I just think of her primary role as offensive ranged AOE (melee), and then when she has to she switches to being a defender. But I like her kit, her story and character, her design... Instant pull!
Edit: I think that being versatile in this manner suits her lore being a military commander. Main role is command and control while still being part of the elite team. She'd be pretty up there in any military.
Also if you think about it Saria/ other 6 star ops are as crazy as her, but choose to seal off part of their kit when 'working for Rhodes Island'.

What makes fiametta good is that her skills are multiplicative not her aoe dps as there are significantly better aoe options such as chenalter
She doesnt have temp immortality its second revive she can infact die in that time
Atk for defenders is rather niche actually
And saria is way more versatile than her as her dp cost and weird range alongside aoe dmg being rather niche makes her hard to pick

It can shot shells, but this functionality had to be disabled during her stay at RI.
I also love her voice. English VA's (European) are a rare treat. On top of that, she was seriously able to nail Horn's unique...'perspective' given her history.

And how outside of CC and annihilation. Certain maps dont really have fit for her niche use. And by also the fact she deals physical dmg where certain, if not most enemies have the most resistent of.

She doesnt have that high damage tough as her total damage is just 30k compared to surtrs 90k
And surtr has immortality where she cant die but horn infact can as its a revive
And horn costs significantly higher has weirder range and sp costs are not the same

1. The 2nd talent also has visual effects radiating outwards near her feet. If she's facing upwards, you can't see her eyes when she's idle so look around her feet to check if it's already active.
2. I just found out that Skadi S2 prevents Horn from activating her second talent by herself if you placed them near each other. Now I have to resist placing her near the Skadi Ball.

You could still benefit from Skalter s2 though. Just use Horn S1 for more consistent damage or just put her away from Skalter to active her self-damage then, use only seaborn summon to buff Horn.
I definitely prefer "to the bitter end" to "bloodbath". It just sounds more fitting to what the talent does.
En localization has been gutting cool names for a while, but this one really hurts. Bitter end is so cool, where did bloodbath even come from wtf, they also changed "final line of defense" to "ultimate line of defense" ???

We’re talking about the handheld guns mainly. Cannons and compound bows are more common around non Lateran folk for ranged weapons
Explosives are fairly cheap and simple. Penetration rounds are much rarer outside of Laterano as they have complex Originium arts mechanisms to use etched bullets with.
Its explained in depth in the Operation Originium Dust event if you look up the transcript (Its somewhere around OD-5)

Horn and Mudrock is a problem solver duo.
And if you can deploy Horn and Ashlock, I call it HIMARS-Gaming. Seriously, it's always hillarious on stages in which the enemies line up in this big impressive group before charging you. They quickly learn the meaning of modern warfare and why you don't bunch up.

Best english voice in the game, and one of the best voice lines in the game in general.
Extremely fun to play, Strong, Badass, good for new players, her skill ceiling for usage is really low, can be used in virtually every node with different degree of effectiveness but it's usually close to its peak at all times.
Sad you didn't mention Ashlock there, ashlock gets over 1600 atk during her S2 with just horn on the field. Ashlock+Horn is something that should be banned by Geneva conventions, literal warcrimes.
S1 is afknights
S2 is mainly for all these situations where you want more dmg in a short amount of time, like bosses with triggers phases etc, it's niche but you'll quickly realise it actually has decent usages and it's pretty good.
S3 is "I'll impart on you all the cries I've heard."

@@yuurina5092 I don't think so, S3 has a wider spectrum of scaling compared than s2, for many reasons, but shortly:
>Scales aspd which boosts dmg tremendously
>S3 scales with Horn talent 2,18 aspd is very good added to S3 aspd buff.
>S3 means way more shots, means you apply atkbuffs more times, greatly boosting damage.
>S3 lasts longer, can cover longer waves and not being tied to a number of shots means less dmg wasted on overkill.
The point is, S3 has a big ass vertical scaling that S2 sadly doesn't have, while S2 main quirk is the insane burst that's good to pick enemies off, for example, you can stun an enemy with W S3 and fire the remaining horn bullets while enemy is stunning taking the massive dmg boost from W's Talent(did this today, it's fun as hell Lol).
Worth noting S2 does 60% arts dmg in overdrive which can be good in niche situations, but 60% is sadly very low, if it was 100% would have been criminal tbf

Well, we had Bagpipe for a while now, and she's as meta as it gets, and also versatile with her skills. So yeah, Victorians (preper ones) are just built different.
Horn got so good in the 'unnamed light blue circle click game' because she moded the game so the blue circles had eyes and a pointy head. I would watch out yii 😅
Can confirm, that chair helped me improve at the unnamed game where you click circles to a beat.

if anyone said ok for using gravel just to proc nealter 20sec less redeploy time. it save to say using fast redeploy just to reveal one invisible enemy are more viable option... or just use your early deployed vanguard.

Been using E2 Horn for a while along with E2 Amiya and E1 Goldenglow. Because of them, I managed to clear stages that my E1 Operators aren't recommended to clear yet due to their level.
Nothing helps with an intro than redundant questions and a cool intro scene
Bro the only problem a lot of operators had was "having to hit an enemy" to become broken.
Then theres the new supporter that makes possible to spawn a machine that your operators can attack, imagine using this + Horn's skill in the middle of a crowd of invi enemies...

I'm pretty late, but that probably has to do with active frames of damage after the projectile lands being long enough to proc it at the same time the enemy is revealed

She's not that less tanky compared to other defender,her hp and def is the same as healing defender like Blemishine and Saria,so it's still quite good
Def is a bit lower and saria wins by increasing her def while being able to heal

My biggest complaint about Horn is that her S1 doesn't illuminate tiles in Kazimierz. It's a darkness mechanic and she has an attack described as illuminating the area but it doesn't light it up? Bullshit.
I really enjoy your videos but find myself minimizing most of them at certain points due to footage that spoil future stages and how to clear them. I like to clear things myself! lol

For casual or semi-casual players I'd actually say Skill 2 has top prio to M3 simply because it's very forgiving as versatile as it's the only skill of hers which also works with her meelee attacks. This means you do not have to think as hard about positioning, team comps etc.
I especially like to use it in IS mode as things rarely go according to plan in there and when shit hits the fan she often needs to get up close and personal with enemies.
Yeah I've found I use Skill 2 a lot more, especially as I don't need a nuker. I like the consistent damage of her skill 2. I know all of the bullets will hit something at least. I find skill 3 more situational
I started playing on the last day of ling's banner so i don't have many units yet and horn with ling has made the game so easy for me, i've pushed from chapter 6 to 8 with her and she worked on every map, the damage is incredible but the flexibility she adds is unbelievable. I can eliminate units before they even move from a very safe distance. I don't know how she will perform in CC high risk but she is a boss for story mode.

I got her, but I’ve been using Ashlock for a while so it’s hard for me to make the change lol
Ashlock is vastly inferior, especially since her second skill is basically an inferior version of Horn's third skill. It has about half of the SP cost so it can be used more often, but it has less than half uptime. Furthermore it gives less attack bonus and barely more than third of attack speed reduction. Her only talent is a worse version and self-only version of Horns to boot. Her stats other than HP are also lower.
In other words, unless you really want to use that 'no-block' effect of her second skill, there is virtually no reason why you couldn't just place Horn and do the job better.
Let's not forget that her first skill is strictly inferior to Horn's second skill (which has higher 'uptime' if no crazy attack speed bonuses are present, shorter cooldown, deals almost two and a half times as much damage AND gives splash to melee, on top of adding even more damage for half of the skills 'duration', which isn't wasted on times of no enemy either).
