Thank you, that was a really clear description! My daughter just returned from a bisit to a charity shop. She found not only a whole bundle of embroidered pieces she could use for patches, some Jameson and Smith Spindrift yarns, I think they might be leftovers from a colourwork sweater, but also, 2 vintage crochet books! Written instructions only, but I can cope with that! One was obviously supposed to know what one was doing as there are no stitch explanations. Beautiful patterns though!

Thank you for this!! I have been learning for about 3 weeks and finally decided to focus on each stitch instead of learning as I go. I have a booklet for the basics but this one didnt have an image and it was confusing me. When inserting the hook into the chain, is it the centre or the top loop of the chain? I cant quite tell here and the book doesn’t say. Ive tried both but in the centre seems to look best in my work. You’ve probably said but Ive done so much practice this morning with sound and subtitles on and off as my partner is doing calls for work that ive fried my brain 😆 Really pleased with how this has come out all the same!
