Because the wearer can’t smell it doesn’t mean that it isn’t performing. Creed (SMW, Aventus, Royal Oud) in general gets compliments well after 6, 8, and 10+ hours.

Creed silver mountain water is the shit and if your looking you can get it for a lil over 200 on the gray market I have a F batch that goes crazy with 2 sprays on my skin
I have a 2022 batch of silver mountain water and it easily lasts for 12 hrs with decent projection. Everyone’s skin is a little different. Definitely sample before buying. That being said. Interested in trying this frag as well! Appreciate the recommendations.

Anosmia is real with Aventus, almost killed someone after I oversprayed because I couldn't detect the scent!
I just went to Nordstrom, and got to smell some Tom Ford and Creed fragrances. It was really cool. The lady working there even made me a sample to take home. She asked which one I wanted, and I just randomly chose Silver Mountain Water. I got to try Greenley from PDM too, and I went to the Louis Vuitton store and tried Imagination too. I was planning on buying a 100 ml bottle of that, but the pricing is frustrating. It's $320 for a 100 ml but like $450 for 200 ml so it's frustrating to pay more per ounce, but at the same time I didn't want to spend $500, even if that's how much Creed costs for half the volume.
Interesting suggestion. Ormonde Jayne is great, but it is a very different fragrance to me. If you really want smw vibes, mefisto from casamorati is a lot closer. But that has been said many times of course. 😁
I love my SMW but I don’t even use it bc the performance blows! It doesn’t last long at all! Once I spray it on my skin literally 10-15 min later I can barely smell it. Oh and I bought it from a reputable department store retailer
it's because your brain ignores the smell after being so close to it, it's kind of how your brain ignores your nose when you look straight but if you try hard enough you can still see it, others around you can smell it just not you if that makes sense

Maybe newer batches of SMW are weaker as most Creed's are. It's one of my signature scents so i have baches that go back over 10 years now, possibly more. Those perform NUCLEAR and back then i was able to get them for 200-260 US$ if I paid cash. For the 4.2 ounce, i think it was absolutely worth it. I am biast though. I have incredible memories attached to this fragrance. It will always be one of my signatures. What Creed has done to their fragrances is absolutely criminal. From saying the Creeds were the perfumers when they weren't, the long ridiculous descriptions of how "royal" their frags are, to now charging more money for a subpar product. If i didn't have so many bottles of the old formulations, i don't think i would pay what they ask even at discounters. Probably just go with Armaf Sillage.
Maharjan silver is supposedly to clone SMW and honestly gave me 2 real compliments from women (strangers) which I have never gotten from any other fragrances

Don’t hurt to have both. I wear them in 2 total different ways and situations.
My trade off would be Wulong Cha. Same vibe and cheaper amongst the 3.

An even cheaper alternative as others have mentioned is Armaf Sillage. Smells 90% similar but lasts an age compared to SMW..
