That's not a girl best friend, that's a side chick waiting for her chance. I watched a chick do this to my brother for 14 years she waited for her chance. And as soon as he was drunk enough she got her "turn" (🤷🏽♀️). Then she used all the stuff she had learned over those years to guilt trip him into being with her. Well, for a little while. He’s lived with two sisters before (not his but that he roomed with before we met) and he has a few former women colleagues he bonded with. But these aren’t women who frequent his life often. I’d say they became tight with inside jokes and looking out for each other but I’ve literally never met them because they’re not in his main friend circle. Like we have friends that exist at layers. I don’t have guy bff’s but i guy friends.
If he is doing things (or allowing things to happen) to make you insecure, depending on the seriousness I would ghost him as a way of breaking up or I would bring it to his attention and if he does nothing, I would break up with him. I went through it, it will only become worse..
