And for the record, it's pretty expensive everywhere. I lived in a chithole in Jersey and that was expensive. Landlords aren't really making profit rn. I'd say they're breaking even. The places in demand are those like Florida and Texas right now after 2020. No one wants to live in NYC or Cali by choice. I don't even wanna be here in NJ across the river from Staten Island but I got no choice. But I can assure you as soon as I come into some money or have enough saved up, I'm out. That guy's right. 43th and 9th is one of the most crowded intersections in Manhattan. Many people sit in front of 400 W43rd building which many old people live there and so many delivery guys sit and wait for orders on the opposite side. Also there are many homeless and drug users around the area. It’s sad to say but this stuff is bound to happen on a regular basis.
It's not that they need more police, they just need to enforce existing laws. They act like this is a mystery when it's directly linked to the Mayor's and the DA's policies no bail requirement.

Same thing happened to my dad. The glass from his glasses cut his eye resulting in the loss of it. He was the instigator however. It was his reaction he had to the guy that prompted it.
