@@JeffSpicoli80 If you want read scripts, I suggest using WhatsApp. Google/Samsung is actually working on RCS - Rich Communications Services - which is basically iMessage for Android/Samsung Messages. But its a long way and I personally don't expect it until 4-5 years from now, and even if it happens, I do not know if iOS to Android - and vice versa - read scripts will work.

That "adapter" is really a "OTG" Device and used for what you are doing, also good for using external mouse/keyboard and flash drives. very use full and expensive piece of hardware, which you can buy on amazon.

Well, I'm actually switching to a new phone. On my old phone i have different mods of a game. There's a game on the playstore and i got it hacked by a mod menu. The problem is that i have more than 20 mod menu's of my favorite game. You can find it in my old phone if you go to 'My Storage' -> 'Download History'. I know there's a way to transfer them. But do I need to click on 'Documents' or 'Apps' while transfering how you showed us in the video?

i got just my S10 last night and immediately hooked up my now-retired iph 6s to do the data transfer. although it isnt quite as seamless like from an Android to Android phone, the most important stuff got transferred without problems :) after 2 years of ios wilderness, glad to be back in the Android fold with style and power!

How do you switch if the charging port on my S8 is buggered? Basically I can't plug in any cable but I thought Smart Switch worked wirelessly? Doesn't seem to work for me so am I missing something?
Buggered in what way? If you mean that a charge cable wont say in well, the port is likely just dirty. That was the problem with mine. I saw a video here that showed how to make a pick using a piece of thin flat plastic to pull out the compacted fine dust/lint/debris in the port. My port works like new now.

If every photos is on your SD card then yes. Most likely you contacts are backed up to Google but this apps just make sure everything is synced over like the apps you have downloaded and another other files you may have missed.
Hey Brett. I know this is an older video, but I'm in the process of switching from an S8+ to the S10+ and am really trying to get all of my data, apps, media etc. transferred from my old phone to the new phone in one shot and do the steps in the correct order so that the end result will be just like in your video here. The last time I swapped phones I ran into several issues transferring a lot of my personal preferences to the new phone like my home screen layout, folders and apps arrangement etc. I've also run into some issues in the past with data being duplicated or simply left out of the transfer completely. My question is regarding what order to the steps in to get the same results you were able to get at the end of the video? At the beginning of the video you said that it's a good idea to start by activating your new phone & setting it up first, but when you set up your new phone, part of the process is logging into your google & samsung accounts. Your video started with Samsung switch and after it completed you mentioned that we would need to go into our google and other accounts to complete transferring all of our data & personalized settings to the new phone. So should I follow the same steps, in the exact same order as you did in the video or should I log into my google & samsung accts. at the beginning & activation of my new S10+ & then complete the transfer process using Samsung Switch? If you could clarify what order I should do each step in to achieve the same results as you, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

But won't be purchasing as I just upgraded to the Galaxy S9+ in December 2018, a week before Christmas when my Galaxy S7 edge died and I needed a new phone and couldn't wait for the S10 to come out... I've just compared my new s10 and old s8 in terms of size. The s10 is slightly wider - the s8 is a great feeling phone in the hand.

That "adapter" is really a "OTG" Device and used for what you are doing, also good for using external mouse/keyboard and flash drives. very use full and expensive piece of hardware, which you can buy on amazon.

I'm actually switching to a new phone.
On my old phone i have different mods of a game.
There's a game on the playstore and i got it hacked by a mod menu.
The problem is that i have more than 20 mod menu's of my favorite game. You can find it in my old phone if you go to 'My Storage' -> 'Download History'.
I know there's a way to transfer them.
But do I need to click on 'Documents' or 'Apps' while transfering how you showed us in the video?
Great video @Brett! Just a couple of questions... At the beginning you skipped the Samsung account setup. Is it because it is better to do it after or because the info got copied over from the S8? Same for the security (pattern and fingerprints), will they get copied over or I have to re-configure them after the copy.

i got just my S10 last night and immediately hooked up my now-retired iph 6s to do the data transfer. although it isnt quite as seamless like from an Android to Android phone, the most important stuff got transferred without problems :)
after 2 years of ios wilderness, glad to be back in the Android fold with style and power!

You use the charge cable from the previous phone plus the adapter of the Note 10, assuming one end of that cable is oldschool USB.

How do you switch if the charging port on my S8 is buggered? Basically I can't plug in any cable but I thought Smart Switch worked wirelessly? Doesn't seem to work for me so am I missing something?
Buggered in what way? If you mean that a charge cable wont say in well, the port is likely just dirty. That was the problem with mine. I saw a video here that showed how to make a pick using a piece of thin flat plastic to pull out the compacted fine dust/lint/debris in the port. My port works like new now.

If every photos is on your SD card then yes. Most likely you contacts are backed up to Google but this apps just make sure everything is synced over like the apps you have downloaded and another other files you may have missed.
Hey Brett. I know this is an older video, but I'm in the process of switching from an S8+ to the S10+ and am really trying to get all of my data, apps, media etc. transferred from my old phone to the new phone in one shot and do the steps in the correct order so that the end result will be just like in your video here. The last time I swapped phones I ran into several issues transferring a lot of my personal preferences to the new phone like my home screen layout, folders and apps arrangement etc. I've also run into some issues in the past with data being duplicated or simply left out of the transfer completely.
My question is regarding what order to the steps in to get the same results you were able to get at the end of the video? At the beginning of the video you said that it's a good idea to start by activating your new phone & setting it up first, but when you set up your new phone, part of the process is logging into your google & samsung accounts. Your video started with Samsung switch and after it completed you mentioned that we would need to go into our google and other accounts to complete transferring all of our data & personalized settings to the new phone. So should I follow the same steps, in the exact same order as you did in the video or should I log into my google & samsung accts. at the beginning & activation of my new S10+ & then complete the transfer process using Samsung Switch?
If you could clarify what order I should do each step in to achieve the same results as you, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

But won't be purchasing as I just upgraded to the Galaxy S9+ in December 2018, a week before Christmas when my Galaxy S7 edge died and I needed a new phone and couldn't wait for the S10 to come out...
