Considering the Anschütz 308 is one of the few weapons that is allowed to use an Aimpoint I am quite happy with this news.
thats very good news... the .308 rifles were my most hated rifles in the game, but this clearly fixed them... Big Thumbs up!!
I'm guessing that the performance of the .308 handguns didn't change since you didn't cover that ?!?

Anschütz 308 was one of my first bought weapons. I was disappointed with lack of power. Still one of my favorites i really like the sound, fast reload, now with power upgrade OMG, love it.
Haven't played theHunter Classic in a looong time, miss the game but don't have the time. Imo the .308W was fine as it was, but the 6,5x55 should get a buff. It is a common cartridge here in Sweden and frequently used for moose with great results, but as far as i remember you can't hunt moose in Classic with it. Should be able to since it's a class 1 firearm/caliber in Sweden, where Avalanche is located.
Yeah totally agree with you. The funny thing about the 6.5x55mm ammunition box is that there's a picture of an elk even though you can't even shoot them with it.
Agree, some calibers make no sense in my opinion.
You can hunt coyotes with a 9.3x74R, this round is powerful enough to hunt safari game, following classic's logic it should never be able to hunt coyotes, it would blow a coyote to pieces.

The second one was my first rifle I bought, it was good with deers but not with big animals, finally I ended up using it rarely on wild boar driven hunts, looks like it's gonna be my official driven hunting gun

I'm glad the 308 rifles got buffed. They it seemed like they had the same power as a 243 and the 308 is way bigger than the 243. Also great review. I just bought the 308 carbon and I drop stuff in their tracks at 150+m

In my inventory all the .308 ammo was converted into the handgun variety, and it was the rifle ammo I needed to buy. Just because you said the rifle keeps using the same ammunition, in my case it was the other way around. Maybe it depends on what you used last? Because I haven't used the .308 rifle for ages, and the .308 handgun recently. It's not important, I'm happy for the power boost, I was just wondering. Thanks for the video!
It was the same for me, I think they simply renamed the original ammo and gave it a new picture, but locked it to the handgun.
That would explain why, all things considered, the .308 handgun is still rather bad.

Loved the last photo. I started playing classic to but I can't figure out how to take a trophy shot. Which button do I click.? Thnx for the video
The bear pose is also included in today's update. Must be bought in the store though.

You harvest the animal, and on the harvest screen instead of clicking "resume game" you click "trophy shot".

Looks like the .308 now has more power than .30-06? I hated the .308 in the game, it was somewhat realistic tho, as .308 lacks power over 100m with copper bullets. The bullet doesn't open up properly unlike lead bullet. So I've heard at least.

Hi, I wanted to ask you something about the game. When I host a server and a friend wants to log in, he always throws it out, I couldn't connect to host-restart the game, just like me when I want to go to the server with him. If you know what that could be, I would be very grateful
Unfortunately I don't know the solution. There are many servers I cannot join either.

Still would recommende 9.3x74 over 308. Unless you want to do missions, since some of them require 308. Hell and in my personal opinion .308 is ugly, but you know, that does not affect the game in any way.

It is a feature in the game, for me its when i click Y, might be other key for you

Yes. TruRACS was invented in Classic already back in 2012. All animals use TruRACS, not just antlered ones. For example, a wild boar's tusk will score exactly as it looks.

How did you highlight the dead bears?
It is the key that you use to activate/deactivate the sunglasses effect. It is Z for most keyboards any Y on my Swiss keyboard.

The latter if you are ok with the lower ammo capacity.
I would get the .300 if you care about missions.

Both rifles are excellent (.308 since this update) for their permitted species.
@@HooCairs I still do not understand why the 9.3s go down all the way to coyotes.
The 9.3x74R especially was created for hunting in the German African colonies and is still considered a caliber for medium to big game animals here often used for boar hunting.
And 308 rival? Its different?
No change in performance was done for the handguns.
