  • A review of the set-and-forget quick carbonation system from Blichmann Engineering. Hook it up to a keg of flat beer, come back 30-40 minutes later, and your beer should be perfectly carbonated. Here's how it works.

Nicely done. I have done that with the picnic tap TOO MANY times. I do find that I like to run mine for a full hour, and slightly purge the keg pressure about half way through. Keep up the good work! Subbed! looking forward to more from your channel. Cheers! 🍻

Short Circuited Brewers thanks! Good tip with the keg pressure purge, I'll give that a try on the next one to make sure I'm getting a full carbonation.

I just wish there was a toggle switch for the pump. I would personally splice one into the power line.

Work well but can leak badly. Pump fittings in SS would be great. Just so one can crank down those clamp fittings tight.

hello, I used this Quickcarb to carbonate my beer, but when bottled (with a BeerGun) I get too much foam in the bottle and almost no beer, after finally filling the bottle I tap it. And when I try my beer it does not have almost gas or sometimes nothing ...... do you have any advice that can help me with this? I would greatly appreciate it :)...... nice videoo and hi from Colombia

Hello there! I only have experience with kegging. I find it useful to bleed the keg while the QuickCarb is running which gets a bit more gas into the beer. Then let the beer settle for a while and check the carbonation level. If you are getting foaming it might be worth checking both the beer and the bottles are cold when filling.

Cheers for the video!! Man I am struggling to find the coupler for my Co2 regulator (its barbed), can you share some thoughts with me?

What is the pump rate in the carb process?

so after brew day how long did the beer ferment and how long did it spend in the Keg before running the Blichman QuickCarb?

The beer stayed in the carboy for around 3 weeks I believe. It was then cold crashed transferred to kegs, and the QuickCarb was applied immediately after kegging.

Nah thanks, I can do that by shaking the keg. I love to spend money on things that I don't need normaly, but that won't see the colour of my sterling 😬
