    Setting the light button to 0 will turn the light off when the door is closed (my preference). I’ll also mention that we thought it was quiet at first, but you can hear a humming while the motor runs. It’s not loud, but I wouldn’t call it quiet either. Getting 51 bottles is achievable, but unlikely if you have champagne or other larger bottles. Overall, I like the fridge.

    Thanks for the review. I just purchased one of these but haven't received it yet and was wondering if anyone else had one. I currently own a 20 year-old Sub Zero. It's great, but I don't feel like spending another $3,000 on another 48 bottle capacity wine cooler.

      I have no humidity issues or condensation build-up with the fridge. I don't know if it has humidity sensors inside it though, you would have to look that up. I live in a city which has a high humidity rate and my house get humid, so I don't like dry storing any wine. Some of my wine is a few years old, but I also don't collect wine for storage for years. Hope that helps.

      @@PUREreviews 50-60% is best to keep the cork from shrinking, or mold growth. The drier the conditions, the more the cork shrinks, and the potential for air infiltration. I think mold is a lot more rare. But I live in a climate that has winter, and that dries the air quickly.

    • @PUREreviews
      @PUREreviews  Před rokem +1

      I am not sure. I can't tell if you remove them by just lifting or if they are attached another way. Mine is full of wine so I don't want to empty it all out. With that said the shelves are slatted so only place you could have bottles upright would be in the middle control panel. I am assuming you are not storing wine so you don't have to worry about keeping the corks moist. Might looks for a fridge designed for upright bottles too.

    I own the same wine cooler and I set both sections to be 55 degree. I have observed that the temperature fluctuates between 49-55. Does your unit keep the temperature with smaller variance?

      I keep the top at 55 and the bottom at 50. I don't have a swing like you are observing. Mine might be off a degree or two before it starts cooling again. I have never had it go 6 degrees colder from what the temp is set at. I used a handheld thermometer when I first got it just to see if it was accurate, which it was. • @PUREreviews

      If your garage gets very hot or very cold I am not sure it would be a good idea. I would think extreme temperatures would be hard on the motor and cost you more money maintaining the cold air inside. If you garage is a even temp and just does not have a ton of air circulation you might be fine as it is designed to be used in a built in application. That is just my thoughts anyway. @PUREreviews  Před 2 lety

      I can fit 9 sparking wine bottles on the bottom when double stacked. 5 on the bottom and 4 resting on the other bottles. You are correct it is not as deep, but when you look at the drawers they are designed to place front to back stagged when using the full depth. The bottom section is only has the depth of one bottle and my sparkling wines fit perfect. The only other place they fit is the very top drawer and only on the front section...not in the back or the drawer does not close. I am a member of Heath Sparkling Wines, so that basically is the one only sparkling wine I really get...but I am sure all the bottles are the same. I just posted some photos of my setup under the Community tab on my channel if you want to see them. I love the fridge still.

I love the fact that this wine fridge has fully extendable drawers with bottles that stack back to back. The bottle storage looks like a hot mess with some on the side and others double stacked. It has been over 10 years so no clue what the price range is now, but mine was still working when I upgraded to the Samsung last year. Does it fit non-Bordeaux bottles (such as Italian wines) to capacity in each row (8 per row), staggered like you have them in the video?

    • @PUREreviews
      @PUREreviews  Před 2 lety +1

      Several of the Italian wines I have are the same Bordeaux bottles. With that said, if they are wider than a normal Bordeaux bottle I would say no. For Example, I can fit 4 sparking champagne bottles in the front, but I can't put 4 additional champagne bottles in the back (total of 8). However I can have 4 champagne bottles in the front and normal size bottles in the back. It really is a puzzle game if you have wider bottles. If that is a majority of your collection I would plan on not maximizing all the space.
