    This looks great! Congratulations! I'm a coffee roaster in Alaska, and just started a coffee and donut trailer this summer. It was more work than I ever imagined, but also so rewarding. I look forward to future videos.

    Awesome! Maybe I missed it but what are you using to generate power? that 2 grouphead LM machine uses a lot of wattage. Again, congrats! I'm in the planning stages of starting a espresso cart/coffee catering business of my own.

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  Před rokem +2

      Good luck to you! It sure does pull a lot of power, but I couldn't imagine trying to run our markets on a single group so it has been worth it. We have to bring two generators and run them in parallel to keep everything running. It's a little extra work, but 100% worth it so people don't have long wait times!

    For your drawers and cabinets you could always use child proof latches? But I’m also sure there are tons of camper type latches. That you for the view of your trailer, it’s amazing! It’s been my dream to own a coffee shop for over a decade and I’ve been looking into doing it mobile bc it’s more flexible and cheaper to start. How much all together did it cost? I was thinking I could start one for $15k but not sure if that is to low.

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  Před rokem +1

      If you are handy you could absolutely work within that budget. It also depends what you want to offer. Keep in mind you can always expand your offerings - some trucks start with cold brew and drip so they don't have to invest in an espresso machine right away which is always an option.

      We have a bosch for our hot water heater (3 gallon). We use flo jets as a pump from our water jugs to our pitcher rinser and the pump for our espresso machine came with our La Marzocco. I will have to double check what pump we have for our sinks.

    Does your grinder stay consistent with the weather temperature or do you have to constantly keep watch if the grind. Btw good job! It takes a lot to get started and flowing.

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  Před rokem

      Weather is always an issue being in Michigan, and I do notice a difference from event to event, but I have found this grinder to remain fairly consistent throughout my events. I usually only have to dial in when I first open. Most of my events are 2-4 hours so there isn't too much of a temperature difference in that timeframe!

  • @trinity2601
    @trinity2601 Před rokem

    I have never pulled a trailer and that is something that scares me but really wanted to do something similar for the past few years. Was it hard to learn how to pull a trailer, did you ever do it before doing this? I pulled a kid trailer on my bike and, my poor daughter, I hit a curb and it fell over. She was mostly fine, physicalLy, but to this day, 8 years later, won’t ride a bike, lol. So that is my biggest fear with a coffee trailer so was curious what your thoughts on that matter are. Lol! This is really cool and amazing, I hope it is a crazy huge success! 😊

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  Před rokem

      Thank you so much! Before starting this business I had never pulled a trailer. It is a bit of a learning curve so make sure you have someone who knows what they are doing teach you how to properly set up/tow safely, but if you take it slow you'll get the hang of it. I suggest practicing parking and backing in/driving around in a parking lot first. You just need to be a bit more mindful of others on the road, because as you can imagine they don't love driving behind a trailer so expect to be cut off lol - the more you drive the easier it gets! Just go at your own pace :)
