@@hayatzor6249 some tips (lol i’m not an professional)
•if you’re drawing a character in the background draw the background first and then add the character (if you’re drawing digital)
•if you’re drawing from your fantasy find a lot of references for things (table, window, tree, water etc)
      • remember that backgrounds has shading and that if you’re in a place with windows, lamps or the sun or something the light comes from a place.
      • start with the most important things and then detail more
-i really hope this helpes (as i said im not a pro) and dont take my word as facts and all backgrounds is diff so this might not help lol

I’ve been stuck in a realism loop recently, so this is super helpful. When I first started drawing I’d always want to be more realistic, but now that I’ve had so much experience and it’s gotten instinctive, it’s not what I want hahaha...
It reminds me of when I learned how to spin wool. The instructor kept saying that spinning the wool thickly was a blessing, because once she learned how to spin finely she could never seem to spin thickly. I didn’t understand at the time, but that’s how it is for me and realistic art.
I guess we’ll always want what we don’t have lmao. Anyways, to all the baby artists out there, what makes you seem inexperienced is so lovely and I’m so proud of all the work you put it

I used to be terrible at watercolors (still not the best but it's a tricky medium lol, regardless I did improve). Keep in mind watercolors spread where water is, so if you don't want paint to spread somewhere wait for it to dry. As a medium you do get what you paid for, don't use cheap $1 paints on printer paper. Also feel free to try watercolor pencils to start off with because they have more control.

    4 goals. Alright. Lesgoo
I do this every year but I have a really hard sticking to things, either way I guess I'll just put these here :)
° backgrounds. I really need to practice more on these, because I love the idea of drawing cities etc I'm just always afraid I wouldnt be able to, or that it would turn out sucky. But I wanna try!
°more fluid poses. I don't want my character looking too stiff, also drawing different body types would be good. Basically just studying anatomy in general.
°drawing animals. I literally never do this but I should probably give it a shot, I don't want to limit myself to just drawing humans.
°expressions. The way I draw my characters makes me sad sometimes, every time I think I've found my style I start to dislike it, how do I find a way of drawing that I like and can create fun characters with?
And yeah I guess that's it. Welp I hope I can achieve these sometime soon haha. Just gotta get started!

My art goals this year make my webtoon i don’t think I draw well but I’ll give it a shot 😊

  • @twinkiesthezombiedog1768

I have been drawing for almost over 5 years and I think I've improved so much from stuff before I couldn't draw anime and animals but as the years went by, I realized that me trying my best and seeing the flaws and beautiful aspects of my art made me able to draw new things! So if you think that you can't draw something just know that practice doesn't make perfect because no art is perfect or imperfect! Of course all different types of art has flaws but If you see those flaws you can learn to do better and see the right and wrong of your art! Learn from your mistakes! Art takes a lot of time but you just have to be patient! You're not gonna draw a blob then a human in under 2 days of course but just know that all the great artist you see have been at the level once in their life! But here are my goals in life!:
    -Poses
    -Get better at realism
-Learn, do research, and progress in different species on earth's anatomy
-Draw things I never drew before
    -Draw more nature things
    -scenes and backgrounds
-Try out different designs and art styles (Rn I have 3 art styles)
    -Try out different shapes
-See the good and flaws of art to progress and improve more
-ask people's opinions on my art to learn more

I have always had this practice technique where i draw a young looking face without much detail and in a very sloppy scribbly kind of way i add more and more detail, focusing mostly on bone structure like cheeks and chin, as well as lines and wrinkles, and kind of watch the face get older as i add more lines and definition to the bone structure. Also, in regards to your garbage truck experience, i have a friend that ive known since 1st grade that only draws cars. We of course drew alot together as kids, and i would draw pretty normal stuff ( robots and ninjas... it was the 80's) he only drew cars. We're 40 years old now, i draw, paint, sculpt, he draws cars 😅. He is amazing at it, but he still will not draw anything else!

I honestly needed this a lot (I stg social media reads minds now hahah). When I first started drawing, I too did have a really intensive anime/Steven Universe/Adventure Time phase. I would always doodle little faces and eyes in the corner of my papers and assignments and I was determined to stick with a certain style because it was comforting both physically (with muscle memory and things like that) and mentally (comfort characters). It was realllly bad considering that I didn't bother wanting to learn proper anatomy until just last year, so all of my art looked like super crappy renditions of what someone would think would be in a certain show. I finally sat down with myself and told myself that I needed to draw a lot more outside of those genres considering that's not really what's being looked for in industry work and I finally have an art sketchbook full of just general studies and challanges (Ahmed Aldoori's 50/100 head challange, etc). Of course, I still love it, but I definitely needed to branch out considering that all of my art started to look the same. Before the pandemic forced everyone home, I took a figure drawing class at my university and it opened my mind a lot considering that we had different models come into the class for us to draw. It definitely got me out of my comfort zone of drawing more things like male faces, different body types, etc.
Now, I'm in university with animation as my major and, although I'm still freaked out about it (I never thought I would get accepted. My portfolio was extremely last minute), I'm really excited because this will really push me to start diversifying and really tapping into my own creative potential and drive to draw and create new things, both with character design and 2D/3D animation in general.
Thank you so much for this video! The encouragement was well needed. :)

I draw cute girls, I draw landscapes, and I draw objects.
My art goals: draw more boys! More body types! Get better at posing! Put landscapes, objects, and people in t he same picture! Draw animals! Draw nude people!
I definitely have a while to go, but I’m sure I can do it!
Also, I love doing at commissions but I always end up getting commissioned by some middle-aged couple wanting me to draw a sunset or maybe if I’m lucky someone asking me to paint a realistic portrait, and it’s great because I can do it on my own time and make money, while also being able to do university without a care in the world. Though, it’s a bit boring and I’m thinking of just having my customers buy already made prints, or advertising in a different community, as I’m getting a bit stressed while drawing things I don’t like drawing. While yes, I want to get out of my comfort zone, I’ve drawn these things a lot and I’d rather make it with something I’m passionate about.

    • @mewTripled
      @mewTripled  Před 3 lety +3

Hey! I dont fully know the whole experience but i know of people who went to Sheridan in Canada which is a lot cheaper and I noticed tends to focus more on the 2d animation element when it comes to student films. Concept design academy and brainstorm are other options that arent formal education and have online options :)

Here's a tip I discovered yesterday. Far away objects should be less detailed. You can get away with drawing vague scribbles in the shape of trees to depict a forest in the distance. Literally scribbling on the page will work. Often kids's drawings will draw the entire triangle shape for a far away tree where a simple scribble shape will suffice

Does anybody have the same kind of problem as me? I'm good at drawing more realistic things and like portraits and stuff with real life reference and I'm more good at shading and stuff like that in that kind of style but when it comes to more cartoony styles, anime styles, and just generally very stylish ones, I can't draw good...... I mean if there is a reference then I can like "copy" it or something but I don't like doing that so I think I don't have a stylistic sense or something? I really want to draw more anime/cute styles since I grew up watching them but I feel like I can't draw expressively enough if u know what I mean :(
