  • How to retrofit 8th gen Honda Civic sedan headlights with bi-led projectors. This video shows how I retrofit Civic headlights, and then showing the light output of the projectors. The difference is night and day compare to OEM halogen light output. Note, do it at your own risk. I'm not responsible for any damaged done to your vehicle.

    That is so darn simple compared to hids... you don't get a color temp option but thats a great color.

    So what happens if the led burns out? You have to take the entire headlight apart again?

    • @sharifsircar
      @sharifsircar Před 2 lety +1

      They don't "burn out", the circuit might fail, that's where your wallet comes in, those ebay projectors are practically lottery when it comes to quality control, better ones exist from the likes of morimoto for example but cost 4 times more than the one in the video. There are good ones on ebay too but they generally cost a bit more. That's a bit complicated not having any sample of data to work with to know what is what.

    How easy was it to take apart the headlights after sticking them in the oven? I've been using a heat gun and they're still hard to take apart. I've done other headlights with a heat gun with no issues.

    How do you match the focusing point for both high and low beams when the high is reflector? do you aim the upgraded projector beam with the hotspot of highbeam?

  • @XxXnonameAsDXxX

    How do you control these from the dash? You just wired them up and it seems like they run constantly as the car is running. How do you activate the high beam?

    Brand new kit that requires all the cutting and hacking to make it work - hard pass.
    Most vehicles especially Hondas you should simply be able to use the adjustment screw on the top portion of the headlight unit to tilt up or down

    • @RO-qi9yj
      @RO-qi9yj Před 4 lety +6

      Nope! If he used the adjustment screw to bring up the projector that would raise up the high beam also so the high beam would be pointing waaaayyy to high if he used the adjustment screw to bring up the projector since there is only 1 adjuster that controls the low and high at the same time, so he did the right thing by modifying the projector and it doesn’t look like a hack job.

    • @eyedunno8462
      @eyedunno8462 Před 4 lety

      @@RO-qi9yj You should not have to adjust the beams at all, high or low
