“Bigger than music”. I know exactly what you mean. Their albums took me to another place when I heard them. As a young boy listening to them for the first time. All the stories to get lost in. Harmonies to bathe in. Awesome. Great reaction.

I think your have to listen to the studio as well as the Live versions - this is the version of the song that was in Freddie’s head. This is genius and shows how they were masters of the studio. The live versions are stripped down to what they could do onstage with just the four of them - not worse - in a few cases, better, but Different. And each should be listened to an appreciated for what they were. And every live performance is different, which is part of the reason why they were, in Freddie’s words, never boring.

100% agree & it's not just their audio genius in the studio. They put a lot into their visuals. Too many great ones to name all, but I'll say; NOBODY should miss seeing the official I Want To Break Free vid. Likewise, without the official vid, you wouldn't appreciate that all those people at Live Aid knew the hand claps from Radio Ga Ga.

If you haven't already reacted to it, you should check out Fat Bottomed Girls or Don't Stop Me Now by Queen!! But you can't go wrong with any Queen song. 🔥🔥🔥

Very different IMO and both studio & nearly all live performances are beautiful.
The concert footage was from a concert at Hyde Park, with just 120,000 friends.
Freddie loved this song. Great reaction.

liked your observation that their music seems bigger then music...To me seems like music with so much passion, energy, and precision behind it.

Brilliant song to choose. The live performance is one of the best but this gives you all the harmonies. I would go with “You Take My Breath Away” album version too. Very unique and beautiful Queen song.

They did You take my breath away live at Hyde park, it is a shorter version with just Freddie and his piano. Would make an awesome doubleheader

MY FAVORITE SONG FROM QUEEN! I’ll take this song anyway I can get it!! Freddie loved Aretha Franklin so he was inspired to write it with a gospel sound.
Freddie agrees that Bohemian Rhapsody is a masterpiece but said Somebody to Love was a better song!! He loved it ❤️ Love your comment about Queen’s music is bigger than music!! All members of Queen were masters in their craft. The “Happy Feet” movie used this song!! Again, I’ll take this song anyway it comes including by the animated penguins. 😂

Queen put on a show. back in the 70’s most bands just stood there in the dark. Sometimes with their backs to the crowd. They got the fans to participate in their concerts, they were the 5th member. That’s why Brian wrote “We Will Rock You”.✨You should do some early Queen, “Liar” official video you’ll see how good they were together even back in the 70’s. Then “ In The Lap of The Gods” @ The Rainbow 74 you will enjoy these 2 tracks. Merry Christmas👑

As The Highlander said it: "There can be only one". And Queen is It for me. Musicianship, songwriting, and uh...oh yeah...singing.
Freddies' voice sings me to sleep from my iPod...
An appreciative reaction, very nice 🌟

This was Freddie's favorite song but he didn't like to admit it because he wrote the song and didn't want to appear self-centered.

Another thing..Queen tricks you on the ending..thinking it ends when it doesn't...lol They do that on a few songs. I've seen reactors end a song too soon!
