In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Komedie
The look on Alex's face when Munya said "legend" after his name is heartwarming.
When Munya pointed out that the Rorschach inkblot was his silhouette, I had to go back and check that the others also had their own inkblot portraits. Nice attention to detail!

I noticed it on Dara's, I thought it was just a coincidence.
The fact that most contestants jump on board bullying Alex makes it extra endearing when they decide to be friends instead.

Wow, I adore these interviews. They're a great showcase for both Alex's lowkey comedy and the personalities of the contestants. You really feel more intrigued by them right away, whereas for each series it typically takes me half of the episodes to start really liking the contestants.

I will always be grateful for Taskmaster introducing me, every single series, to fantastic comedians and comedic personas that I hadn't heard of before.
I agree! I live downunder and didn't know some of the celebrities in different series but by the end of their season, I felt like I knew them really well and not one of them disappointed me. I find this when I watch other countries Taskmasters as well. I enjoy the NZ edition and know very few of the comedians on that, but again, by the end they feel like long lost friends I'd be happy to reacquaint with in the future. Great show!
Jazz hands at the start of bubble bath is absolutely essential
I've never heard anyone else talk about it, but it's absolutely spot on
Every sentence is too good. When Munya says "When people make bubble baths" Alex muttering "If" under his breath is just pure "hyappiness" inducing.

I had to go back to the previous interviews to confirm that they all have their faces in the rorschach profiles. That's amazing. And incredible that only Munya has noticed it.
This makes me think that he may actually find the secret hints and whatnot. Can't wait to find out.
Munya just seems like a pleasant fellow. And I appreciate any man with strong and correct opinions about bubble bath.

Munya is 100% about bubble bath, you have to put in the work with your underwater jazz hands. I learned this as a kid and it changed my life.
Pour it in the same place as the running water when you first start running the bath. Loads now bubbles. No jazz hands needed.
No idea what to make of this series coming in, but Munya might be my favorite, based on this interview.

These are the best contestant interviews to date. Though Bridget's walk last series was also hilarious.

I dunno, Catherine Parkinson's increasing levels of identity crisis or the "I've got a question.......FOR you" are near the top.

These interviews were presumably fiendishly designed by Alex to create tension and awkwardness for comedic purposes. All others have fallen victim to his plan, to our amusement, admittedly. Munya, however, was smoothly riding the waves of Hornian absurdity.
Feel like I saw Alex’s life changed in an instant with that bit about the toaster.

I updated my laptop with Windows 11, version 22H2 Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and when I next opened Microsoft Edge that had a pop-up promoting a free vpn with them. Might save you a few pennies down the line for seasons to come...

Feels like the sort of thing that The People's Taskmaster podcast would do. I think that's what it's called* (if it's still going). I've never listened to it and just stick with the main Ed Gamble hosted one, that's enough for me.
