- Here's one of "The Twilight Zone" episodes that is rarely seen. It is not included in the syndication lineup but is included in the series DVD set. Those episodes left out of syndication are usually from being tied up in litigation for one reason or another. In this case, someone else claims the idea for the story. "A Short Drink from a Certain Fountain" examines a married couple that are separated in age by 40 years. A sugar-daddy hubby with his pretty, money-loving, young and active trophy-wife. But enough with the name-calling hyphenation. The older man, for some reason, wants to keep his gorgeous, self-absorbed wife badly enough, that he submits to a youth-generating drug that his younger brother developed and has only applied it to animals. It works! And works and works. I epitomize the story in this 4+ minute teaser made up of key clips. I cut out a spoiler.
I am a BIG fan of The Twilight Zone series of the sixties. It was groundbreaking, original and copied nothing. It did not, could not present these "fanciful tales" as real but rather surreal. As Rod Serling put it, they are stories that make us want to suspend our disbelief for the brief moment. We get a chance to loose ourselves in a fantasy for a few minutes. Filmmakers today still study this series as a reference. Here, I take a speed look at some highlights that catch my eye, of an episode from my perspective. Great episode. So he keeps getting younger. So when he's a newborn he manically starts to age again except to die?

There’s 2 things I think of when I see this episode. First is that he’s just a fool and the other is at what point does he start aging again?
My guess is he never starts aging again and reduces to an egg.
While this episode is rarely run in syndication, and MeTV doesn't include it in its TZ reruns, I have seen this one on SyFy Network, and it's also in the DVD set for Season 5. I've read that Tim Matheson (then Matthiesen) was in this episode, as a teenaged version of Harmon, I've never seen him in this episode on DVD or anywhere else.
Walk this through, the guy would end up back in the womb and I doubt his mom would be pleased - and then eventually back to sperm crawling backwards back to the dad - and wouldn't he be surprised - and then on it goes - backwards all the way to the garden of Eden. Then, Adam could tell Eve what she really needed to do - and if she still didn't listen, Adam could have still skipped the fruit and all of us guys to this day would be as Adam was before the fall. However, with Christ doing what He did for us AND TO US as Gentiles, we will still end up like Adam in the end... But you can only get that trip by looking to the teachings of the RISEN SAVIOUR and through the apostle Paul only - and as found ONLY in a King James Bible. Now TAHT is a twilight zone we should want!!!
I predict a certain short husband is going to be getting a lot of spankings from his wife for the next 14 years. Seriously I'm just surprised there isn't a ton of Twilight Zone fan fiction continuing this story.
