This song came out when I was in high school and my wrestling squad would always come out and work out before a meet to this song. We had it synchronized so that we were doing our running, pushups, stretches, and other exercises in full view of the other team while this song blared on the speakers. Many times they stood and stared at us so long it interrupted their warm-up and it quite frankly scared the hell out of them. I think this song probably got us 12-18 points in every meet that season. A bunch of us got tickets to see them when they came to town. They are amazing in concert! Thanks Def Leppard!!

I agree with Jay that "Armageddon It" has a more "pop" sound than some of their out-and-out rockers, but it was still one of the best songs on this album. Not that there was a bad one on it. (The only one I am at all sick of 35 years later is "Pour Some Sugar On Me," simply because it was played nonstop on radio and in my opinion is the most formulaic song on Hysteria.)

The footage from the video is pretty historic... taken from the live concert video "In the round, in your face"... It captured Def Leppard at a peak during the 'Hysteria' tour between 1988 - '89, which was also the last tour featuring original guitarist Steve Clark - the band's rock star, who sadly died in 1991 after a long battle w/ alcohol and drug addiction.
A lot of Def Leppard songs are prominent from the 80's, but their work in the 90's and beyond should also be check out... songs like 'Tonight'... 'Desert song'... 'Work it out'... 'Promises'... 'Heaven is' ... 'Slang'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥

Desert Song is amazing, mostly insturmental, but amazing nonetheless. I'd add 'All I want is everything' to the list as well, one of their best slow songs and should be much more well known.

I was at the concert in Atlanta where they shot the extra footage for this video. It was a school night and my friend’s aunt drove us 5 hours to get to the show. The concert was fire and we were so excited about the video footage, though we were so far back in the nosebleeds we would never get on camera. 😂

Def Leopard is in a class of their own. Worked for them and other Arena Rock bands in the late 80s and early 90s They made time for their fans and the people working for them. I remember I was talking to my wife on a pay phone back stage before a show one time and the band walked up to me asking who I was talking to. Told them it was my wife. Joe Elliott grabbed the phone and just had a casual 5 minute phone conversation with her.

I've been to two or three dozen concerts in the 80's from all of the popular hair bands and this was by far the most entertaining of them all. I'll never forget this concert. The four-sided stage was so unique. So much fun.

What's up!! I saw Def Leppard back in 2017 at a Rock Fest. Let me tell you, for their ages, these men could still put on a show. They even did a few numbers to let us know they were actually singing. I'm sure they didn't sing the whole way because they also did a little performance (not as energetic as the 80's) but let me tell y'all, it was bomb. These guys are like "You could lip sync all the way and I wouldn't care" kind of good. It was nice and they did have that presence.

This video comes from their world tour during which they used the "in the round" like a Shakespeare play; something no other band had ever done before. They said it was an interesting but exhausting experience. So they wouldn't ever do it again. They had realized that at any given moment they would have their backs to some part of their audience. So they had to always be on the move to give everybody their money's worth by getting to see them, which, after all, was why they bought their tickets.

One of my favorites from Def Leppard. If you noticed a couple of their videos they look the same same concert that they matched up with studio recording for a great MTV video videos and if I do remember you can't really tell but the stage was revolving that's why each one was in a different corner of the stage cuz it rotated and the crowd got to see everybody. And again I might be late with this info but at least the video was today LOL. I was introduced to Def Leppard walking back from school and saw cassette tape in the gutter of the street. I picked it up and it was Def leppard's first high and dry. Been complete fan ever since. When my one and only nephew was of age it was Hysteria I introduced him to as he started playing the guitar he's been a rock and roll buff ever since composes his own music on his guitar got his own CZcams . He hasn't done much late since his dad my brother passed away 3 years ago. Rest in peace Nick. Good for Amber to catch the double meaning of the word, are you getting it? Well Armageddon it. Blessed be and rock on

This tour was fantastic. They had a tall square stage set up right in the middle of arenas so the guys hit all four sides entertaining the crowds just like Amber was talking about. The stage was tall enough they could take breaks in a room underneath and the legend is that they had girls waiting for them under there. Fantastic tour!!

I never truly appreciated this music in the 80s as much as I do now. It was a staple of Much Music in Canada and I saw this video a lot back then but truly listen now! Just saw them at Rogers Centre in Toronto last Friday. They're still awesome
