OUTER RANGE Season 2 Ending Explained: czcams.com/video/FCAlJzb2oWI/video.html
It was pretty good to me
Hubby and I were just talking about it, I do not like it all, makes no sense, just jumps all over the place. Hubby tried to like it but is rapidly losing interest.
Wow thanks Deb! This thread would be nothing without your contribution 🤌🏼
I’m pretty sure that rumble wasn’t an earthquake and actually the bison 🦬. I hope there is a season 2. Most of the shit being made these days is unoriginal trash pushing some political war on culture.
@@picantepatricio you asked what I thought of it, I replied. Sorry if my opinion did not fit your narrative. No need to be snarky about it
I think the character names play a part in the story too, Tillerson: a tiller is someone that literally digs and breaks up the earth. The lawyer for the land dispute is named Cleaver and he's trying to split the property. Royal Abbott is the crown and religion, a God-King, is he the person the future cult is devoted to, hence their presence when he arrives in the future? Perry from Peregrine meaning traveller, travels through the hole. Frank, a synonym for unvarnished truth, literally tells the sheriff that anachronistic things appear on his property. Cecilia: blind, meaning that she has been kept in the dark by Royal. Autumn Rivers: Autumn is the season of the harvest, (Chronos/Cronus being depicted with a scythe) and in Plato's Cratylus Chronos is said to be named after a stream (river). Character names are seldom accidents and these ones appear to have meanings relevant to their role.
Good observations there.
Isn't Chronus also known for eating/trying to eat his children? And it was Zeus and his brothers who stopped him by chaining him up in what we would call hell?
Wow!!!!! Thank you for sharing you are totally right
Good observations! I would add something little bit funny. Initials for josh Brolin character are R.A. and for Imogen Poots are A.R.
This show was very very stupid. Cheesy and boring and so easy to predict. It had no clever deeper meaning but ofcourse people will find one but nothing more clever then the average crap. Really disappointed
I'm super not enjoying this trend of shows with more questions than answers that don't get resolved in any way by the end. It's a lame sequel hook that doesn't always pay off in an age where shows get cancelled at the drop of a hat. It's the viewers who get screwed in the end.
Make friends with the unknown and all that opens up in the process through it ☺️
Ok.
Or it's a year and a half later when the next season hits and you've completely forgotten everything about the show. Then you're like, "did I watch that...did I like it? I don't recall."
Exactly, you’d think they would have learned after everything that happened with LOST
When they wait too long I just give up. BCS is back for a final season but on PARAMOUNT I think. I'm not even joining anything else streaming. BCS xseason 6 took way too long to go
Come back. Stranger Things still isn't back. The kids are all married now I bet.
I really love this show. I hope it gets a season 2 and the writers know where they are going with it. I feel like they have some sort of path because the future jumps should indicate they now how they are getting to those scenes. I wish more people were talking about this show!
Needed more future jumps
If this show gets the seasons it needs to finish up, I will be forever grateful. I love the pacing and what info we got, I just hope to god we get like 2 more seasons lol
It’s Josh Brolin! Cmon Amazon, don’t fuck this up
It's still #1 on Prime so I doubt it will be dropped so easily.
@@NWinnVR Where do you see the rankings?
I'm intrigued. I just pray it doesn't turn into Lost in Wyoming! it doesn't have to, but once burned ......
Love Outer Range & Dark!!!!! Can hardly wait for Outer Range Season 2. Time travel, crime drama, mystery, edge of your seat suspense is my “go to.” The cast is wonderful!!!! Keep’em coming!!!!!!

I think the “trust fund” is Rebecca and Amy getting rich in the future off of having the mineral rights from obtaining the property. Maybe Autumn is back in the past to ensure this happens or to change it just a little so that only she controls the mineral for her cult purposes.
Autumn is Amy grown up right? She’s the one that unites both families for the future
@@tional5266 how do you figure she unites both families?
@@DaMazzaf97 By controlling them. Amy seem to be a Mad Cultist Leader in the future.
My assumption is the trust fund was something Autumn told Rebecca to set up for her early, around the time that Rebecca (who with Autumn's help) took Amy from the rodeo. -using different names for the same person to help with my theory
I find it fascinating that autumn is the one to join the feuding neighbors into one family with the youngest brother
What was the significance of the bears? Why did Ceci save/hide the dead cub and simulate a bite to her hand?? why did she kill & bury the grown bear and not tell anyone about it? why did the bear not attack Autumn?
Not sure why bear didn’t attack autumn - for the dead cub though, her session with her bible reading group prior to the scene mentioned bears.
Can’t answer your Autumn question, it as far as the Ceci bear bite it has to do with her Bible study. They specifically mention 2 Kings 2:23-25, about kids mocking a prophet and because of this they get mauled by a bear. It’s symbolic of the guilt she feels for helping to cover up the murder so she’s making the bear bite her so she can feel some of that punishment for her sins.
It could also be a metaphor from Native religion too. The bear is the protector of nature and the other animal spirits. I think it might be both Christian and Native mythology.
@@negativeionz you seem knowledgeable with the native religion and theology in general. I can get the connection the bear made with Autumn given that she is a traveler….she heard a voice saying “show him” when their faces were close…. who is him, Royal…? Did Ceci push the bear cob’s teeth into her hand to show she was attacked or was it self punishment? Any thoughts? Love the significance this show puts on animal spirits, and wonder if the bear getting killed was symbolic of Ceci’s breakdown and family falling apart at the end.
@@FarnazWallace They referenced the bear thing as a Bible parable when she's in church so that might not be Native mythology. I don't know who him was. I assumed it was Royale I believe but I'd hafta watch it again to formulate an opinion.
Rebecca has been in town the whole time....Cecillia kept seeing her, but thought it was her mind playing tricks on her, but in reality...she was actually there and not a vision.
Yeah, yet another odd point. Did Rebecca fall into the hole, and pop out in town or something, with lost memories? Odd.
@@Analysta654 Possibly... can't wait for season 2....the Why Files has the true story of this on their channel....pretty interesting stuff.
I liked the show overall. I thought it took a while for it to find it's story. It wasn't really until the last couple episodes that I felt the sci-fi / mystery elements jumped in. The first 5 or 6 episodes were basically just a western land dispute drama, with the occasional hole in the ground - but that was still interesting so I didn't mind.
I'm a little worried about there being a season 2 (i haven't heard that much buzz about the show). Hopefully it happens, I'd love to see where they take it next. But even if they don't get a season 2, I think it's still worth a watch for the great acting and pretty good story.
I hope there is a season 2. I didn’t even realize that was the last episode. I absolutely hate how shows that were once 12-20 episodes per season are now averaging 6. I was just glad the show limited the woke shit.
@@tonynittoli4792 yeah!! None of that woke shit!! I don’t want shows that display a world where people I don’t agree with have rights or prominent roles in the show.
@@tonynittoli4792 yeah Sheriff Joy took care of such issues all in one neat package.
Typically most Amazon and Netflix shows always get a season 2
@@tordb yeah? where's my second season of Truth Seekers?
I believe the 'earthquake' was the buffalo stampede. My guess is Autumn came back awhile ago and set things in motion. Using future knowledge/black stuff she amasses a fortune using her mothers identity, who she then reveals herself to. This is why the mother leaves, she is helping her daughter who probably told her it was the only way to save the family ranch. However the black stuff is like a Drug and has negative side effects with prolonged us, might explain the mental stability. The future looks like ti was almost a convergence point. The Cult, Tillerson, Military and Corporations who all got control of the hole in their timelines. Somehow all those times have converged at that point when he awakens, and it could be a end of everything scenario because of those realities colliding. Hence when Royal and Autumn connect things disappear. Having lost her faith Cecilia tells Royal to run, where previously she might have seen this ending of the world as a 'rapture' style god thing and been okay with it. I also think what they are mining in the future is Time itself, Tillerson looks fine because he is rich and used it to reverse his illness that had him in a wheelchair
I thought autumn was Amy tho…
@@kyle896 she is
the mom was a reference to Revelation 12 and Babylon
What I want to know is was royal always an Abbott? They say the ranch has been in the family for 2 hundred odd yrs.has the hole been there since royal was a kid? How had they never come across it before.in other words is the ranch royal grew up on before 9 the same ranch he lives on now.did he marry his great great great aunt
When he threw trevors body in the hole it reawakened everything inside of him he had tried to keep hidden since he killed his father
Loved it. Got no theories yet. But the big question in my mind is why is Royal such a threat? Autumn purported him as a really bad guy. One would assume that's why Rebecca came back for Amy. And, to your point, it looked like there was a countdown clock and a tiny people waiting for him to come thru. Cecelia told him to run and Luke shot at him. WHY?!? Why is he so bad? Does he KNOW he's bad or does an avoidable fate turn him into the bad man he becomes? Does he have a choice? Who the hell is he?
Chill out bro
Crazy you mentioned DARK cause I thought about that exact show. Best show I’ve ever watched (5/6times now😂)
The vague mystery of it all. Brought it together really well. Just one giant trail of bread crumbs. There’s still royals past that’s not been shown for investigation. The story with his wife and their history is also vague in what did she do or knows. She’s standing beside him, and when asked by Amy how she met him it’s somewhat fate when she says “it’s as if I have been waiting for him all my life.” I like how the stages of how critical each topic is. The hole, Trevor’s Murder, The Family Losing their Ranch, Autumn, and The Future happening.
Thanks. I was actually more confused when I finished watching all the episodes than what I was when I saw the first episode
By the way did anybody find autumns making out to be freaking weird.
That tongue action was nasty and not in a good way.
I think Billy is mentally unstable at the very least.
I think everyone did
eeeewwww gross and so cringey just like the bros singing
The scene when the guy tells the sheriff his cousin disappeared for six seconds, you got it all wrong. He says that took place 6 months ago, so it's impossible that it could have happened the first time Royal and Autumn shook hands. Then the sheriff sarcastically asks him if his cousin also was addicted to meth, meaning the addict is THIS guy (not his cousin).
He'd rather make a utube video on how he really doesnt know lmao
all about evil, the beast
When crockpots and slow cookers are in the midst of doing their thing, they can build up some pressure and that sometimes causes the glass top to rattle and shake. I don’t know if that’s meant to tie into something bigger happening within the framework of the story but in a practical sense, that’s what’s happening.
That was my thought too! For me, I thought it was to show that the slow cooker had been cooking for too long and to show that everyone was late for the family dinner which Cecilia had stressed was incredibly important to her. I'm guessing the slow cooker dinner was supposed to be ready right after the rodeo, but Royal was chasing Autumn, Rhett was with his girlfriend, and Cecilia was frantically looking for Amy. And i think it was probably symbolic of the pressure building within the family about to burst
You are 100% correct. “Coming to a boil” simile. It’s amazing what kind of insight comes from people when they done know what an appliance does 😆
“earthquake” 😂
@@makaylaboswell1854 In my opinion the rumble of the crock pot was the buffalo herd. Crockpots which cook on low heat even on "high" setting do not build up pressure like regular pots boiling and/or "pressure cookers".
@@Agent-jj4cc They absolutely do. Speaking from experience, after a couple hours say over 2 or 3 they start to do exactly that. The heat thats been building in the pot always makes the lid rattle.
This is why I wait for these uploads: not rushed and not some stupid recap! I love the observational commentary and can only add that Royal and maybe all of the Abbots have a particular relationship with this mystical temporal portal. But, to your point, the portal may, or may not, abide by any time travel rules. Maybe the portal is driven by a person's particular attachment to the past. For example, Sheriff Joy appears to have an emotional attachment to the Native American tribal dance and then later is led up a mineral trail that takes her back to a time when Native American's hunted and survived on the plains by hunting bison before the American government decided to slaughter the buffalo in mass in order to starve off the rebellious tribes. And what has Rebecca told Amy to make her initially be in opposition to Royal (besides Royal's penchant for keeping vital information from everybody)? Interesting stuff. Thanks.
That’s what intrigued me. What on earth (or under it) made Rebecca so fearful of Royal? What did he do in the interim that was so terrible? Or is rebecca cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs?
@@galveston Just about all the characters in this drama seem cuckoo.
The time, that people are sent to by the hole, is not random, it may seem random to us, but obviously there is some purpose, child Royal appeared at the feet of child Wayne, at the very moment he discovered the hole.
the fact that people in the future "vision" had a count down clock, means that they understood how the hole functioned.
The question is, what is the hole doing? is it trying to manifest the future timeline vision that Royal saw? or maybe it's trying to change that timeline so that will not happen?, is there some kind of battle between the hole and humans that are manipulating/controlling it in the future? these are all possibilities.
Any movie/series that deals with time travel, and time lines, can get very confusing very fast, as you mentioned in the video, Royal could be related to anyone, and we have the mystery of Rebecca, she took off for some reason, I do not think it had to do with her husband being abusive, something spooked her, maybe she had a vision of the future from the hole, and did see he would abuse or kill someone (her or her daughter) and that is why she left.
In the last episode it hints that events have been changed, personally I hope the visions are not written in stone, and fate can be changed.
There is a whole lot of other stuff, that we have just way too little data, the minerals, the "spirit" animals the time travels without the hole, we can only guess at this time, wild guesses, but I think the big picture is, that, the hole appears when two timelines cross or are created from an event that should not have happened, and the hole / Chronos is trying to correct that.
The clock countdown represents an ending of their world I'm pretty sure.
@agriperma I agree, and like your theories/explanations. I wondered if the clock had to do with everyone waiting for Royal to appear, which explains why Autumn pushed him into the hole. Luke and his father Wayne were there, I assumed they own the land in the future…Wayne was smiling as if he knew he’d show up….and his wife told him to run. That made me wonder if everyone including scientists were waiting for him at that moment, …not sure if they wanted to capture Royal after going through the hole for some experimentations, or to change something in the past. Lots of fun theories to pass around, it’s a fascinating story.
This was a FANTASTIC series and I REALLY REALLY REALLY HOPE there is at Least a season 2!!!
You make the best recap videos. I was hoping you were going to do one for this show. Great job brother!
Okay I really needed this video to understand the season. I was just watching it during work but it seriously needs your undivided attention. Great stuff.
I love this channel, great analysis. Always look forward to your take, especially this one as I’ve just finished watching this show. Great content as always.
There's a certain dryness to this show and I love it .
Thanks for the summary and finer points. Sooooo many connections in this series and it's just mind boggling. Can't wait for season 2.
It was like two parts Yellowstone & one part Twilight Zone w/some Twin Peaks sprinkled in. I liked it, but it was weird.
Awesome cerebral rewriting of classics in literatur. suspenseful and wanting more. Even though the majority of viewers already know the storytelling.
Seriously kudos on this analysis. Best I’ve seen on almost any content.
Loved it! Total geek out material. Though none has been confirmed, the HAS to be a Season 2!
“It’s Wyoming. There isn’t much to do there.” 😂😂😂
I'm glad you mentioned Dark. I kept getting the feeling that this was trying to be like Dark, but didn't quite know how to do it.
The Amber Herd joke landed so well
Billy was also in the future when royal first falls into the hole but he’s dead now so the hole teleported royal to an alternate future. Autumn is also shocked that royal is back, hence she has no clue how it works. Another thing that’s strange is that amy told autumn that the symbol she’s drawing is her family’s crest. Autumn should’ve been able to figure that out as well. Autumn is an amy from an alternate timeline for sure.
Good catches, thanks!
We’re those plot holes, or an indication that there are multiple timelines? I don’t know, hopefully they’ll clear things up in season 2
@@Analysta654 I think if it's trying to follow Dark then multiple timelines will come into play.
Any theories on why the hole closed when Perry fell into the hole ?
Maybe the accident that Autumn mentioned she was in and couldn't remember things from involved her father, Perry?? And maybe Perry died in that accident when he was rejoined with Rebecca as a family? So, maybe the hole closed because he was not to return? I don't know really, just some random thoughts going through my head, lol. I would really love to know though. I just finally watched all the episodes, and I LOVED IT!!! Glad to finally know there will be a Season 2. They start filming on March 13th, from what I read. Truly excited for this!!!😉😊😁🥰
I love all the mystery and questions of this show. Just when you think you've figured it out, you realize you're way off. It keeps me on the edge of my seat. I'm re-watching season 1 as a refresher for season 2. I don't usually like movies/ series like this, but outer range has its grip on me. Love it.
Dark is definitely a solid recommendation if you liked Outer Range. Outer Range spent too much time on side character melodramas. Dark is a masterpiece of a show. Hopefully season two of Outer Range starts answering more questions than it leaves behind.
That third season of Dark though was too much for me. Otherwise, it was a complete masterpiece.
@@dustinfreund5196 Dark was ok...for a while..then...it became kinda like Tenet....dense and impenetrable.....and, in the end, something to stop watching....

Good job as your video opened my eyes and didnt pick up on most of what you presented! Great show!
The constant darkness was a bit frustrating. It sort of coined the phrase “Dark as an Outer Range rodeo.”
Interesting point regarding doubles. It was Royals wife that thought she saw Rebecca driving - maybe it was!
Of course if was. Or why put it in. Then Rebecca shows up.
Thanks for the overview, I needed it.
Love how wild and bonkers the show got by the end of the season!!
Great video!!! I feel like I need to rewatch it and pick out details
I’m late to the party lol. Just finished season one. I was blown away by the acting of each person. So much tension. Beautiful scenery. The story took its time and moved at its own pace. I feel in the end that autumn acted that way towards Royal Because of her anger. Her family, although the stars of the show, have a lot of issues. I like them, but they clearly made a lot of terrible mistakes that damaged Amy. She was hurt. She felt lonely. Which is why she is probably on medication as an adult. So I don’t believe in karma, but it’s like you reap what you sow. I absolutely loved the show! I hope season two is out soon
Pretty good show. Karma is real my friend. As is reincarnation.
This show is so deeply lonely, all these people who are sewn together tightly, with families sacrificing everything for their family members, the whole blood is thicker than water these being so constant, and even friendships/lovers, like they live unquestioningly by the code that you have their back no matter what they did. But they are so painfully unable to truly connect to anyone, ever. As hard as they want to. Royal in the end tore his heart out for his wife in desperate please for closeness, but never at a time when she could even hear it. I think the undercurrent of Royal and Ceceilia’s faith journeys was brilliant. I thought it was beautifully written and acted, and honestly heart wrenching in both directions, the losing and the finding. They were like ships in the night. They were both having such drastic shifts in their faith/understanding of their place in the world, individually going through arguably the most important inner battles a person can have, but in their process they totally passed by one another throughout the whole season, every shift in them brought them places with it that were so unlike the place the other person was at. So their understanding of the world, which is their experience of the world, was never shared between them. So lonely. I kept thinking “we were born alone, and we will die alone”
In the end i had the sense that this show was a seriously heavy indictment of religion, but not of the core principles (the core principles under the specifics) nor in favor of materialist reason, but for religion being wholly inadequate as a framework from which to experience existence itself in all of its mystery and vastness, especially because it doesn’t provide an honest complicated way to understand the suffering and destructive elements which share the core of reality with the more positive elements. But then Autumn serves as a warning about the dangers of sliding too quickly into mystical overwhelm, linking it to the very real danger of psychosis. And then the Tillersons warn against pure materialism (as in matter, not fashion), having no cares for anything other than ones own impulses, desires, senses. Even art like music, painting, the nan golden reference (who i love) gets distorted by their fixation on self, as well as the wildlife, land, etc. Without grappling consciously with god or the universe or whatever, feeling powerless before it all, you really can become horrifically narcissistic, and endlessly hungry for more pleasure/ wealth/ etc. But then, its not like you reach peace and enlightenment BY grappling… pretty much everyone is f**ked and god is everything, the good and the bad, and feeling entitled to grace is unrealistic. Like if one feels like grace has been bestowed, it probably means you weren’t grappling with the nature of god at all. According to this show. I tend to agree.
Anyway, I was just working these thoughts out while i was writing this. I didn’t know I was watching these themes while i was watching this show, I was just really watching a riveting show while i was in it. This all came to my mind just after i finished, here in the comment. I loved this show! I loved looking at this show, it was seriously so visually wonderful, and the timing/speed of the shots, the colors, the use of spotlight/headlight lighting. I loved the sound of it too. The music, but also the dialogue and the small sound details were also wonderful. It’s the world of cowboys as we all sort of wish the world of cowboys is. Like, its totally imaginary, but somehow also manages to be so real at the same time. Side note : the cowboys thrash-dancing to Metallica’s Jump In the Fire was a long standing fantasy of mine that I…never even knew i had until this show haha.
Interesting insight
Great recap. Starting season 2 now. Needed that. And you are so right about Dark! My wife and I’s favorite show. Also the OA but that was unfortunately canceled after season 2.
Your explanation and and theories are excellent 👌🏼
This show was so fantastic I hope season 2 comes soon
I wonder if they'll make it so that Royal realizes that BY9 wouldn't have taken his land if he hadn't brought the necklace to them to examine in the first place since they wouldn't have even known about it. Will he wonder if he'd have knocked over the vase if the Oracle hadn't mentioned it? 🤔
Great show! Love the whole premise of it
I love the show!!!! Can’t wait for S2- thx for the explanation- but what abt when “Autumn” meets and talks to her younger self Amy? If shaking hands w Royal makes their two timelines bleed & mtns disappear, wouldn’t meeting *herself* create a time paradox ? (& ‘rip a hole in space-time’ á la doctor who) but during their few meetings nothing spectacular seems to happen.
And where did autumn’s trust fund come from?!
Also in the final ep do u think when autum called Amy’s phone for Royal she quickly said something to amy abt going out to see her mom? Amy seemed like she was looking for someone before Rebecca called her name… a lot of questions.
And rather than an earthquake, I felt like the final scene was the pressure cooker rumbling, as it did in another scene; representing all the tension & pressures the characters are experiencing & that things are reaching a boiling point & sh*t abt to hit the fan. Who knows tho 🤷♀️
I like stories that tell a story, this just leaves questions and scratching my head.
Ya, characters are all bad, no one to root for, and no real satisfaction at the end of the season. Left not even wanting more.
I think there were just enough unanswered questions for first season - unlike Lost which kept piling them on. Happy they just released season 2.
I’m excited for season 2 and I watched all your reviews of Dark
Heard of some native American (both North and South) origin myths talking about ancestors emerging from holes in the ground, probably related to the lore of this show.
Reminds me of the saying. ‘Much to do about nothing. ‘ many possibilities, with ending being unresolved.
I'm thankful for videos like this because there's no way I'm going to sit through that series.
Just finished binge watching the first season...and really enjoyed it too! Somehow I was thinking this was going to reveal an "ALIEN" encounter, but was floored it's a time traveling mystery unfolding. Season ending left more questions to resolve, so hopefully Season 2 does not take forever to happen! Lately seems every good sci-fi series is more delayed in release dates.
Have you heard of a season 2 release date? I just finished watching the 1st season. Was pretty good.
Great video dude
The concept was good but I’m not sure the writers executed it to the best of its abilities. I feel it leaves you more lost than satisfied, as there’s too many holes to fill in (good joke right - cuz of the hole 🕳 you know 😂)
A lot to fill in season 2 IF it gets there. Half the time I kept asking what all the fuss with the animals was about? The 🦬 with the arrows? The 🐻? Like? What?
7/10 - I enjoyed it still, but my brain was left in a void sometimes - get it, void, cuz of the 🕳. Gosh I crack myself up.
😆👍🏼
😆
I think they aren't giving the audience enough and are expecting us to figure out too much while throwing these really abstract scenes in our face. There has to be a balance to keep the audience engaged and I think it's way off. Like you said, I was just lost and not very satisfied, but I'm also not left wanting more.
@@chronic2001n agreed my chronic friend!
Dark is the most well written science fiction show Ive ever seen. I really enjoyed Outer Range as well, can't wait for the next season.
Westworld is the best show on earth, darling, you didn't see it. I watched Dark and outer range and Westworld and many other shows and Westworld is the best of the best!
Solid show about time!
This show, just like Severance, was a great surprise for me. I really like it, the story is intriguing, it has very good acting and amazing cinematography. I also like that NA are part of the story. I think that all of the plot revolves around Ryoall leaving his family in the past causing problems and anomalies for that timeline. Hope it will be renews for a 2nd season.
Interesting take, I agree and thought the portal opened and closed for timeline correction too since Autumn mentions fate a lot. She looked surprised when Billy got shot and I wondered if that had something to do with Luke digging and buffalos coming out. It feels like some of these events will change the future outcome
At first I was hooked. Then the whole, so many questions with little to no answers started. I want suspense but c’mon, give us a little something! And no, I don’t mean more overly aggressive public make out sessions with zoom ins on the spit.
I’m looking forward to season 2, I just hope this doesn’t flop out like “Under the Dome”.
It really sagged in the middle episodes, last two got my interest back but i only finished cos i had nothing else to watch.Seems to be too many mysterious incidents for the sake of being mysterious not to add to the plot or move the story along.I wouldnt recommend this to anyone
I loved Night Sky because even though all the plot stuff wasn't fully answered, it wrapped up the characters' stories.
Outer Range, though an intriguing watch, really left a bunch of questions unanswered.
Which is a shame because that last episode was really good. I wish they'd finished paying everything off.
Great show... Hope there is a season 2
Was waiting for Autumn to be Royal's sister from 1886.
The cinematography was amazing. Story, not so much. Very very confusing. Thank God you made this video!
I can only just imagine the mind map these creators drew to interconnect all the events so that it makes sense to them. And all we're seeing is the same mind map with all the lines removed.
Thanx for explaining a few things I didn’t understand
Per IMDB the actress playing the Rebecca character was in episodes 6,7 & 8 but I only saw her at the rodeo in episode 8. That is interesting. Were her scenes cut out of episodes 6 & 7?
Outer Range
I loved “Outer Range” and it also reminded me of “Dark” I laughed when you referenced it. Very few sci-fi tv shows meet my approval. Most are cheesy and predictable. But shows like the 2 previous mentioned and my favorite “Fringe” (All hail JJ Abrams) are able to keep me in suspense.
This is my genre. I like a super natural plot also like “Leftovers” but I never got into “Lost” and I didn’t care for “Under the Dome” The verdict is still out on “Manifest”
However, there are a few that devastated me when they were canceled so soon. I mean I’d give anything to see how these shows would have played out: Flash Forward, The Event, Heroes, and “Threshold” That was a lot but my first language is ramble.
Raised by Wolves was really good too, but it hasn't been renewed, so will doubtfully ever be finished. But what is there is really good.

It was such a great show. Can't wait for season 2. Seldom does television produce something so engrossing and worth the time.
There were 2 Rebecca's Cecilia thought she saw her and she did but thought she was mistaken ;)
Even with this explanation, I still have no idea what was going on lol.
I liked the series, but I don't know why. Maybe I just like surprises but I kept watching hoping something would eventually make sense. Not much has yet by Josh Brolins character, Royal, and what happened to him is interesting enough for me to want more. I just just hope this doesn't go on and on so long that we just give up like I did with 'Lost'. I hope there's a plan to tie everything up and the producers aren't just winging it to keep us groping and hoping for as long as we will.
I thought maybe Autumn was Royal’s sister since the brief glimpse of her we see she has long blonde hair. Like she went through the hole later and is hostile because she is mad he killed their father and abandoned her and their mother. Like she’s coming to mess with his new family. It’s so sad his granddaughter turned out so miserable and unstable.
I really liked the show, great acting, and there was enough reveal to keep me interested. I hope the writers have a good plan for season 2.
Can anyone please explain the talking mamá bear? Wtf was that? And the bison with the arrows who appeared to both time travelers (Autumn and Royal). What was the connection with the animals? Also the cub bear. anyone have a theory?
Personally I really enjoyed this series and can’t wait for the new season at the end of each episode I was left wanting to know what the hell is going to happen next so that’s how I judge well written shows fantastic IMO
Wow! Your review kept me interested in Season 2. Up until now, I have felt that Outer Range was too slow, feeding the view via an eye dropper. Nice analysis. It's still very slow, as is "Dark."
Good job 👏
The shade of it all
Just finished it! This video did help clarify a few things so that my brain wasent hurting too much 😂 I am however disappointed at the ending because there still loads of things I want answered and considering we have no word on s2 or if there will be a s2 that frustrates me knowing we will be either waiting a huge time or won’t get anything.. I personally want in s2 the history of the whole and why it’s even here. Personally this show doesn’t need to be seasons long just enough for a decent story to wrap up. Anyway rant over ahaha overall I liked it 7/10
Best show I've seen on amazon. Hope it gets a second season.
glad I stuck with it, the last half of the season was fantastic.
Outer range was awesome way better than I expected it to be hopefully It gets a second season
I like the show alot. I'd be very disappointed if there wasnt a season 2. Having said that ... when the answers do come , the pay off needs to blow me away for the show to be a winner in my eyes.
What about arrows in bison's back? Autumn pulls one from the back and royal the second one. What it can be?
The problem is, ep 08 wasn't a conclusion, it was a reveal. And the problem with the reveal was it was already pretty clear by ep 7. So when it actually turns out to be the season finale' I'm like ..."wtf?... we came all this way for that?" The series "From" had a similar problem. A lot of nuance with no conclusion. Maybe they're teasing for another season, but a bit annoying imo. I like the show but the finale' reminds of that famous TS Eliot line: 'This is how the world ends. Not with a bang but with a whimper'
This show is great, got hooked
Dark is fantastic and your review on it was great. I watched every episode. Outer Range, however, is not Dark. The reveal of Amy/Autumn at the end of the season definitely kept me hanging on but the series could have used a little more story telling. We know from Royals solo short voyage through the hole that there are some additional connections to be made. The black goo coming up gave me XFiles vibes. It is an unknown substance that has an adverse affect on it's host...just saying.
This show has strong Dark vibe, the mountain disappeared when Royal and Autumn shook hands is probably a reference to the "Grandfather Paradox".
What was the point of Cecilia and the baby and momma bear? Just symbolism? She could’ve just gotten in her truck vs shooting & killing momma bear, no?
Straight in my eye!👁
now I suppose clamato sales will up, check out the ingredients first. However I have drank it, and I liked it. liked the series very much, looking forward to season two!
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this series but I was instantly grabbed from episode one… I started watching it because of Noah Reid and what a great job he did in Schitt’s Creek I was curious to see what he was doing now… Wow! He was awesome as Billy and played that character perfectly. Not to mention his beautiful voice. I am definitely waiting for season two! I am most intrigued now with Autumn after originally not liking her very much… But now knowing that she is Amy really throws a wrench in that hatred!
It doesn’t look like Noah will be back since Billy lost his head! But time travel. . .! I still want to know what’s going to happen, but without Noah I’m not as invested.
NOAH! Who knew Patrick could be so f-ing creepy! I agree, he was great as Billy.
Billy was an angel
Thanks!
Reminded me more of Dark on Netflix
Man posting that bail was the stupidest move in the history of ranches
