  • In this series of videos I'm adjusting the idle mixture screws on each cylinder to find an optimum idle. I have just synchronized the carbs so this is the next step in tuning my bike up to get it on the road for the first time in 10 years.

    Out of curiosity, did you get any video of setting the timing and what it took to get through it? I'm having trouble getting the points for cylinders 3&4 adjusted such that both the timing and gap are correct. Same bike, 1978 GL1000.

      Mine has an electronic ignition, so I don't have experience setting points.
