- Solo Winter Camping in a Snow Storm. I spent a night solo winter camping in my 4runner during a snow storm. The temperature got down to -1F when I last checked but no clue what it got to late at night. The snow just kept falling.
I will have a completely silent version of all my winter camping videos.

what was the light on the tripod?
@@lukedouglas6781 it’s called a Devos Light ranger. I have a code for it if you are interested. There’s more about it in this video: Best Camp Light - Devos Light Ranger

Yea, what ladder are ya running?
Which hose are you running off the heater into the tent?
Two things I hate more than ever in a video is ;
A video going on and on and on without anyone talking and An Overland thinking we need to know
how to build a fire 🔥 😢
Just ordered my 4Runner. I just cannot wait any longer to do this myself. Great video OX.
Sick, that’s exciting!
2 is 1 and 1 is none!!!! Great video!!💪🏻
Thanks!
Really nice video and great tip on the diesel heater exhaust system. Beautiful scenery!!!
Living my dream man ! Lucky you
Lol I wish I could do this all the time. Gotta have a day job too sadly
Good content like always J ! 🙏💯
Thanks! Appreciate it
Wow winter snow 👍nice video
Thanks! Much appreciated!
I love camping in the snow and winter, it was great❄️🌨️
Yeah I really like it. Prefer it with friends but not many people are into it.
Nice. We’re spoiled out here in SoCal. I keep telling Mrs. Six that we need to snow camp… she’s not so excited with the idea.
I moved here mostly for the snow. Try to get out snowboarding as much as possible but it’s also developed into a winter camping thing as well.
Lmao.. That last clip. 😅🤙🏼
Trying to figure out how to make my bumper less slick in the snow. Maybe skateboard grip tape?
@@OXFOOT Yeah, that’d prolly work great! Clean, and replaceable when needed. 🤘🏼⚡️🤙🏼
@@joemamamia1751 yeah it’s really a hazard because it usually happens once per trip so I have to really be careful.
@@OXFOOT Absolutely. I was tent camping earlier in the season (Fall), in my parents’ backyard… I was adding a tarp as a massive rainstorm had just begun, and slipped as I went to step over my fly-line… I instinctually went to brace myself on a yard ornament, topped with a cast iron fleur-de-lis (⚜️), the stake collapsed and I empaled myself, near the center of my ear, quickly ripping my ear in two in the blink of an eye. Lol… No worries, a quick trip to urgent care, 42 spicy stitches, and I was “whole” again. Long story long, I was alone when it happened- AND I was lucky. Missed my eye, my temple, my throat… Could have been so much worse. I was in town, celebrating my moms bday, my folks were away on a day-trip to the coast. Accidents happen. Best to avoid the likelihood of such when possible. 😅🤙🏼
@@joemamamia1751 Jesus that wild! A kid my freshman year died from being impaled by one of those while drinking and playing around too much. Never met the guy but it’s made me very aware of sharp objects like gates and other stuff. I’m the stuff of nightmares.
Красиво смотреть как ты проводишь время , я тоже купил себе поладку на крышу , как твой первый вариант , очень комфортно , но в холодное время не разу не пробовал
impossible camping with snow for me because never happened in indonesia
Yeah but it’s a bit overrated. Camping in the cold is very tough. Although camping in high temps is too. I’m sure you see more hot humid camping than I do.
Just bought a 2021 TRD offroad premium yesterday! What kinda lift are you running? I can’t wait to start my camping journey! Also hello from a fellow Coloradan 👋
I’ll have a whole video soon on my whole lift set up. I’m going to be running Locked offroad as my lift pretty soon. It’s kinda like kings on a budget but there are some good other ones out there. Right now my kit is a hodgepodge or different companies. I do reccomend SPC uppers though in Colorado. The mechanics are covered from the elements, just make sure to grease them every so often.
Привет друг!!! Все как всегда познавательно, коротко и понятно👍👍👍,так и надо отдыхать . Желаю твоему каналу больше подписчиков и просмотров 🤝.
Thank you! Much love from the US!

Enjoyed the video. How do you like the silicone cookware? Is it work purchasing? I like the idea of the small pack size. Also, do you use your 12vdc heated blanket much? I purchased one but haven't used it yet. Have read mixed reviews on heat output. Thanks
I use my heated blanket almost every time I winter camp. It’s output leaves a lot to be desired but it’s at least minimally more warm.
Cookware is great but it’s not as versatile as a regular pan so it does have its drawbacks. If your flame is not too big then the cookware is perfect, if it’s any larger than that base then you need to turn it down and keep an eye on it. Other than making sure the flames don’t hit the sides and melt it, I love those collapsible stuff. Never been an issue with my stove.
Do you recommend that diesel heater? What did you think of that coffee? I have some coming this week.
The coffee is great, I take it camping and on just regular vacation/ road-trips. The diesel heater is a tough one because I like this one the best but diesel heaters are kinda annoying if you don’t have a truck bed. They weep when you climb at higher elevations so it’s possible they can leak onto the floor if they aren’t right beside you. I’ve since switched to a propex heater and I really like that. If you have a truck bed, 100% diesel heater is the way to go.
хорошо когда дом всегда с тобой
I’ve done the primitive thing for a long time, I’m happy to have a nice set up now.
Hello from 🇲🇾
Hello from Colorado 🇺🇸
I like the video, what was the collapsable bowl you put on the stove?
It’s a part of this set: amzn.to/3ZEqV7q
But you can probably buy it on its own on Amazon.
what is a fold-out pot that can be placed on a gas stove?
This is the pot and set but you can likely buy the pot separate if you just want that.
amzn.to/3wktMF8
Do you use the insulation insert for your ikamper?
I don’t have it but I’d love to try it. Would probably make camping a lot more comfortable in the cold.
@@OXFOOT I definitely recommend it! I’ve been camping all this winter with mine, and I’ve been able to sleep comfortably in just my base layer in my sleeping bag. Last weekend got down to -3 where I was, and I was still good through the night.
Never seen a diesel heater - what brand is it ?
It’s a Vevor diesel heater but I modified it a bit. I have a video on it. Let me see if I can’t find it.
This is the video; czcams.com/video/OTQ4e5gDkDo/video.html
Im early
Glad you made it
You're pronouncing the sausage correctly, you from Europe?
Kal-ba-sa
Huh?
It’s pronounced “keel-bah-sah” no?
@@OXFOOT I've been pronouncing Kal-ba-sa, since I was 4 or or 5.
bad configuration, if it blow blizzards with strong winds, then you can't cook outdoors.
The stove? I’ve had it in really high winds and been alright. I’ve also got meals that heat themselves with just room temp water if the stove can’t work. I always have tons of backups. What stove would make sense in a blizzard?
What area was this roughly?
I don’t want to give away too much but it’s north of Boulder CO a bit.
@@OXFOOT If you ever want to collab on some adventures, let me know ( based out of Parker. Go out with a Bronco and F250 overland build )
Hi
👋🏻 hey
The best Toyota is older ones, every new one struggles. I'm amazed how much editing happens to make them look like they are just as capable as a jeep. I've watched many youtubers recording and doing offloading in person, then look back at the videos and say , well that didn't happen like that. . Toyotas always struggle and often take a bunch of turns getting somewhere or need to get witched, or rocks are added to the road. In fact it iritatating because the trail is now made easier. Lol. Nice rig, just be careful. And I think people need to know this because people take there families out in these and think , well that guy on CZcams did it, we can do it to. Nope then us jeep people come along and rescue them, or older Toyota do.
Enjoy the video, to each their own. I’ve owned 3rd, 4th and 5th generations of Toyotas and they’ve been great. I’ve also seen a few flipped Jeeps but overall they’re good for off-roading as well.
I’ve had to help pull out a Jeep before, but no hate towards Jeeps. I learned to drive on a Jeep. A lot of it is driver awareness, experience and understanding if the capabilities.
Agreed
But yeah ideally an older 80series would be ideal if I had a daily. My 4Runner is my daily so I need it to do well on and offroad and it does both decently. Not amazing, but decent.
Thanks for sharing. I had to bail out early but great content
