As a guitarist I think your videos are a pleasure to watch. Top quality in video production and editing with a reel charming approach that I've not seen from many musician CZcamsrs.👍

I started in music production 3 years ago and so far I have been paid $0.00. In the meantime, I work as a photographer and do courier work on the side. The money I make there has fed my music investment. It has worked out for me. Even though I haven't made any money yet, I feel I've made good progress. Whether or not I'm able to breakthrough in music (my long-term goal), it's important to plan for the possibility that I will never profit from music and that it is just a creative/healing outlet. That thought kind of sucks, but I've accepted it.

I think diversifying is pretty essential now, not that I'm good at it.
I recently played guitar on a friend's album and it's made me think I should maybe offer up that to more people. It's not in my 'plan' but who knows where these things can lead.

Technology advancements = more competition with creators. But the quality-cost curve has not fully fleshed out yet. The best will rise to the top, but a lot of success is based on networking with people.

I'm pretty critical, and good at picking out defects in sound and instruments, etc. And you have a light out on your back wall. See? ;)

completely disagree of getting a dayjob thats related to music. it will kill the passion that you have for music and will make you hate it over time. at the least it will connect the term "music" in your head to "work" and "effort" in a negative way. DO NOT, get a dayjob related to music.

Really depends what that job is. you have to work regardless and most people dont want to do something that absolutely hate. Unless u gonna make money directly from the music or mixing for people why not get a job in the music industry as an engineer easier said than done but that's what I did

He is talking about getting a job in music Because You Want a Job in Music. In order to get hired for your dream job, it is a good idea to learn other parts of the industry and network While being able to pay your bills.

I feel like there's a lot of people who want/wish to be musicians and producers who would be much better served (and likely way more successful) if they kept those dreams as hobbies and found a way to support the musicians and producers in their orbits who actually have what it takes to be professionals in the legit Music Business. The Music *Dreams* business is REAL, and is is NOT the Music Business... which does not, or should not, devalue it. I only wish those in the Dreams biz were more honest about it, and then maybe we'd have plenty of talented people who are building valuable businesses around these "backdoor" supporting roles... all of which are vital, as you well know, to making a successful career in the Music Business.

Get a low effort homeoffice job, do only the necessary work and use the extra time to make music.
