    YAY! I found the video! I’m a new subscriber and I had seen your system in a few of the videos, so I asked about it. Well, here is the answer to my question. I’m so glad you show us how you run your rabbit area.
    I looked up the bin with the manufacturer # you provided and they are now very expensive: $16 and up to $40, at the end of 2022. You got a great deal with your supplier! I’ll have to find an alternative, as Tennessee is not close enough to San Antonio, to make it worth it.
    God bless you!

      Yeah check FB marketplace. I found a guy selling similar ones for like $10 each, which isn't terrible. You can find something out there if you look hard enough. I'm actually going to be building a platform for these bins here soon to keep them off the ground.

    If you add a solid bin under the bins with holes you can also profit from the urine as well. I really like your bin ideas

    Great Idea , My tropical plants have the biggest leaves because of the Rabbits
    Manure , It’s the best .

  • @guerraespiritualFranciscoGomez

    And easy way to collect both including the pee would be double stocking them and having holes only in the first cage, in the second cage would be collecting pee which also can be sold to farmer.

    I appreciate your video, please consider angled metal roofing that feeds a pitched gutter. There is building involved but I promise that you will be extremely happy you did it.

      I considered that. Making a funnel system. I'm definitely not going to leave it like this. I'm more than likely just going to make a raised platform for these bins. I think a funnel system would require a hose a lot and I don't want to do that.

      I have seem this tried many times and the gutter never works for long. Rabbit turds aren't as round as they look!

    • @mrtennessee6862

      @@michaelripperger5674 it does involve rinsing with water. All farm animals need maintenance and clean up.

    should try some corrugated roofing and angle them into a bin so u dont need so many bins

    • @NicholsCounty
      @NicholsCounty  Před rokem +1

      One bin wouldn't work. The cage system us over 30 feet long, I wouldn't have enough slope, all the manure would just sit on roofing. I'm going to end up raising the cages, when I take them down to clean this summer, to get more of a slope. Might stick with plastic, but I'll see if I can get some metal in there.

    its a neat idea. i would of went full solid, because looks like it is breaking down better. thus the mush. i need to do an indoor system due to the coyotes etc. looking around to try to find a legit way without a green house of keeping them over winter in a barn if i can.

    • @NicholsCounty
      @NicholsCounty  Před rokem +1

      I don't want it to break down. I want pellets rather than aged composted down. Everyone has different uses. We keep our rabbits outside all year long, it doesn't get too cold here in Tennessee.

    I cut 55 gal plastic barrels in half, long ways, drilled holes in the bottom. Works great.

    That's nice. Now where can the rest of us buy those bins?

    • @NicholsCounty
      @NicholsCounty  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Well you can use any bins, just build your collection system around what you have available. If you're local to West Tennessee I'll sell you as many as you'd like.

    Could cutting the botton and adding a screen would work instead of drilling so many holes?

    Just a question is something wrong with using the manure wet

    • @NicholsCounty
      @NicholsCounty  Před rokem +5

      No. I sell/ship rabbit manure, so I need it dry for shipping purposes.

    • @NicholsCounty

      Yes. I'm making a pretty nice one now. I'll have a video up next week. It's outside, but you'd be able to use it inside.
