One thing I want to point about the mint box. I found out because I was curious about it that you can open them with basically anything. The point where a normal sizes person would put his finger to flip it open is the right spot to stand and from there just attack. That opens the box, at least it does for me and it doesn't matter if I use my fist or a hammer.
Yeah yo7 can open it with anything just can't harvest without the proper tool
9:25 it just depends on the size of the feather for how many pieces you get the small ones are usually just one and the bigger ones are five or six from my experience
In the red anthill when you grab eggs, make sure the coast is clear. The only ants that will aggro are the ones that physically see you pick up the egg
Or wear ant amor. They will think you are one of them and lave you alone
Your guides are always helping me when I'm stuck
Red ants will fight most bugs you bring to the hill, so if you need stink bug parts, lady bug parts, even fungus from the infected lady bug, agro them into coming to the red ant hill and watch them fight. This is also helpful for killing a lot of ants to get more eggs, a stink bug can kills 10-15 ants and with them being so close you can get a full inventory of ant eggs fairly quick. Itâs also fun to watch bugs fight lol
Also have a bucket of popcorn right next to you too!
Wear full ant armor and they will no longer aggro you

I went to the red ant hill to get eggs for the first time with my sister, there were only two eggs, but when we picked them up, none of the anta aggro'd onto us. To be faor, I think it's because there weren't any ants nearby when we grabbed them, so maybe as long as they don't see you do it you'll be fine
Yep. That is correct. As long as they don't see you take them, even if they just turned around momentarily, they won't know you have them. Once they know tho, they're damn near relentless. Lol... as they should be. Game so cool man!!
if you want to get more red ant eggs then iâd recommend killing lots of red ants first as more eggs will spawn if there are les red ants in the world
@@_looroll yeah, i learned that after our first trip, so i lured a stinkbug over and let it commit war crimes....so i could steal unborn ants...to turn into bombs...man sometimes i forget how messed up some things are outside the context of gaming.

Donât let the red ants SEE you pick up the ant egg. I put on Full Ant armor and went into the anthill, grabbed 3 ant eggs and walked out with no issues. They never knew.
I was gonna say, I walked out with 8 once but none saw me pick em up and it was just a quick trip out xD

@@mangoesfly1594 when you wear full ant armor, the red ants view you as one of them. The soldier ants wonât alert unless attacked or you are seen stealing eggs.
@@mangoesfly1594 while you're wearing red any armor you can traverse the red ant hill without being attacked, but if you pick up a red and egg and an ant sees you, it will still go after you. But if they don't see you, you can walk passed them with eggs while wearing the armor and not be attacked.

Can't stand limited resources especially when the game doesn't tell you that they don't respawn and you need them to progress
There's a lot of everything including Lint green little beetles that give twinkling shell ant eggs and a lot of everything else in the under shed I leave with 7+ eggs from there
You do not need a two tier to open the mint case you just need it to crush the mints. I did this with a tier one first day then came back to break the mints with a tier 2. I know it's nit picking but I'm only saying it because I know how some people are about using tier two tools on tier one actions when weapons have a durability rating.

Idk if they changed it but the container having the mints, allowed me to open it on like my first day with a lvl 1 hammer, but I couldnât break the mints lol
pond moss can also be found in the under shed; wherever spiny water flees are, there's pond moss
Brown mushrooms give more chunks (4) but the red and white chunks (3) process into more slurry per chunk brown=6 slurry, red and white=10 slurry
So what I said you get more yeild, ie more bricks

Og tip fill the inside of the oak tree with sap collectors Ive got a two layer quarter of the way around and I get 135 per collection can easily get full inventory of. Sap per collection if you grind enough of them

You get so much of it, its hard not to find, its impotant but only after you spin it, will do a refined materials list soon
Black widow eggs. I cleared out the 3 black widows and all the spiderlings and ended up with 300 something webs the other day.

Those purple flowers next to the flower pot close to the oak tree opposite side of the juice box. Climb up on one to grab it and go below the other to grab them. It respawns every other day roughly, it looks like good spot for nectar so far

I saw that you could get the moss from killing the fleas sleuth was rare so I went to kill em so I could close the moss expected to be there for a bit but got one on the second one I killedđ
i hate that salt is basicaly the only element that actualy respawns, besides digging them up, but when i ping them, they dont realy spawn besides one or two

The bird bath area? That's a great spot. The crow always stops there. It's perfect to get lots of berries and feathers in one go, also lots of mosquitoes up top if that's your thing

It should be noted that this guide mentioned the Haze as a good spot. Feathers in the Haze usually give one piece. The random dead insects also only give one item there.
please watch this only when you finish the game or halfway, its spoiler. Only look up the wiki of the game to find specific item information to fully enjoy discovering the tid bits of the game. Great video though.
Hey yea actually I came across a fire ant egg I got it by attacking some fire ants while having the mutation rascal rogue activated and I somehow got an egg from a fire ant

You get the ingredient at end of the undershed dungeon, you only need one and you cant miss getting it
Actually technicalities you do not need the teacher hammer to actually open up that container I should know I actually smacked it open with my fist I was desperately trying to hide from another insect so I ran past that one thing it told me to whack I punched it and it opened up for that mint container on the very first time so you don't need a tier two hammer you just need enough strength to end up working it open and you got to make sure it's right on the spot you wanted to pop it open cuz that's what I did and I ran inside not knowing that it was a mint container cuz I was still very new to the game so I know idea for that
sadly beacon don't work to find quartz and marble. I hope a mod can fix that.

Sap collectors work if connected to turrets, I have a file from before full release and it still works, not sure if this is because it was built before 1.0 and haven't set up new ones on a new file since full release to test , could be worth checking out?
That got patched You cant build em on turrets anymore
