@@somehighweirdo debuffs are replaced with an interesting buff system where u use runes to do various stuff (change nodes, give yourself certain resources, buff urself for a fight etc.) Keys are more interesting - you get a lot more of them but there is value in letting them stack up instead of using them
I STILL dont have cathedral puzzle or pathfinder fin for completionists sake. Ive only seen the knight follow up encounter once(for silver forks, thank god i first tried it), pathfinder fin idk i think cannot just hates me.
With how important Determination is for surviving the boss' globals, it's abhorrent how rare it is to get the light gain relic and early enough to stack up 90 light since the first encounter on floor 5 almost always locks in ending 4.
Yeah this boss hits pretty hard. Good thing Pinecone got Survivor. If anyone wants to try not pushing the boss, but actually FIGHTING the boss on D15, I recommend the Schwarz opener. This allows you to fearlessly sweep the early floors and get Determination (in particular, Emergency Mutual Aid, the new map, won't be an issue). You then want to get status resist either in the form of Therapist modules or relics (I like using Ceylon). Against the boss, feed him so he reaches phase 2 ASAP, and use your Therapist Medic to keep your other Medics alive. Try to use pushers to hold the jellyfish. Doing Wonderland helps a lot because it gives you more resources in preparation for the fight. Or you can just luck into Fincatcher's Shawl.
With the absolute anguish that the chase for the is2 4th ending has given me in the past, I'm definitley not doing it with this shittier, more infuriating version. I absolutely commend madmen like you for doing this and not having a manic episode
Damm, kudos to you. That looks really hard and painful to do. And the anxiety of your crucial ops getting debuffed is also pretty hard to deal with, from the looks of you. But in the end, you did it. Great job, as always.
I personally found IS3 Ending 4 much more pleasent than IS2 in term of overall condition and boss mechanics, but again the experience might be different since I was playing with 'mind over matters' squad and had decent crowd control ops.
I played an unhealthy amount of IS2 and never got all squads all endings because Playwright RNG is cancer. I seem to go 10 runs between Playwright attempts, and because I get so few attempts and the fight is one of the hardest in IS, it's the stage I'm worst at, so I still manage to lose sometimes if I can't spawncamp the boss. Izumik rates are SO much better. The fight itself is extreme pain, though. Even on SW0, 2000 defense walls out most physical DPSers without very good attack relics or Shamare/Pramanix, and on higher SW, 90 res without some of the new caster books is just disgusting. Worse, I'm missing some key ops like Weedy (since jellyfish have 0 weight) and Mostima. This fight on my SW15 grind laughed at some of the best relic sets I've ever had, including several that got a leakless EM WFU (double near-global Pompeii, one of the hardest stages in the game). There's ultimately a colossal AoE DPS check where one mistake will vaporize your entire team on the spot, and then hoping you have Nightingale, Determination, or some truly cracked helidrops for phase 2. This fight made me burn out on IS3 and I've been playing more IS2 recently and malding over Playwright RNG. Why is it that all my Golden Chalice runs fail to get to ending 4, but then when I get the first ending 4 relic, I immediately go into some nonsense like EM Justice with no vanguards?
I've never even got playwright's fight once :D So I appreciate the jellyfish more, even tho the fight is hell. won't play is3 for a while after this gring but I might try to beat the boss at 15 sometime
You are suppose to block the jelly and kill them when they turn, not bruteforcing through 2k DEF bro. At least at low Difficulty you can still use landholder to hold all 3 Jellyfish lanes and throw random bullsh*t for the middle. If anything I tend to lose because I was too greedy on getting Casters (cuz I like Casters, and their Relics are broken as hell) and don't have enough landholder Also I feel you, but I feel worse with the Relic RNG in IS2. I did all ending all team and I still miss like 4 relics, then one day, after all these month, they all appear in run.
I got IS2's 4th ending once, thank scallywaggers I got a 0 sec redeploy, 0 cost Vanguard Yato, otherwise I wasn't doing that first time. Cause I haven't gotten it once since, and that was so many months ago! And IS3 hasn't given me the 4th ending yet, once... Gosh darn it, RNG, go back to tripping me up on the rolls, not my favorite mode! :D
IS3 ending 4 was so hard for me and I only beat it because I got both the 3% atk 2 atksp and 2% atk 1 atksp caster relic with 40 relics total. 3600 attack Mostima before skill just killed everything.
Thinking back to it I also had the 15% splash caster buff per attack thingy. So Mostima completely carried me I even have a screenshot of her with 14,000 atk at one point.
i got really lucky first try i got multiple new artifacts for the casters resulting eyja astgenne and lin to become death destroyer of worlds also got all encounters is-3 has a bad boss being ending 2 boss and a bad unit being the jellyfishs (not mizuki)

The Relic RNG in IS3 genuinely breaks me. The rarity of certain things in IS3 breaks me even more. What an emotionally painful IS.
