    I've only seen the first two episodes, I preferred the book, but these reactions made me cry. The NHS and the people who work there really are humanity at it's best.

      I also read the book and watch the series, I don’t think we should be discrediting the series adaption as I think it brings the stories of NHS workers to life

    That's been the same way for junior Drs for many years & it's got to Stop, there's far to much pressure on them & sadly many people die due to this even though I Don't blame the Dr, the hours they work is I think proven that we can't function properly after so many hours work & No rest or sleep so why expect inexperienced Drs to tackle everything that comes through the door, yes they need to learn but they can't when they're so tired & many can't handle the pressure & feel they've failed everyone & take there own life, rules need to change Now & they need support in every step like anyone starting a new job. X😎🐘

      Adam Kay has said that things are better for junior doctors now, compared to when he was a junior doctor. That said, I assume the hours and conditions are still bad.
      But I agree, there has to be a better way to train our doctors. Over working them is not good for them, their colleagues or the patients.

    I could be wrong but I’ve always been told that you shouldn’t push a cord prolapse back in (just keep it warm to prevent vasospasm), it you should push back the presenting part of the baby so it doesn’t compress the cord. Anybody know if this is right?

    • @danekaulukou-chang6819
      @danekaulukou-chang6819 Před 11 měsíci +3

      correct! pushing it back in could compress the cord + interfere w/ blood supply from placenta to baby

    I've realized we really really need more doctors. The workload is massive because of the abysmal ratio of doctors to patients. Med schools have to be competitive but they need to add more seats so more people interested in the medical field can become doctors. And the money that goes towards wrong people like celebrities and politicians needs to go to government hospitals.

    A Doctor, 5 years at Medical College, + 2 years on the job training + further for a specialist branch. A Vet 7 years at Vet College, + 2 years on the job training, + further for a specialist branch. Something is wrong somewhere. I know a Dr. is only dealing with one species, but surely we deserve better treatment or do we?

    • @itsonlysound
      @itsonlysound Před 2 lety +1

      Better treatment than what? Animals?

    • @selinathoma140
      @selinathoma140 Před 2 lety +12

      But you wont get treated any worse..? As you said, Vets have to learn about multiple species, Human doctors only one, so if you think about it, human docters learn that long about one species. There is only so much you can learn about one species, also dont forget that there are different departnent they specialize in, so they keep on learning after school too. But Vets have a whole nother depth, so much more to learn, animals cant tell you whats wrong either.

    • @hollyehlen9307
      @hollyehlen9307 Před 2 lety +6

      Vets patients can’t stand up and tell the doctor their symptoms, and most of the time they hide them, it is a lot of investigation work required by vets and vet nurses to try and help animals in need

    • @Ionabrodie69
      @Ionabrodie69 Před 2 lety

      So what you’re saying is Animals don’t deserve to be treated as well as Humans… ? 🙄🇬🇧

    • @tonys1636
      @tonys1636 Před 2 lety

      @@Ionabrodie69 No, it's that the NHS is a victim of its own success. If we didn't block waiting rooms with minor ailments and injuries, just used it for serious conditions and had a regular medical every year or three as is compulsory with some professions then many conditions would be picked up on early. I failed an RN medical in the late 60's (it took 2 days of intense examination) as they were concerned of something blowing up at sea, it's never caused a problem in the 50 odd years since. The profession I ended up doing involved a full medical every three years, done by a GP but privately.
