes, blood manipulatoin and his mothers gravity technique, jjk is def going to end with yuji becoming the strongest and dying stopong the merger.
