I bought a mi smartphone that was released in year 2018 to 2019, it has it’s OS in Chinese version and was bought from a Chinese store in mainland China so that mean it has the certificate of CCP rulings on a sticker at back of the phone. Now CZcams and Play Store has been sabotaged by hackers or the CCP govt itself ! , there’s no way to fix, may need to reset the phone’s OS, so much hassles, I am expecting an update from Mi company and it could takes not just a month, but few months! CZcams only works through use of web browser, youtube standalone app no longer able connect to the WiFi, Play Store is to get all sorts of softwares installed if it’s been deleted or removed, it too failed to run or connect to the WiFi, all other softwares works on the phone.
Still waiting for the Smart Speaker link update!
I really love how Xiaomi has a really clean, minimalistic design. They look so good!
Do you also love how they so elegantly hoover up all your personal data and watch you in your home, then feed it directly to the PRC? Or that part doesn't bother you?
Yeah but it sucks that there stuff doesn't work with Google.
@豐haslan It's not so simple as you make it out to be. Privacy should be a much bigger priority to consumers.

Such a little detail in your video but the amount of frustration I've had in the past from watching reviews or Google commercials that activate my google just kill me. You're amazing! We don't appreciate Xiaomi enough. They make premium technology - affordable! I have had only good experiences with MI products so far.

The thing is you don't need hub for most of the helpful devices :robot, kettle, purifier...theres even a version of thermometer with display which does not require hub but still connects to Android app. On the other hand, hub is required for sensors and smart socket.

I got the dreametech D9 robot vac (Xiaomi brand) on sale $159 with the mopping. Looks identical to yours. Comes in clutch with a German Shepard. Especially right now with the season changing and her fur coming out. I got this one because of the Siri shortcut and I been in the HomeKit ecosystem since fibaro and koogeek where a thing.

Hi. If I have a loft. In my bedroom . The size is roughly 44sqm. Will it be better to put the air purifier downstairs or at the loft?. The loft height is as tall that a person whose 5'11 could comfortably stand up. And it's pretty open.

Have you figured a way to turn on the alarm system automatically? For example, if my Mi Watch is out of bluetooth area provided by the Hub, the alarm turns on? Can the system sense when I'm at home and when I'm out?

You can try the smart Led light strip (for desk, behind the tv , kitchen, etc.) - you need color in that gray interior ;)
I have color lights in there. Just looks cleaner for daytime. I have a full setup for movies 😎

The c20 security cam will not record to sim card unless you hit record button on theit dashboard. You only get still pictures and when you go event it says video only available with subscription why then video card. it also doesn't work with mi home unless region is set to china, doesn't make any sense.

There are many people said Xiaomi smart speaker is not very sensitive to Hey Google. Not sure if you have encountered this problem before.

How did you get access to the products , because it sem most of it is not available at amazon and you have to buy more than 5 on those chinese websites.

I have the original bedside lamp (gold base) and when I first got it, I could control on/off, brightness and colour via voice control with Google Home.
Now I can't control colour via Google Home. Voice requests respond with "doesn't have that functionality" and the Google Home app doesn't show a colour selector.
I suspect it was the last firmware update as LAN control is missing in the Yeelight app (you have to use this app, not the Mi Home app for LAN control).
Wrote to Xiaomi and their response was "not all their products work with 3rd party companies eg Google" even though told them that it did work previously.
Makes you wary about future purchases if voice control functionality can be lost at any time in the future.
That's basically the biggest issue with smart tech. At one point its functionality either gets reduced, or the device becomes unsupported entirely, turning it into e-waste.

i dont have one but you can have it turn on when you wake up so you can go straight to tea or whatever
@@max3dxx Assuming that you left enough water in it the last time you used it, that would be a use-case, I guess. But my kettle boils enough water for a cup of tea in around one minute. So I don't even see the time-saving as a reason to get it.

I’m an Apple HomeKit house. Not interested in non-HomeKit, non-thread products.
There are a few that are HomeKit compatible. The Lamp 2 definitely works.
