this is kind of stupid logic. You want good bikes, and hopefully good, sound companies competing. not some dying brand, who leverages gov lobbying and predatory legislation to linger on as some zombie shit show of it's bygone days... throwing spaghetti at the wall.
if it doesn't legitimately impact the market, by being relevant, the other manufacturers won't be put in a position to respond.
It's also perfectly reasonable to wish harley dead... so some other moto manufacturer can take it's place.

@@stephenx2857 I mean I get what your saying based on their previous government cheat code tactics but it's a level playing field now and they're finally adapting. When there aren't artificial sweeteners being the recipe is that competing companies benefit consumers.
I'm just hoping they can survive the crashing wave if this economic bubble bursts in a real ugly way. I think every manufacturer is going to take some damage in the next 5 years. I just don't know if Harley will even have a big enough following to ride out the lows.

It’s like Harley finally understood that to seduce new (and young) riders, they needed to build actual modern motorcycles that can turn, brake and not antiquated 2 wheels tractors with 60 years old technology costing 2 to 3 times more what they really should.
Sure they look great and are raw and all, but you can see how much money people throw at them to make them into performance baggers, they change every single part on the bike.
Now for the Sportser S, I’m actually shocked how good it looks, it looks like a custom bike from the factory, it handles well, good suspensions, good brakes, motor is powerful and seems great, and all of that at a really good price! Makes you wonder how much of a rip off they are on the rest of their model.
Except the fact that I’m 6’6 and will look like I’m riding a minibike, everything on that bike makes me want to test ride it! Except the gimmicks I don’t care like motor modes and other things, but they sure look awesome sans seem great to ride!

Neither the sportster or the FTR,again based off this video, fit into the cruiser category or the sport/naked category. Yes the FTR looks more like a naked and the sportster looks more like a cruiser, but they dance the same line. And that line is this weird new class of bike that we’ve yet to fully understand. Perhaps a comparison between the two would help to light the way of this new/weird path. I think both of these bikes know exactly what they’re about, and I think it’s something of an awakening of a brand new class

I'm 102 Kg at 6'1" and this bike fits me like a glove... you need to have the preload set properly; fortunately this is easy with the knob left under the seat (all the way out, then 11 clicks in for my weight). This bike is FINALLY the right weight for the power|torque... its not a small motorcycle; other Harleys are too heavy. (needs to be said)
The RH1250S is going to save Harley-Davidson in my opinion. We finally have a sport cruiser that has power to spare and plenty of torque in the lower ranges where you really need it in an urban setting or up in the twisties too! Can't say enough, I love this bike!

That would be the first thing I'd change out. Other than that, it is quite a looker. The ergonomics are not new, I have a Triumph Bonneville America that has the same type of ergos.
