Awesome video. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words CJ and for watching!
Good review..always good useful information. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words Eric, and thanks for watching my friend!
Love the review! cant wait to see more from the chassis. was actually looking at the MPA ESR but the matrix pro is looking like a sure pickup now
Hi Robby! Yeah, I compared as well and just found more value with the Matrix Pro, especially with everything that comes with it. Loving it so far! Thanks for watching my friend!
😂 is that a XLR logo on your shirt? JK, couldn’t help myself 😂
MPA has many assembly instruction videos.
Hi Gene! Yeah, I get that. But I'm still kind of old school and it would just be nice not to have to search for videos for each of the things I purchased...I'm older and not their target audience and I understand that. Thanks for watching my friend!
I run Foundation Stocks but would choose the MPA over the MDT if I was to switch to a chassis.
Hi Jacob! Yeah, you're really either a stock guy or a chassis guy. I tried a TCS for a while but just couldn't get used to it...Loved how it dampened the shot and recoil, but just missed my chassis. Appreciate you watching my friend!
A wide fore-end has its drawbacks. A canted barricade or canted bag will end up canting the rifle and you will have to fight it more to get it to settle. Thats the advantage of narrowed fore ends.
Hi tiputipu777! Good point. Exactly why people need to work on their positional shooting. This past weekend we shot off a barricade that had a large center window and then two 45 degree angles on each side. I saw many shooters slide down those sides because they didn't use the right bag for the job such as my Tator Tot with grippy bottom. Thanks for watching my friend!
Thanks for this video. I bought an AI AXSR last summer and now going back to the MDT ACC feels like a clunky turd. The cheek piece is too small and feels cheap. I don't like the cheap, plastic screw knobs that keep falling either. I want an AXSR chassis, but no one has it. The cheek piece on the MPA looks much bigger and looks like a good choice.
Hi Piro! That MPA cheek piece is actually smaller than I thought it would be, but I honestly like it because I'm going with a "chin weld" now so my head is more vertical when I look through the scope. I also agree that the ACC feels a bit "cheaper" now that I'm running this MPA and will most likely be switching to the MPA for my centerfire rifle. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend!
@@The4GunGuy You're welcome.
Is the Arca in spec? I had read in the past that MPA used a slightly different spec than others.
What color is the chassis?
Hi Jeff, that is the Tungsten color, which is usually readily available from MPA over other colors. I'm not really a color guy, so this color is fine with me. Thanks for watching my friend!
Thanks. I have been looking to buy one of these chassis @@The4GunGuy
MPA is ASININE to not simply make their chassic ambi (like XLR does) by simply providing a plug to plug up the side you do not use. This would allow THEM to make them all the chassis' the same and simplify both production and sales....and it allows us (the buyer) to re-sell to anyone....not just a lefty. For this reason alone I would NEVER buy a MPA bc it makes selling it almost impossible.
What would possess them to not make that small design improvement??
Hi Kevin! I totally agree with you here and don't understand either, unless there is more to it from an engineering standpoint. BUT, if other companies can do it, then why not? Appreciate the input and thanks for watching my friend!
@@The4GunGuy I watch all your videos, some of the best content around. I wish YT wasn't Marxist and anti 2A you guys deserve better. But we appreciate the content
I like the MPA stock but think its extended barricade stop is the ugliest on the market.
Sorry, but it looks like Gene Simmon's nasty tongue, lol.
No offense, but I would have to forego that ugly appendage and shoot without it.
Hi Sagittariustoo! Funny, I never thought of that analogy, but now every time I lay it up on a bag, I'll think of good 'ole Gene Simmons...Thanks for THAT visual! 🤣 I will say that it does do a great job when loading into a bag though and it's far better than the $15 rig I put together using 1/8" aluminum bar and a jig saw (cost 5x more too!). Thanks for watching my friend!
