  • This video describes how to reinstall a hydrostatic belt on a John Deere series 100 lawn tractor that has come off the drive pulley. When this happens, the tractor will not move forward or backward when the pedals are depressed. D110, D125, D130, D140, D155

Learned a great tip for these tensioner springs. Use a small dog leash. Use the mestal hook end to put on the hook oh the spring. Set it in place then pull the opener on the clasp. Works like a charm

Thanks to your video I realized the pin at the rear of my riding mower must have gotten pulled out by a tree branch I drove past.

I used the 6mm hex with a flexible right angle adapter with my impact driver. took 5 seconds to take the stud out and reinstall.

On the funky bolt, I found to be a nemesis. Actually quicker for me to lower the transmission.

Excellent video thanks. Sometimes you can use a shoestring to pull those springs back into place.

All you had to do is lock the parking brake to take tension off the belt

Someone else suggested that a while back. I had no idea! When this happens again, and it probably will, that will be the first thing I try. Thanks!
