- The Flex Paste commercial is everywhere, and it sure seems like a miracle product that can seal up just about anything, from a wine barrel gushing with water, to a boat constructed with chicken wire. But does it live up to the hype? Inside Edition decided to put the claims to the test, with the help of students at the Grove School of Engineering in New York City and chemical engineering professor Raymond Tu. It took the students three days to construct a boat like that seen in the ad. #InsideEdition
Flex Seal is the only company that actually passes inside edition’s tests, meaning they’re a company with integrity.

The product was 100% sold to me when a bunch of woodworkers casually patched resin leaks using it 😂 so rare to have good products nowadays. Almost makes me wish I did work that would require anything from them

3 years ago we had an emergency leak of the moderating water pipe for a nuclear plant and we were able to apply flex seal,and stop the leak immediately. So we never had to SCRAM the reactor. NRC inspector was impressed.
This guy is wholesome , he congratulated the reporter on their success and said he was happy when he had the opportunity to brag about his business like others do.

I bought a used 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse Fabric Convertible. I bought it for real cheap because the convertible top was leaking when it rains. Upholstery and auto shops was trying to charger me thousands to replace or fix it. But I decided to go to Home Depot and bought flex seal and some paint rollers and I painted a thin layer of flex seal on the whole fabric convertible. I tested it out 2 days later by going through a car wash and I had no leaks! And the convertible was still flexible to have it go up and down. I spent like $40. And the convertible top looked brand new. If anyone got a leaking fabric convertible top, I recommend using flex seal!

I waterproofed a not waterproof electric scooter with flex tape and flex seal (used seal where I couldn’t get the tape like small areas), and I have ridden the escooter through heavy rain storms, just about every deep puddle I could find, and even washed it with a hose, and the escooter still works perfectly. The stuff works, rarely do “as seen on tv” products work, but this stuff really does.
I’m surprised the paste was that successful. Normally these telemarketing commercials seem to be giant scams, but apparently not this. Well done 👍

To Phil Swift and everyone - I live in a multilevel home and for years I've had troubles with my bathtub leaking when you took a shower. I seen the flex-seal commercial and decided to try it on my bathtub as a seal around it and the wall covering. I am here to tell you for over 3 years it's been on there and not one leak! This stuff works!

Now one bit was overlooked here...the finished price of the wire mesh boat covered in the most expensive paste Home Depot sells...I am guessing that boat ran them around $2-3 thousand dollars if they paid full price. I made an aircraft carrier out of cardboard, and then coated the entire thing in Flex Seal. It kept the inside completely dry, and it floats.

The price is the only real draw back to using this stuff lots. The price you payed to cover that boat is probably more than an actual boat would have cost.
I used flex paint to seal my basement wall and it perfectly worked. Only problem is that a year later moisture started creeping out from the paint which is coming from the wall and it grew mold which i had to spray with anti mold chemical. I hope flex seal can make a product that is anti moisture soon.
Phil Swift is one of the best guys on the internet, glad to see Inside Edition make videos like these. They really do put in a lot of effort for less than 3 minutes of outstanding content.

I used Flex-Seal to seal up some holes and cracks in the roof of my work truck. Rain kept getting in and leaking all over my dash and knees. After a day of letting it dry and settle it sealed those holes right up. That stuff is amazing. 🤯🤯🤯
They call it "Flex Paste" because "Bucket of Caulk" didn't have the same ring to it.

I 100% agree. I have no use. I bought a can as a joke. Then i decided to paint my car rims black with flex seal. Looks great! My moms car hood was peeling paint? Flex sealed the whole thing. Did it chip? Sure. To fix? Just a quick spray.
