I was invited to a church in Hyderabad by my team leader (whole team of us Btw) and we went along. Being truly secular (which largely in india is mostly n largely a hindu, with some Sikhs, some Buddhists, and very few Christians only) I went along happily. My parents never told me to have a religious identity or outlook. I am talking about 2003 if memory serves me right. And I was shocked to find the priest at the pulpit talking against BJP, RSS and Modi and how we must defeat the Hindu goon. I sat there shocked. I looked over to my TL who lowered her eyes. Out of politeness, innate in us, no one discussed it. At that time, in my 20s i had no knowledge of politics and no interest. I walked into a Gurudwara a couple of years later and saw naked display of hatred against India and Hindus. A Hindu today, is not a proud Hindu because of BJP or RSS. It is because while a Hindu has remained a truly secular person, they are being abused, backstabbed by every other religious group. I can challenge anyone...walk into any temple today, North to south, east to west, there is no political hatred being fomented there. I have never once gone to a temple and i have been to countless and continue to go, and NOT EVEN ONCE have i come across the temple priest holding a mike and giving a political speech or preaching hate towards other religions. The contrast in this culture is blatant. Also i have not seen any politics in a Buddhist temples. I may have been to a dozen or more by now. But every single time I go to a church and Gurudwara (i still go out of respect when someone asks. I have no hatred at all) I see a clear display of political and religious identity display. Its STARKLY unspiritual, which is what one intuitively thinks a temple premise is for. But rarely is there (so it seems to me honestly) an honest introspection on this. Why is a Sikh , or a Christian unsecular. I wont include Muslims. They have to unsecular to be religious. 😢. So a Hindu actually must become politically awakened to survive else, like their ancestors, they will be mere skulls on a spoke.

n 1995 while I was visiting Ferozabad, an accident happened probably I was 6 or 7 years old, I saw people in half pants taking out bodies from the rubble, feeding everyone and providing medical assistance to everyone without asking their religion or background. There was also some robbing that was happening and they stand protecting the place, until the help from the government could arrive, but they were very slow. That was the first time i find out RSS, I met a lot of old retired people who are proud Hindus working in RSS, I was told many things but never once there was hatred. I mean whenever they accuse RSS, do they know that RSS is made up of old retired people trying to find meaning in society who happens to be Hindus. From many years Barkha and others have been trying to tell the people of this country that RSS is a terrorist organisation, a hard-line Right wing of Hindu nationalists. To justify that they show them exercising with sticks (comparing it with AK47 from other peaceful communities). Peaceful countries who have over 43% of the world's country in the name of Islam rest of them are Christians. But only Hindu's are being told that having a Hindu country is dangerous, we are being mocked for being a Hindu nation as if we should be ashamed of it. We are told that we do not matter other religions do. What happens is that when we put our head deep in our own ass trying to only work for the "maksad" you forget to see the reality of things. Long time back I have read somewhere, that having an open mind is good but your mind should not be so opened that it whistles every time there is a wind. Whenever people justify violence in Palestine because they were oppressed too much, they forget the same is being done to Hindus and continued even after the Independence. Our patience is being turned into our show of weakness and yet we will survive way beyond anyone every imagined. No, we never went and kidnapped people and asked for ransom during wars, or rape, or microwave children to tell people we are being oppressed. We are not a Hindu country, we are not even a country, we are just bunch of human beings getting pissed and riling up everywhere to say, "enough".

Whether you are a hindu, a muslim, a sikh, a parsee, a Jain, a Buddhist, a Christian or a Jew, there is no denying the fact that India is a hindu country. Just like European nations may have a sizeable population of arabs, turks, south asians, etc but are primarily Christian countries. Their principles, values, traditions, holidays, attire, etc - all reflect the culture and traditions of the majority. Why should one be ashamed of it? In fact, the more you try to fight it, the more irrelevant you’d become in the world stage. Because you’d be wasting all your time just trying to look “neutral” or “culturally-agnostic.”

HINDUS supported Gandhianism for 100 years, but they realized that in the process, they lost their territory, Pakistan, and Kashmiri Hindus were genocided. @@mountolympus1098 Minority appeasment is one of the reasons not the only reason. Dharma is also facing serious challeges from hedonism, greed and gluttony - all of which violate personal, social and environmental dharma. So, Hindutva forces have to go against them as well not just mullahs 🤣🤣 it is the reason why we are eventually going to have a "dharmic" economic model. It is a natural outcome of end of dollar or de-dollarization which also means the end of hyperconsumption and "individualism". De-dollarization also equals de-radicalization and de-missionarization. Kaliyuga ended in December 2012. We are in a transition period of 30 yr before Dwapra yuga again kicks in (period in which Krishna existed and Mahabharatha happened) . Yuga cycles are perpetual. You can be married, lead a life of restraint and be immersed in the meditation and contemplation of Brahma, which would make you a Brahmacari. However if you are so immersed in the quest of the Dharma that would wouldnt be able to care for your wife/husband/ children, then it is better for you/ your spiritual path and them that you remain celibate. Whats totally missing here in this discussion is the Hindu Spiritual Teachings. Most of their mindset is driven by the Principals of Bhagvad Gita, the Vedas and Manusmriti. In fact all of it.
If you actually compare, there is very little difference between Shri Krishna's life and Modi's conduct. The way of solving problems, teachings all similar. No wonder do you find the PM quoting Sanskrit Verses so often in his speech - a philosophy very dear to his heart. So unless you understand what krishna or The Gita core philosophies are, you will go off track in interpreting BJP's behaviour.

The problem with these Western-educated intellectuals is that they get half of it right and half of it wrong. But they need to convince their side that they got it rightfully. For example, RSS asks their pracharak not to have family ties because of Siddhant of Yogi's Life and principles rooted in Hinduism. Ordinary Hindus know this. RSS is not going anywhere, and the BJP is not changing as it did not change earlier the BJP times of Advani and Vajpayee.
Ideology is a loose construct in today's diverse and modern world but has far certain boundaries. Like Sanatan Dharma, you are santani as long as you don't subscribe to monolithic faith principles and believe in letting everybody live in peace, etc.,
The more I come to this podcast, the better it is to hear the pain and the brainstorming among lost liberals on how BJP is winning, and as Sanatani, we pass these inputs back to RSS and the BJP think tank and learn. As Chanakya said, keep your enemy closer !!

Mahatma Gandhi's inclusive politics failed miserably the day India got partitioned. Harping on his brand of inclusiveness over the years is useless. Indians hv realized how more than 95 percent of muslims voted for the muslim league. India wd not hv been partitioned if the educated upper caste muslim males(ashraf) who had the voting rights had voted with congress i.e Mahatma Gandhi. Most of the Ashraf caste sided with Jinnah. And many of these people stayed back in India. The females and the ajlaf caste had no votes at that time.
Majority of these muslims stayed in India after voting for muslim league and their descendents falsely say they chose India over Pakistan. They chose India over Pakistan because despite voting for muslim league the areas where they lived i.e bihar and UP were not marked into Pakistan. The separate identity politics of partition has continued since than ... Rise of BJP is an answer to it...
