She’s got it really at 27. Very wise for her age.
Agree
Past generations made it very easy to be "very wise". Just don't do the same dumb shit they all did. Could almost call it "common sense"
Im 22 and I think the same.
I’m 16 and I can agree
I’m 7 years old I agree
i enjoy the fact that she said traveling was a privilege
Travelling is a choice and not a privilege.
I think because the cost, many can't travel, need to pay for food and rent 1st
@@lindajones9304 Maybe the days of travelling cheaply by staying at hostels or homestays and ride sharing are gone.
@@SamStone1964 Bruh why the fuck would you travel knowing you are broke, could work for some money to go on a trip but to just take a week off of work to travel somewhere else but be in the same or worse conditions? People travel to learn and relax not spend money they don’t have to feel broke in another state
@@SamStone1964 they are bro. Since time too.
I think we need to intentionally make time for happiness everyday. I was raised with the mindset of always thinking about the long-term and making (financial etc) sacrifices today for a better "tomorrow" but that is such a lie. I am now unlearning a lot of that and trying to not be guilty about spending on things/experiences that make me happy. It's a mindset!
Right it's a hard balance to think about the future while acting on the knowledge, that it doesn't really exist..
Im raised to this mindset too
Any advice?
@@chilliemadness6841 I think it is subjective, I would recommend just analysing your behaviour and questioning why you take decisions the way you do. Therapy can help too if you can afford it! Its a life long journey really..
@@arshthescene do you admire David goggins unbalance mindset?
@@chilliemadness6841 Humorous advice passed on to me, bc I worked too many hours, was you never see a hearse pulling a U-haul
🤣😂🤣
Making memories and exposure to different cultures is a true BLESSING.
Wow, I really loved her take on the question. I couldnt agree more
This is why I like those random street interviews because you can get any great advice from anyone. This young lady just did that. ❤❤❤
I like peaceful life, neither happy nor unhappy, just peace. Happiness is a relative thing.
I agree...peace is everything.
agreed
Agreed
Peace is also relative ..... Unfortunately we live in a dual reality ... No day without night, no peace without strife ..... Just be an observer .... Removed from reality ...
LOL ..... Easier said than done
Isnt peaceful happy?
Great advise..do not let a house purchase chain you to a job you hate.
Yes. Hate my job. But financial stability makes me happy.
I work until 6 and I hate my job for a year and I'm terrible I got into deep depression and other things. I quit in december and I can slowly find my happiness again.
Personal happiness is more important than materialistic things, we living on borrowed time
You are so right , none of the things matter , honestly. You need any hygiene products ..fine ,.some clothes ..but the rest won't matter. You'll just have more stuff when you go
Everyone’s idea of “happy” and happiness is different.
Short and sweet answer. You get an "A"
Agreed. I love that she's intentionally thinking of what would make her happy though. Lots of us follow what's most common/desired in society without thinking of it would make us truly happy. 😊
Hell yeah, I think so. If you’re paid well and have enough free time, you can still be happy
I'm 42 and wish I had traveled more when I was in my 20s. I was too concerned with getting an apartment and all new furniture and a brand new car... I could have just stayed in the studio apartment and driven a used car, and put that money towards travel. Now I have kids and lots of bills, and probably can't really travel like I want to until my kids are out of the house.
Travel with them, I have 3 teens I thought the same thing to wait until they get older than time flew by and we went nowhere hardly and now we can't afford to, can't get the time* back!
She’s spot on. I have been off for almost 4 months now by choice and I’m using my time to renovate a house myself. The work is excruciatingly hard and difficult but I am much happier cos I’m doing exactly what I want to do rather than what my boss wants me to do
I didn't know how much I needed to her this.....thank you!
At 33, I decided to chase a dream I had (and also lost along the way) for 17 years. It meant some incredibly huge, and at times challenging, decisions had to be made. I went back to studying, worked for a bit, but knew I needed to take some time off to heal, improve (change) my mental health....which is where I'm at currently.
I question it all of late, and am really grateful I got to hear this today!
I remind myself of something I wrote on my acceptance letter "Dreams really do come true”
i hope you get what you dreamed of ..
best of luck
@@212letliveonearth Thank you so much! 🤗 Receiving your message is reminding me to stay positive, open, and believe that I shall! Best wishes to you for your 2023! 🌟
I like the advice of the young man when he said do your and don’t try to live beyond one’s capacity. Relax and enjoy life!
We forget all the parents out there busting their ass minimum wage, crying behind closed doors, and coming home and be happy just to watch their little ones smile. I think you can be happy with a job you hate, but you would be happier with a job you love and I hope everyone gets to have that and don't have to put up with an awful job
This. If my job paid me enough for my bills AND to save for the future, no matter how miserable it is, I would be happier in general. Working full-time but still struggling to pay your bills is not fun, to say the least
Overpopulating the planet with children and then crying about it is not mandatory.
The unconditional love of your child greeting you at the door upon return. Their sweet smiles saying "I love you" while tucking them in safe for the night is worth all the stress internalized from your less than dream job👪
Smart lady.
But is she happy girl? Yes, she looks happy.
It's good to see somebody talking to people on the street not trying to make them look stupid but intelligent people
The fact that she stated that "traveling is a privilege" is so humbling, she seem very wise for 27
Solid advice.
No, I leave the house at 7 am and come back at 5:30. I am at work more than my own home so NO. If you hate your job how can you still be happy if it consumes you? 😭
you work 10 hours a day which means you still have 14 hours at home.
asuming you work 6 days a week it would amount to 108 hours of free time.
if we take away 9 hours of sleep a day you are still left 43 hours of free time in a week.
I would not confuse “not at work” time as “free time”
43 isn’t much when considering house chores, groceries, getting ready for work, self care, cooking. And excluding things like car maintenance, appointments, and assuming no child.
With your math, that’s 4 hours a day of not working or sleeping for the first 1-6 days and 15 hours of not working or sleeping on the 7th day. All without considering the above.
Get a Ps5
@@TheTMNTurtle while i agree that free time doesnt nessecary mean "free time", most of these things can be either done in less than a hour, are very infrequent or can be completly avoided. i still believe that the resulting amount of free time is sufficient for a healthly life, i do not believe that practicing a job that one hates is sustainable in the long run.
Ive grown up really poor my entire life, and recently came down on harder times during which I met some of the best people Ive ever met. My best friend paid for my trip to jamaica, just bc she wanted me there. Thay was when I realized that I needed to travel to be happy, and that even though I cant afford to go overseas often, I can probably afford a weekend trip somewhere in the U.S, which is already huge as fuck (blessing and a curse) if I live really cheaply abd frugally. I might end up living really boring when im at home, but Id rather be able to experience a lot of new things in the places I visit.
Happiness is an inside job... This is what you need to teach your children. Otherwise they will become consumed with their occupational unhappiness.
She is right❤ she hit the spot
Very good advice young lady 🙂🇬🇧♥️
Yup she answered it in a very profound way at the end of the day when u are at the end of ur life u are not thinking about how much money u miss out on u are thinking about all that time u had to create a wonderful life full of memories and experiences at the end of day u can always make more money but u can't make more time
Words of Wisdom at such a young age! 😊
Love her. She's thoughtful.
Well needed💭👏🏽
Thats a really good mindset, I apply similiar thing to myself and can confirm that she is right
She’s very smart and aware
Mmmmmmmm yes hate my job but I am happy that it allows me to keep my wife home with my daughter and I get to come home two both their smiles
She's extremely insightful & wise.
I must say traveling does make you feel rejuvenated in terms of having peace.
Not mention some people spend their whole life working,
just to drop dead at The office.
she had me at .. that's a really good question. and traveling..
Exactly. So, stop doing overtime. Work your shift and live your life. No one ever said in a funeral in a eulogy that I wish my mom (or dad) worked longer hours.
I think it depends on what you mean by hating your job. If the job sucks but the coworkers are good, then I think that's ok.
She’s smart! I also love to travel
May God bless! Interesting vid
It's all about attitude, you can be content in any situation. Trying to attain sustained happiness is unrealistic. The ups and downs is what's life all about. Everything will be boring if all your aiming is happiness. What we need is contentment, joy and happiness. We also have to think that we bring ourselves wherever we go, and our vibe will also rubbed off to others, so if we are joyful we can find happiness in our work place it may not on others at least we have it in ourselves and that should be good enough
Yes if your job is a means to a higher goal. Then it's one of those things neccessary to achieve a greater goal. It's a steppingstone.
She is right. I hate my job, I am working in a cold dirty place... 5 am to 3pm 5 or 6 days a week. When I 'm coming back home I am going to bed. I have no personal life and I realized that it is not good for my mental. I seriously thinking about quitting my job.
Good advice.
I am working on a job that I don't love but it gives me so much time that I can balance my finances, health and do more in life, and also finding ways to exit. It works for me overall Im happy😊
love this
This is why you have different accounts. One for future purchases, one for recreational, one for investing and rainy day funds.
Live life while you are working towards a future.
Im not sitting on savings for a house. I traveled and made time for hobbies. I booked some therapy appointments. Yet sometimes i am still pretty unhappy. And that’s ok. 😅 i accept
It's nice to see Kyle from Nelk doing something productive
Nice video 👏👏
2hrs 53mins is pretty low for a day in the life, cause majority of people definitely use their phones for way more than 3hrs a day.
You should try to actually use the phone for everything you'd usually do in your usual day with your usual phone ( apart from photography, cause not everyone is a photographer)
“It might postpone your house goal, a bit more. But you might be happier in the long term” I needed to this. In the end it’s not how fast the house is paid but how well you managed your life to get there.
Well said
This person said "If you can leave work at 5pm and still have a full day". Where? My ass is going to bed after I get home, make/eat dinner, clean up some and relax for a few. I am too old for this conversation.
she’s really smart
She is still talking even after she stopped talking. Good advice
You can't hate your job and be happy. You can be indifferent, but hate is too strong an emotion. Eventually you will lose that job one way or another. Best to try to move on.
all things in moderation ✌🏽
Even little trips are so important. A night in a hotel a few hours away ❤
Easier said than done.
If you're looking to have a job make you happy, you're in trouble.
I don't like my job but I only work 3 days per week, 9 and a half hours per day
Very brilliant
only if the happiness outside of work out weights the displeasure of work.
Pleasure and pain are inseparable so yes
Yes
She's great
Smart lady
My happiness is not derived from materials. I don't care how terrible the job is, I will gladly suffer if it means I can give opportunities to my children and keep my family happy and loving
I guess it depends what job you do. Some jobs are more a vocation, and bring a lot of joy and fulfilment. Excessively long hours are obviously detrimental to your health, whatever job you do (particularly in very high pressured, demanding jobs) and of course having a personal life, hobbies etc are important, but each to their own I think.
I work 12 hour shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off. If it weren't for the night shifts, this would be the ideal work life balance.
dog i needed to hear this thanks for this
True. All true.
Happiness is overrated
Yes your job is a means to a better life
She's learnt those lines well.
Traveling is just a means of escape from your own life.. my life is great I have no need to travel and waste more money on shit that will be a memory in a week. Put more effort into your own life. Travel when you're retired or make the means to do it without needing to worry about money
Same. People keep spreading financial illiteracy and wonder why they can't retire.
Yah right
Dave Ramsey has entered the chat 😂
Correct
Traveling is overrated, happiness too. Just survive you don’t need to be happy.
She is definitely a lawyer.
She rest her case.
Smart chica!
I work, then crawl in bed. I couldn't ask for a better life.
O Boy ,No need to play in 0.25× speed )
Smart cookie
Leave office at 5 pm lol 😂
Wise kid
TRUE
Leave the office at 5pm 😅 and still have a happy life
Or Just Issue Credit As a Consumer That Already Owns Money
Leaving at 5:00 p.m. is almost your whole day, four hours in a job that you hate may not ruin your happiness so much, but more than that is impossible.
Take a few weeks off of unpaid leave to travel… I don’t think I live in a world where it’s possible for most people to do that and still have a job when they get back.
❤
Valid options there,
If you work 8hrs plus sleepv8 hrs plus drive back n forth to work how much time does that leave you to live ? Well let's see ,30 min sss ,30 min wake up pack lunch eat breakfast,1 hrs to cook eat dinner ....
Happiness fades turns into sadness in a never ending circle. Don't expect any kind of solution from consuming, traveling or any other person or activity.
Learn to accept and be calm. That's the only long term solution. You don't deserve anything, so stop feeling sorry for yourself.
If you were a business owner you’d be happiest when working even on Sunday’s because no days off.
Traveling with kids is exhausting lol 😆
❤️💯🔥
She is so nervous ! Waouh !
